It was a nice day, one of those kinda of days where you wanted to do something special for someone and that someone was his little sister Sueno. With all the adventuring he had been doing with Karayan it had been awhile since he had seen the young dovaa. He had learned the hard way though that wishing for something more exciting to happen ...and mixing the dovaa into the mix was a terrible idea. He was still recovering from bruises from their last 'adventure'. Mishaps though seemed to be a better word for it.
Of course his little sister had the opportunity of meeting him...lucky her.
All in all he just wanted a nice day with his little sister to do something special for her. With the gift she gave him he felt like he had been a pretty poor brother up till now. She was growing up so quickly it made his heart sick. So he had gotten up early, SUPER early to do not only his chores but hers so she wouldn't feel bad if they left for a small trip. He then prepared them a lunch basket to take with them and snuck into her room before launching a tickle attack on her.
"Come on come on time to get up! I got something special to do with you today!"

jayoku I'm assuming that Karayan will join in the RP once we get them on the boat. Till then, it's us rp-ing right? Sueno woke up as her brother pounced on her and tickled her awake. Laughing she thrashed about, "Ah'm up! Ah'm up! No more Dyn-Dyn!" She sat up when he stopped and yawned. Something special? That sounded nice, maybe he'd actually stay home today instead of hunting! "What special thing are ye gonna do? Ah dinna have anything special planned today." She asked him as she ran her fingers through her straight hair; nice thing about it was it didn't snarl easily so brushing it was never very painful. He looked very chipper, how long has he been up? She wondered.

robot kitten Yep! I figure we can quote her when its a good time for her to jump in. Giving a half grin at her constant use of that nickname, she was the only person he'd allow to call him such a thing. Giving another playful tickle he stretched his own arms over his head, after all he did do all well..most of her chores for the morning. "Well I was thinking that I could take you on a trip. Somewhere you've wanted to go for awhile..." He mused outloud as if she should know right away what it was he was planning. "I got all your chores done this morning, so you best be excited for the day. Get dressed I have some breakfast for you in the kitchen and a picnic lunch for later."

Sueno squeaked with happiness and gave her brother a hug before pushing him out of the room. "Trip! Picnic! Ah wanna go shopping!" She hurriedly grabbed a clean set of clothes and braided a long strand of her hair before she hurried outside to make sure that her animals where all fed and that Madryn had done all the chores. She grinned when she saw that he had indeed freed her up. Plus she didn't have lessons at the neighbors farm today! Today was going to be fun! A day out with her brother! "So what do ye have planned big brother?" She asked happily

Chuckling as his sister went about getting dressed and checking to make sure no chores of hers were missed he munched on some home made bread enjoying this little bit of rest before they went off on their day trip. Once she was back he brushed the crumbs off of his mouth and then went to give his sister a one armed hug. "Well I was thinking ...since you've been working so hard, that we could go to that island market. You know the one you've been dropping hints about wanting to go see for the last I can't even remember how long." He dropped the bombshell if only because he couldn't wait any longer to see her reaction. It could of been more fun to take her to the ferry and then see how she would react...but....where was the fun in that?

She clapped her hands together excitedly before giving her brother a big hug, "It is a shopping trip! Ohhh, thank ye, Madryn! Ah been wanting to go there fer a while." She had a huge smile on her face, shopping, plus begin with her brother all day! Today was going to be a blast! She had a bit saved up too, so she could buy something expensive for once! New dress? She was starting to out grow her stuff. Maybe a new pet? Something strange and exotic? Or maybe some books on animals, their habits, tips on how to catch and train them. She wasn't much for reading, but if it had useful information ,than why not? Oh! Or she could get some new plants or seeds for her garden! So much to chose from! She grinned, " Ah'm gonna drag you all over the place! Gotta check out what they have before Ah buy anything!" She teased him.

Madryn smiled, quite peacefully. There was nothing that made him more happy than to see his little sister happy. That was his entire purpose, he wanted to be there for her, never let her get hurt..not again. Not like last time. So he let her be super excited about the day. He would let her drag him around wherever she wanted to do, to whatever stall she wanted to see. Heck he even saved up a bit of money so that he could buy her something special. Chuckling he ruffled her hair, "Come on you silly goose, we are going to miss the ferry boat if you are just going to jump around like that." He teased in return as he went to gather the last of their stuff for the trip. Then he went to open their front door and offered his sister his arm to hold onto.

jayoku guess it's time for them to be on boat! She said with a mock pout as she tried to guard her hair. She accepted her brothers arm as they left the house. She chattered at him all the way to the ferry; talking about some of her plans for her garden, what type of animals she was thinking she wanted to raise and train one day, her lessons on ranching, and the things she was thinking of buying. They did make it to the ferry with plenty of time. Sueno scampered on board as soon as they got there and claimed a spot along the front bow so she could watch where the boat was going. Soon after the ferry left the dock and began it's slow way across the large lake, Sueno spotted a ferry coming towards them. "Hey look, Dyn-dyn, another boat! We'll be on that one when we go home right?"

robot kitten so who should be the big scary dragons? orpheus solon probaly a good place to bring Karayan in biggrin Madryn never minded Seuno's chatter, in fact he found it rather endearing. Of course if it was anyone else he probably would of found it irritating, but it being his little sister he was allowed to be bias. The trip to the ferry boats wasn't too long and he could only chuckle as Seuno scampered onto the prow of the boat. He went to sit behind her and sat down feeling for once rather peaceful. They would go onto the island do some shopping and then come home. Short and simple and it should be fun. Leaning an elbow on the edge of the boat he looked over and into the water, chuckling at the funny reflection of himself and his sister. Looking up when she pointed out the other ferry he nodded his head. "Yep that will be our trip home. Though I hope your not ready to jump back on it yet." Madryn chuckled though he could of sworn he saw something flit past under the water....nah must just be his imagination.

After the run in with the rather interesting woman named Kadryn, a powerful Orderite that he'd gotten into a sparring match with, Karayan was off to hunt for Peisio. She said that they were in the area, that they were even a bothersome speicies, and he was more then eager to see about facing off against them, wanting to gather up his orbs. According to his gram he was going to need more orbs to bring to Marcus soon enough which mean he really needed to find more of them. He felt that bringing him a variety of orbs would show that he'd battled a variety of enemies and was doing well in his training toward becoming a strong member of their race. That was the thought at least and probably the deepest one that he'd ever had of late. Lifting his gaze up so that he could look at Ember, or at least look at her best he could given her perch, he said, "I think the best thing we can do at the moment is try to find ourselves a farmer. Kadryn made it seem as though the Peisio like to hassle them so if anyone knows where we should go to fight them it would be the farmers." He told her, then thought about it a moment before adding, "I wonder if Madryn or Sueno would know where some are?" They were farmers after all so surely they would be the best ones to ask. Them or their parents at least... alright! He had a plan! The answer he got for all of his musing was a little, lazy chirp from the fairy dragon that was lounging on his head but he didn't take it too hard. She just wasn't the most enthusiastic when it came to hunting anything but stuff she was bigger then. Anything else and she would hide herself in his pack until he'd chased the scary things off. Probably for the best, he'd hate for the pretty little girl to get roughed up after all. Trudging forward in the direction he felt that Madryn and Sueno's place was located in, though he could easily be wrong. His sense of direction wasn't bad but he also didn't know every inch of Serenia. A bit of guessing was just a part of the job.

Orpheus Solon I'll play big bad dragon!! Poor Karayan.. I bet they know where I can find some Peisios! Yeah.. look down...There's one beneath you! XD jayoku It's always Peisio's isn't it? They almost ate her when she was younger and now they take her brother's arm.. I think Sue's gonna develop a distaste/fear for going out on boats.... Added a bit more info cause I can! XD Sueno wrinkled her nose at her brother, "Course not! Ah've got shopping to do!." A wave caused the boat to roll slightly and she gripped the rails as her eyes caught sight of the same shadow her brother had seen. Leaning out over the rail she frowned. "Dyn-dyn, what big things live in this lake?" She asked hesitantly. It was safe to travel on the ferry fright? Not right as it turned out. The peisio that had been circling beneath the passing ferries flew out of the lake's surface, using it's magic to send waves swamping the ferries and causing them to tilt dangerously to the side. People on both the ferries stumbled and tried to catch their balance while looking around in panic. Screams started as the ambushing Dragon dove right at the prow where Sueno and her brother stood. The other passengers scrambled to get out of the way, many of the older Orderites taking to the skies to flee, while others started forward to try and battle the dragon. Sueno stood petrified, her mind and body frozen in fear. It was another one of the blue dragons that had attacked her and her brother when they were younger.... But this time she didn't have any place to run!

Straightening he felt the hairs on his neck prickle, this...wasn't good. As the boat rocked dangerously to the side he felt himself stand up and stagger to his sister's side. The urge to protect her overwhelming, even if he didn't know what was going on. At her words he felt himself feel uneasy, he wanted to tell her that she was being silly and shouldn't be worrying but everything...wanted to go against him. What he wanted to happen, he wanted to just treat his sister to a nice day of shopping...this couldn't be happening. Right? As the dragon launched itself right in front of where they were he felt his eyes widen and he immediately wrapped himself around his sister to protect her. Whilst there were screams of fear as the dragon attacked all he could do was try and shield Sueno. "Come on Sue I know that you don't fly much but you need to now!' He managed as he unfurled his own wings and tried to lift off with her. But it was too much weight and they merely lifted slightly before crashing back down to the deck. The boat was rapidly being torn apart, but he wasn't going to let anything happen to his sister.

The screams were distant, those that sounded as though they were coming from the direction of... the water? He tilted his head to one side before looking up toward Ember, "You think that is what we are looking for?" He asked, then as he heard another scream he decided that it really didn't matter. If it were dragons, invading soldiers, or something else entirely, he supposed that he really should go out there and help, huh? He was a hero after all! Of course as he ran forward he found himself wondering if this were a good idea. What if whoever he was running to didn't appreciate the help of a Dovaa? He was in Orderite lands after all. Ah well, he'd worry about that when he got there.
The Gaili found himself going full full speed toward the sounds of... battle? Or something, he couldn't tell yet. As he came out of the grove of trees he was in, able to see what was going on, he found himself starring in surprise, "It's... attacking a boat... Do you see that, Ember?" He hadn't known that dragons would attack boats. That would make things a lot more difficult, wouldn't it? No matter, he'd just have to get out there and fight off the dragon! Gathering his power to himself he started to charge forward toward the shoreline. It would take some doing, as well as using his power in a manner he hadn't done before, but he'd get to those boats!

jayoku Ah the pains of having humming bird wings! They'll be big soon. but for now they're much too small XD And I don't have too much to post.. it's mostly just reactions to the fear and your actions so tag! Sueno clung to her brother's arm. " Ah can't..." She whimpered. "Dere too small..." Her words were reverting to a more heavy accent with the fear. And in fact the wings were small things that buzzed and flapped in agitation, far too small to carry her right now. The boat was starting to sink, and Sueno suddenly realized, she really didn't know how to swim very well... Enough to paddle away but would that be fast enough to escape? The dragon turned it's attention from those fleeing to those who hadn't fled. A few of the passengers had drawn arms and were trying to beat it back... but today's passengers had mostly been farmers and civilians so they did not have the skill to kill it.

Madryn didn't bring a weapon with him, only a shield lay on his back and that was more to show his sister how much he loved the gift she had given him, he had wanted to show it off to as many people as he could, and proudly proclaim that it was his sister (although he still figured she did a stupid thing by going into the crypts in the first place) that had got it for him. But now was not the time to be thinking such things, the dragon was attacking, his sister couldn't fly and he couldn't fly with her weight. Being her older brother he knew she was...an okay swimmer but trying to escape water dragons would be like trying to avoid breathing. It just wasn't going to happen. A shadow loomed and it took him a split second in the chaos to realize it was a dragons shadow, shoving his sister out of the way as it was the only thing he could think of doing before the teeth sank into his shoulder. Pain blossomed, and probably the only reason why his entire arm wasn't bitten right off was due to the shield on his back. This perhaps wasn't a good thing as it meant the dragon had to shake its head violently to dislodge the metal in between its teeth thus causing severe damage to the muscles and tendons on Madyrn's shoulder. He was screaming. There was nothing else he could think of doing as pain blinded him. As he wasn't facing the dragon he couldn't attack to force it to let go. Though suddenly he found himself flying, he should try and fly, his brain desperately told him. But the massive wound and the blood loss caused him to only think of this just as he hit the water.
