Fifi crept along quietly, making sure to stick to the shadows. This was it, her first real test. Rumor had it that the criminal group Team Magma was trying to set up shop in Zatao. Team Rocket didn’t much like that. Fifi’s mission was to infiltrate a warehouse that the higher ups thought Team Magma might be using.

It was her first solo mission, and Fifi was both excited and nervous. If she flubbed this, she might be demoted back to trainee. Fifi had just gotten out of the dreaded red outfit that clearly marked the lowliest of the low within Team Rocket. The black outfit of a Grunt was a huge improvement. Of course, the white of an Agent would look even nicer. But enough day-dreaming! She had a job to do!

With a glance around to make sure the coast was clear, Fifi pulled out a lockpick set. A few minutes later, the lock clicked open. Fifi slipped inside quickly, looking for an alarm keypad. As expected, there was a grimy collection of numbered buttons near the door. The pad was dark, even the standby lights off. Fifi grinned. That was one less worry for her! Slipping into a shadowed corner, Fifi held still, listening carefully for any guards or other occupants. After a few minutes, she risked moving further into the warehouse, looking for any sign of people or pokemon. Nothing. A cautious search revealed that she was the only person in the warehouse.

Finally relaxing a little, Fifi looked at the actual contents of the echoing space. A forklift huddled in the corner, clearly used to move the pallets of boxes and crates that lined the walls. Fifi examined the boxes, taking pictures here and there. One of them confirmed the information her bosses had. Red Team Magma uniforms filled the crate, brand new and unused. Many of the other boxes seemed to be spare parts for large machinery, presumably the pieces that had claimed the majority of the center of the warehouse. There was a big bulldozer, a slightly smaller loader, an excavator, a trencher, a grader, and a few other miscellaneous machines. Most looked to have seen better days.

With a grin, Fifi grabbed a box cutter sitting on a rickety workbench. She should make sure the machines had seen better days. Climbing all over the machines, she nicked every hose she could find, releasing various necessary fluids.

Two more boxes revealed Poochyena stickered balls and Numel stickered balls. The Numels might get her some praise, even if it wasn’t terribly rare, just slightly uncommon. Oooh! In a smaller box covered in dust, Fifi found a handful of Vulpix-marked balls. Further exploration revealed nothing more of value. Fifi happily crammed the pokeballs into a sack.

Team Magma’s loss was her gain, and this haul would cement her status as a valuable member of Team Rocket. Fifi wasted no time leaving the warehouse. It didn’t take her long to get to the old, battered jeep she seemed to get every mission. Tossing her sack of loot in the passenger seat she jounced and bounced back to base, grinning the whole time. Between the pictures and her unexpected find, she would be in the bosses good graces for some time.
