Katherine Evergood smiled as she walked with her dads to the portal between the magical world and the muggle one. Today they had directions to get to Diagon Ally to get her supplies for school. She was a witch. A muggleborn. She and her parents looked around the ally amazed before remembering Professor McGonagall giving them instructions on what to do and get done to get their things. First Katherine's dads changed their pounds in to gallons, then on to get her a wand. She also grabbed a wand holder so her new wand wouldn't go in to her pocket.
Next was getting the required books. Her Dad and her Father laughed as she went crazy in the bookstore. She got the required books and some for side learning like Animagus and the possible careers she could go in to. After that, They got robes, a trunk, a potion kit, complete with potion supples. "Come on Katherine." Her father said with a warm smile as they walked in to the magical pet shop. "What are we doing here, Father, dad?" She asked amazed looking around the shop in wonder. "We are here to get you an owl. We want to make sure you mail us letters all the time while you are away at Hogwarts." Her Dad watching was a smile as her face lit up some more.
Katherine looked through the owls. She backed away from any who screeched loudly at her. Until she met one, he was beautiful with a heart shape looking face. He cooed at her and she knew that he was hers. A few minutes later and she was walking out with her new owl, Sorren. She had him perched on her shoulder comfortably. On the way home, she had let him fly the way there.
Two days later, the family of three were going through the train station trying to find 9 3/4. Katherine found it as a large family of red heads and a boy with a scar on his face were by the passage.

Watching as the twin redheads run through the wall, Katherine turned to her dads and kissed them good bye. She smiled to the scarred boy and another red headed boy before taking a hold of her cart and running through the passageway. The witch gasped at the look of the large red train. She met another muggleborn. Her name was Hermione and the two sat together on the train becoming friends. They talked about what classes they were looking forward to. They were trying out some spells when a boy opened their door. "Hello I'm Neville Loungbottom. And I lost my toad, Trevor. Have you seen him?" He asked. Both witches looked at each other before shaking their heads. "Sorry, Neville. We haven't see any toads." Hermione started, "But if you would like, Hermione and I can help you out. I'm Katherine Evergood." "And I am Hermione Granger." They introduced themselves before helping him.
Katherine was thinking in her head of the spells she read about in the other charms books she bought along with her school assigned ones. She was thinking about using one of the spells to find the toad when Hermione opened another open.
"Hello, Have you seen a toad? Neville's lost one?" Hermione asked kindly with a straight forward voice. Katherine noticed that they were the same two boys from the train station. She also noticed that the red head was about to do a spell. Hermione noticed too. "Oh were you about to do a spell? Well then go on. Let's see." She said with interest. Katherine was interested too. "Yes come on then. Hermione and I have tried some of the spells in our books and they have work out fine." She said sitting down next to Hermione.

Both girls look at each other before introducing themselves. "I am Hermione Granger." Hermione said. Katherine looked at Harry before pulling out her wand. "I'm Katherine Evergood and I'm sorry but your glasses are distracting." She said pointing her wand at him. "Oculus Reparo ,there now. And Hermione I think I know the spells to get Trevor." Katherine said excited. She casted an a summoning charm. Trevor came in quickly. Katherine then waved her wand and he was sent off to Neville. Hermione clapped her hands, "And that is amazing! It's the accio spell a fifth or seven year spell?" She asked. Katherine nodded with a smile. Katherine looked to the boys, "Hermione and I are muggleborns so we are excited with anything magical. Especially learning it." She explained. She looked to Harry, "Now how are the glasses? Better?" she asked concerned.

Hermione smiled before saying, "Well I would like to go to Gryffindor but I might go to Ravenclaw cause I love to learn many things." She said to Harry and Phobius, she didn't like how Ron was acting. Katherine shrugged before saying, "Truthfully, I like all the characteristics of all the houses. I wouldn't mind going to either one, though I might not go to Slytherin on the account of me being a muggleborn." Katherine said honestly. She looked out the window before looking to Hermione, "We have to get back to our cabin, Hermione. We have to get changed in to ours. We are almost there." She said getting up. Both witches smiled to the boys before saying together, "It was nice meeting you guys see ya!" They waved before quickly getting to their cabin.

A blonde boy entered the compartment shortly after the girls left, two bulky boys in tow; however, he must have done something, because a moment later, an aura of what could best be described as pure fear flooded that portion of the train, and the blonde, his two lackeys, and Ron all bolted out, obviously aiming to go as far away from the compartment as possible.
Harry gave Phobius a wide-eyed look as the boy's aura of fear subsided; the red-eyed young man noticed the look and shrugged. "Bigots are one of the few things that can irritate me," he said simply. "Having two of them in the same room was a bit too much." Harry nodded in understanding, relaxing slightly, and the two boys sat in comfortable silence, one reading, the other thinking.

"Dunno," Harry admitted. "Everyone seems to think I'll be in Gryffindor, though." He didn't seem all that happy about that though... all the expectations probably weren't appreciated.
"Expectations are the guide of the insecure," Phobius advised him calmly, guessing what the problem was. "As long as you are happy with your choices, the opinions of others are meaningless."
Harry blinked in surprise. "That's... surprisingly deep, considering you... er..."
"Have little to no grasp of emotion? I think a lot," Phobius answered with a shrug. "Besides, placing expectations on others is a matter of judging them, and judging is only human. It just so happens that the humans who do that particular form of judging are either very perceptive or very idiotic."
