Samoset wasn't entirely sure of where he and his brother had wandered away to, but it was pretty cool! It looked like a village, one far smaller than Andile, and it was filled with these... Colorless people? Were they blue? Gray? He leaned forward from his position in the tree, where he and Kennet had decided would be their temporary look out station, and gently tugged his brother's hand.
"You think Aisha forgot to paint them?" He asked, tilting his head.

Kennet, jogged away from his intent gazing, blinked at his brother's question. He paused, mimicked Samoset's positioning, and pursed his lips. Maybe, maybe, but he didn't think they needed colors at all. They were pretty, very, very, pretty! He leaned backwards and turned to Samoset.
"Nah, daddy said that only us Alkidikes have Mama Aisha." He said. "These mus' be those other people that daddy said live here. I forgot the name..."

Ikuri was running around near their house. She was allowed in the forest, as long as she didn't go super far from their house and brought Loxodonta with her. He was still a baby, but her momma had brought him to a beast tamer in Ast and she was training him pretty well. Lox already knew the commands charge and stay. She was just trying to get away from her sister for the day, although she adored her twin sister to death Ikkio wasn't always the nicest person to be around. Plus she was pretty sure that her sister was jealous that her father got Ikuri Lox.
"Come on Lox! I want to practice my magic!" she said as she moved around and the small Mammu followed her. She had already started to show a small amount of skill in magic, and although she really couldn't control it, she liked to pretend that she could.

Samoset was the first to spot Ikuri and Lox, and his eyes practically bugged out of his head. There was a girl around their age here, and she had such a strange animal! What was it? It was so fluffy and cute! He tugged his brother over to his side and pointed towards a tree close to where Ikuri was.
"Let's swing over there, she looks like fun!" He exclaimed, leaping to the next tree over, tugging Kennet along. They were barely noticeable, except for the occasional shake in the leaves, and managed to get into the tree beside Ikuri without much of a commotion.
Then, once situated, Samoset swung himself over a tree branch, upside down, and grinned at Ikuri.
"Hi!" He said. "What are you? What is that? Can we play?"

Kennet echoed his brother's expression and nodded wildly to his question. Absolutely, she was very very interesting! He'd never seen hair that pretty, either! His daddy's hair was pretty and black, but this girl's hair was pretty and white! He wanted to see if it was soft, like fur!
"Okay!" He agreed, allowing himself to be tugged along the trees. Once they got to the tree closest to Ikuri, he leaned forward to pat her head, curiously, only to copy his brother's upside down swing instead.
"Is your hair made of silk?" He inquired, emulating his brother's smile. "I like you, what are you called?"

As she walked Ikuri noticed the leaves moving slightly, but she brushed it off as the wind or a harmless animal. Nothing that was a threat to her. She stopped dead in her tracks however when Samoset swung himself upside down, causing Lox to run into her back. Than suddenly there were two of them! So they were twins! This was wonderful! "You guys are twins, like sister and I!" she said excitedly, not answering their questions just yet. Looking at them she wondered what exactly they were. Her mother was teaching her about the different kind of earthlings, and of course the alkidikes, but they seemed to be a mix of two different races. So they were halflings like her!
Finally she realized that both of them had asked questions. "I am Ikuri, and that is my companion Lox!" she said as she patted the small Mammu's head. "My hair is sadly not made of silk, and I'd love to play!" she said looking from one to the other excitedly. She hadn't really been around anyone else that was her age, and they looked cool! Already they seemed to be nicer than her sister was. "I'm half shifter and half ice, what are you guys?" she asked curiously. Their hair looked nice, especially the one that had it half shaved. She was thankful for that, otherwise she would have thought she was talking to two of the same person.

Samoset laughed and swung down from the tree, landing with a little bit of a wobble.
"Hi, Ikuri!" He exclaimed, extending his hand out to shake. "I'm Samoset, and this is my brother, Kennet! We're from Andile!"
He paused, his gaze drifting towards Lox. What was that thing? It was so big and fluffy...
"Can I pet Lox?" He asked, his hands reaching out to the Mammu. "Is it friendly? What is it?"

Kennet followed his brother down the tree in a similar fashion, but approached Ikuri and Lox in what appeared to be a cautious manner. He looked Ikuri over curiously and eventually extended his hand to her as well, but it wasn't as firmly presented as Samoset's had been.
"We're Alkidikes, like our daddy." He said, in a matter-of-fact tone of voice. "We are also Leaf, but we don't know much about them. What are Shifter and Ice?"
His eyes darted towards Samoset as he asked to pet Lox, and furrowed slightly. How could his brother be so sure that whatever that thing was wouldn't try to bite him? He reached out to grab his brother's shoulder.
"No, you don't know where it's been!" He exclaimed. "It could be Menzuri, like those things daddy said not to touch!"

She took both the boys hand, once with each of her own. This was so exciting!
Okay, she knew about the Alkidikes, but she didn't know much about Leaf members though. She knew that they were earthlings though. "My mom is from this place called Zena, it is very far away and full of snow and always cold. That is what Ice is, and Shifter is what most of the people around here are." she said with a smile. She didn't know how to explain Shifters much better. "Shifters change colors with the sun and the moon." yes, that was another thing about them.
Ikuri nodded to Samoset. "Yes, he is very very nice. My mom says he is a Mammu, only..." what was the word again? Oh yeah! "A dwarf Mammu! He won't be huge like other Mammus." She said with a nod. It made him even more special then the fact that he wasn't from around there. When Kennet told him brother not to touch Lox she frowned slightly. "What is a Menzuri? And I promise that Lox is safe, he is very nice too. He won't hurt you."

Samoset made a face at his brother and tugged his hand away. He could pet what he wanted, and Ikuri said that it was safe! He reached towards Lox and quickly set to petting him, giggling at how soft he was.
"Wow! Lox is so soft and fluffy!" He exclaimed. "How did your mommy get him? Did she catch him?"

Kennet listened to Ikuri with an air of skepticism, before eventually sighing and giving Lox a pat as well. Eh, he was soft and fluffy, sure... He shrugged his shoulders. What was so important about it?
"Oooh. Our daddy knows someone from that place." He nodded. "His name is Viveka, or something. He likes to hit rocks and make stuff with them."

With the new hands on Loxy he made a little noise and touched them with his trunk. Ikuri laughed. "That is how he says hello!" she said happily. If Loxy liked these boys than they were cool.
"I like your hair." she said looking at them both. She liked the one who called himself Samoset more, the half shaved looked cool... Maybe her mom would do that for her? But it was kind of braided? That was fun. She wondered if it hurt.
"Actually my father bought him for me. She caught her roati though, and she is also from Zena." Ikuri said proudly. When Kennet said the name Viveka she titled her head. Hum... "I don't think my mommy knows anyone named Viveka. Though making stuff with rocks? That seems strange..." she said. Boring too, but it would be rude to say that.
