Xander walked over to one of the designated spots in the training stadium with a smile. "You ready for this Jack? This wont be a serious battle, just something to get you some experience what to do." he said then pulled a pokeball off his belt and tossed it into the arena. "Tigra! Lets go!" The Meowth appeared and got into a ready position, tail lashing behind her.

Jack walked into the training room and grabbed one of the instruction manuals and quickly read up on the rules. "I guess?" He said to Xander as Viper slid off him and into the area coiling onto her self and hissing at the meowth her jaws open wide and her fangs gleaming. He was glad this wasn't going to be an all out battle. He wasn't sure if he say anything to cheer Viper on or what he would say, she seemed pretty confident.

Xander nodded at Jack then looked to Tigra. "Use Fake Out!" He called out. The Meowth was instantly on the move. She darted towards the Ekans from the left only to jump over onto the right and swiped at Viper with glowing front paws.

Viper hissed cat pokemon attacked her and almost lashed out on her own but paused mid-strike realizing her partner would learn anything if she did all the work for him.
The battle started of fast Jack was unprepared and quickly flipped through the pages trying to find an attack for Viper to use. He was lucky that Ekans was on of Team Rockets standard pokemon so the book had a move set list for it. "Uh Poison Fang!" He called out to viper, his 'shout' being he equivalent for a normal tone for anyone else.
The snake once again lunged at the meowth, hoping to sink her powerful fangs into its flesh.

Tigra danced out of the way for the attack as Xander called out her next move. "Growl!" The Meowth bounced a bit away from the snake then let out a loud Growl, tail lashing harder.

Viper hissed in annoyance as the attack missed, if she hadn't waited for jack then she would have had hit the other pokemon.
"Um Try to poison it!" Jack called to viper reading that the attack they just used could also be used to poison.
Viper launched her self at the pokemon again her fangs bared and dripping with poison.

Once again Tigra danced out of the way of the attack. She gave a cat smirk at the snake for the second miss. While she wasn't strictly a battler, you still battle in contests so Xander had been sure to train her. "Tigra, use Pay Day!" The Meowth purred then the coin on her forehead started to glow. After a second, beams of light came out came out of the coin, turning into coins themselves, and flew at Viper.

Viper dodged the attack and lunged in for another not bothering to wait for Jack's command. She was tired of missing this stupid fu neutral r ball.
Jack opened his mouth to say something but Viper struck faster than he could speak and he closed his moult again.

Tigra yowled when Viper's attack connected and used Slash on instinct. Xander winced at Tigra's yowl but didn't say anything since the Meowth had already attacked.

Viper Hissed as the cat scratched her deeply drawing a bit of blood.
Jack froze for a moment seeing the deep wounds on Viper, if this was practice, he hated to see a real battle. "Uh Venoshock!" He commanded looking trough the book for a good attack.
Viper hissed again and spat poison out of her fangs at the feline pokemon.

"Hang in there Tigra, try Pay Day again." Xander called with a grimace when the feline was hit with the attack. The training battle was getting a bit more heated then he had meant it to be.
Tigra glared at the snake pokemon before shooting some more coins at Viper with a defiant "Meow!"

"Good Job Viper!" Jack called softly to his pokemon, she seemed to be doing okay despite the blood.
The snake hiss in pain as the coins struck her and she rattled her tail angrily before spiting more poison at the cat. She did not want to lose to this fluff ball.

Tigra tried to dodge the poison but couldn't quite do it. She let out a hiss of pain and moved back a bit. "Tigra, use slash again!" At Xander's call she tarted forward and attacked with her claws.

Jack watched viper move around and wondered if he was holding her back by telling her what to do, she seemed to be doing fine on her own so he stopped and watched, waiting to see if she needed any help.
Viper rattled her tail and spat more venom as she was once again to slow to slither out of the way and was scratched by the cat's sharp claws.
