Gabriel hadn't left his couch since the morning after he brought Des into the Negaverse. He'd teleported home, curled into a ball, and stopped moving. Grief and guilt were eating him up - for his parents, because he'd gotten them killed, for bringing Des into the Negaverse, for letting Cait corrupt. He was pretty sure that he didn't deserve the promotion he'd been handed - and he wondered maybe, if he asked, he'd be demoted like Bischofite. In his case it would be a blessing instead of a punishment.
Clary tapped her foot on the ground, frowning down at Gabriel's cell phone. She ducked into the bedroom that was usually his, but where she had slept since he claimed her couch. She shut the door and then picked a number - the last one he had dialed, for someone labelled "Starshine."

Des blinked at the sound of the phone, stopping in his sketching and reaching for his phone. He tilted his head curiously as the screen flashed Angel. Calls from Gabriel were pretty rare. In fact, it was himself who usually initiated a call. Gabriel always preferred to text or just randomly show up. Pressing the answer button he pressed the phone to his ear. "...Angel?"

Clary tapped her fingers nervously against her thighs as she waited for an answer, and exhaled when she finally got one. "Uhm, not exactly," she said, her voice soft. "But if 'Angel' is Gabriel, he...probably needs you right now. He hasn't moved off the couch for a couple of days and I can't seem to shake him out of it..." She swallowed. "Do you uh, know what...happened to his parents?" It would be a baseline test to see if this was someone she could trust.

He blinked. A girl? Des stared at his phone stupidly for a moment before snapping to again. "...Yeah. I know about his parents... We talked about it last night.." Des said softly. "Uhm. I can be there in a few and I'll see if I can get him up and moving for a bit."

Clary let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you so much, I'm not exaggerating when I say he probably saved my life and I really hate seeing him like this. Uhm, I'm - I'm Clary, by the way." She swallowed. "And we're just friends! I'm staying with him until I can get on my feet."

"Probably hasn't eaten much either..." Des sighed, making a mental note to feed the boy as well at some point. Des laughed. "I know sweety. You don't hafta explain anything to me. He's always been the type to let someone crash with him if they needed too. I'll be over in a few minutes. And my name is Desmond.

"Okay, see you soon!" Clary said, and then she hung up the phone and took several breaths. Well, that hadn't been too terrible, had it? And she'd found someone who could help. She walked back into the room, leaning against the back of the couch. "Somebody's coming over to see you, okay?" There was no response, and she sighed.

It took a matter of minutes before there was a knock on Gabriel's door. "Clary?" Des called. "It's me!" He'd atleast give the girl some notice before just walking in. He didn't need to scare the hell outta her. Walking over to the couch, he needed down and gently began to stroke Gabriel's hair and throat. "Hey Angel..." He said softly. Come on sweety..."

Gabriel made a soft whining noise when he heard Des's voice, curling into himself tighter. The gentle touches, however, did make him roll over to face his boyfriend. "You don't hate me?" He asked, his voice crackling from disuse.
Clary flashed Des a smile and then quickly retreated back into Gabriel's bedroom, pressing her hand to her chest. She certainly wasn't going to get involved - that was a terrifying thought.

"No.. Never. Why would I hate you? Because you left? No.. I did the same thing remember? .. Or did you mean last night?" He reached over, curling his arms around Gabriel. "It's okay...Come on Angel... Let's go to my house for a bit hmm? Give Clary some time to herself. What do you think?" He asked gently.

"Because corruption hurts and because now you're stuck in this stupid mess of a war too. And then we..." he paused, face turning bright red, "and I ran out on you after..." Gabriel scooted forward and wrapped his arms around Des, burying his face against his boyfriend's shoulder. "Yes, okay, let's get out of here. I'll...come be with you." It would be better than curling up on his couch, he supposed. And after what he'd done, he owed it to Des if that was what he wanted.

"I told you yesterday," Des said as he brushed Gabriel's bangs from his face. "I'd been through worse. It hurt a bit, sure, but I'm fine aren't I?" The purple haired boy just placed a kiss on Gabriel's head, nuzzling his hair. "It's alright Gabriel. I'm not mad at you for it.. I promise. I'm sorry if I made you something you regret doing." He smiled as Gabriel curled up against him. "Come on Angel.. You can curl up on the couch if you want when we get home.. It's just a change of scenery for now alright?" Des slipped an arm under Gabriel's legs and gently lifted him up. "You've got the place to yourself Clary. Give me a call if you need anything." Des called as he walked to the door.

Gabriel nodded weakly, and then he pressed himself against Des, sliding his arms around his boyfriend's shoulders. "That sounds really really really great." He murmured, tucking his face in against his boyfriend. Clary would be alright on her own, wouldn't she? "I don't regret it," he added. How could he?
"I'll call, I promise!" Clary agreed. "I'll be fine, though, I think, I'm amnesiac, not helpless," she said, as she stepped out of the back room and walked over to the two boys. "Thanks a lot, Des, I had no idea what to do with him..."

Des just continued to smile softly, nuzzling what he could of Gabriel's hair to let the smaller man know that everything was okay. "I'll probably bring him back in a few hours. This way you both can have some alone time and stretch your legs with out having to worry about each other." Des placed a kiss on Gabriel's shoulder. "Do you have his phone still or do you want me to tell you it?"

"More than a few hours," Gabriel said softly. Curling up in his boyfriend's arms and grieving sounded much better than laying on his couch and doing it.
Clary waved Gabriel's phone at Des. "I don't have one, uhm, so this will do." Didn't really need one either; who would she call? Gabriel and Alois and not very many more people.
