Deep under the Seireitei, is an entire new world. This world which is cascaded from any light. This world is built by a rocky terrain. This rocky terrain is so jagged and morbid looking, that some dare to call it, "The Devil's Backbone". This terrain or "Backbone" is correctly known as "The Rift Zone." This so called zone lies everywhere. The zone itself is the term used for every piece of terrain that surrounds Aokigahara. Once you enter the Below Ground you have entered "The Rift Zone".
However, this may be so. A good portion of "The Rift Zone" lies within The Training Area. This is a specially marked area that is dedicated to train Squadron Two Members as well as anyone who wishes to train in private. The land within the Training Area is in fact the most desolate throughout "The Rift Zone." Even though it is the most flat, it is still referred to as "hilly". The land itself is dry and desolate. There are many "Rifts" which are giant cracks in the surface of the land. Each crack has its own distinct feature and varies how deep they go. However, no go deeper than the Abyss, which lies in front of the Aokigahara Base. There is no plant that can survive in this soil. Other than cactus of course.
