Harrison slopped his clothes onto the floor of the 2nd floor shower. Might as well wash them out too.

They'd all had to drag out of bed for this, and while Harrison liked an early start to the day, this was on the wrong side of early. He felt a shade better after the heal, but definitely not 100%, and they had a long haul ahead of them.

They needed to buddy up to traverse the beach. It wasn't safe to walk alone, not half because of the monsters and that cult group.

He turned on the water, and scrubbed all over- head, neck, feet.

B0nez was still nervous, but hell if he could tell what over.

The coat would be unusable until it could be washed. Jordan followed Harrison's example and tossed it onto the floor under one of the showerheads. Might as well get it rinsed first, along with the rest of the clothes. He wasn't terribly fond of the public showers, but the slime was far less likely to clog the industrial drains in here than the drain in the room.

He picked a spot and turned the water on as hot as he could stand it. Normally he'd have appreciated the view, but right now he was too tired and out of sorts to think about anything other than getting clean. He slipped Ferros's ring off long enough to rinse it and get some soap into the crevices around the gem, promising the weapon a proper polishing later. The dragon huffed a silent grateful sound.

They were going to get gross all over again shortly, but at least he could get it out of his hair and off his face. Weirdly, the promise of some hard and mindless work made Jordan feel a little better. This was going to take all day. "Got to check the schedule and see who I can trade with," he said aloud, reminding himself.

Rep sloped into the showers only after he had made one hundred and ten percent sure that the room housing his stuff was locked and double locked. It wasn't that he didn't trust basement kingdom but he didn't trust basement kingdom. He had been fortunate enough not to be wearing his hunter coat on his search for junk, instead dressed in standard issue casualwear which was now probably good only for burning.

He tossed them aside and joined the guys. "Normally whenever I worked in the hoard I'd wear one of those ******** like, abbatoir aprons. Keeps most of the s**t off me, if it was super bloody I even have like shoes to wear." He slunk under the warm cascade of water like a satisfied tiger, in no major hurry to actually scrub the gunk off his skin and hair.

"I'm just really ******** happy to have it back. I appreciate the help." Though he couldn't really rest until he had it all stowed behind multiple doors with a few ******** booby traps thrown in for good measure.

"Rep, B0nez wanted to talk to you sometime today," Harrison said, bracing one hand against the shower wall and getting as close to the shower head as humanly possible.

"Won't tell me what about. He's been on the cagey side since we finished. And yeah. Glad you all came when you did, don't know how much longer I could have lasted, all considered."

He stared at the tile.

"After this...I don't know. I need to go out. Get off the island. On vacation, some small mission somewhere to report how many prints bigfoot left in yosemite, treasure hunting, something."

"I'll always come to help," Jordan said, and tipped his head back under the water, running his hands through his hair. His head was starting to itch. Dry skin, maybe, or some side effect of the gunk. Either way, it'd pass. "Glad you found it." More for Rep's peace of mind than for the hoard itself; he hadn't understood the role it played until it had been removed. Rep was like a dragon that way, it seemed. While he valued the individual items in the pile, it mattered less what the items were than whether the whole thing was there.

Ferros stirred moodily in the back of his mind, half pleased by the analogy, half distressed over something that stayed just under the surface of his mind, not quite accessible to Jordan's conscious thoughts.

He looked over to Harrison and nodded. "We need out of here. I mean. You mind if I come with?"

Rep looked grim at the thought of an off-island trip. "I don't even ******** know if I'd be allowed to come with you guys. I'm still under discipline technically I think." He ran his hands through his hair and exhaled heavily. "But if you guys wanted to go on leave or whatever alone then that's fine with me aswell."

Tracey was back to his complete irritation and silence. He left him be, content for the time being to just focus on what he was going to do with the hoard once he got it moved and cleaned up.

"Sure. Hell, we've got a..." he hesitated grudgingly, "alright amount saved up, if leave was allowed for anybody. But if we're not I'm taking a ******** mission. Maybe they got one in the Bahamas. ...You're not allowed off-island?" Harrison asked, surprised.

He moved on to his clothes, squeezing shampoo on them and rubbing out the worst of the slime.

Once he smelled like something that wasn't bug s**t and every inch was rubbed down as much as he was capable of, he took the wet clothes, looped a towel around his waist, and went to the room to change.

Bahamas, Sub-Africa, wherever. So long as it was out.

He contented himself with fantasies of relaxing in a tourist cabin with a jacuzzi up near the Rocky Mountains, or going on mission to a system of caves and finding piles of un-cursed gold.

He stopped by the room to get some clean clothes, and recoop.

B0nez said he'd......talk later.......

By the time he was at the cafeteria, Harrison was feeling leaps better. He piled a tray full of whatever he could find that was still hot, and barreled it down (and then a second tray, and finally just ignored the lingering unsatisfied feeling, B0nez told him it was Alllllll goood, definitely full up for sure, you should just...move on with basement tetris....), stopped by the quartermaster, then on to the basement. He set down his load of fresh boxes, then rubbed his hands.

"Right. Get together whatever s**t you want going over first. I'm going to head on."

Jordan breathed a small sigh of relief that was lost in the water and the steam. It was still okay. "Even the Arctic would be a break," he opined, and went back to scrubbing down.

Once he'd gotten clean, he stopped by the room to hang the wet clothes in the shower stall to drip dry and get a change of clothes for himself. It wouldn't take long.

He was hungrier than he'd expected himself to be, although he'd gotten used to eating a lot more than he had before the island. He couldn't quite get rid of the feeling that he should have just a little more, but logic dictated that that wasn't true. He'd already eaten plenty. Maybe he'd just eaten too quickly. Sometimes the feeling of being full took a while to kick in.

The quartermaster gave them a look when they asked for a bunch of boxes, but handed over a good stack. Once they got the boxes down to the basement, Jordan set to work getting the boxes into actual box shape. "I'll give you a hand with the first load," he said to Harrison. Harrison seemed to know where the new location was going to be, so that would work out all right.

A decent shower was helpful, Rep wasn't someone who was particularly fussed by how scruffy or dirty he was, but the bug gunk was starting to become an irritation when he slid on it. Being cleaned up a bit was practical and helpful.

At the cafeteria he was positively perky, whatever remnants he'd had of irritation and anger fading away, replaced only with the feeling of satisfaction and warmed, relaxed muscles. He sat down and ate veritable mountain of food which didn't seem to hit the spot at all. He didn't question it though, assuming it was the combination of sleep deprivation and physical exertion during the fight to blame.

By the time he arrived at the basement, Rep was a bristling ball of optimism and determination. New boxes for him were about as exciting as new toys at Christmas. "Melvin'll be here soon too to help." He wandered over to the space he'd cleared earlier and started to sort things out and pointed out the pile of things he'd deemed completely clean and the pile of things he'd deemed "maybe a loss", there wasn't a huge difference between either pile. Then he started gathering up various mugs and wrapping them up in pelts, put them in one of the boxes Jordan had brought. "Don't want them broken."

Rin sighed irritably as hurricane Melvin swept out of the room without giving her the chance to even start getting dressed for it. Did he just assume she wouldn't help her friends? Really? Jerk She smirked calmly before taking her sweet a** time getting dressed and slooowly showing behind him. Arms crossed.

"Good," he said at the news of Melvin helping out, "And appreciate it, Jordan. I don't want anybody making trips by themselves. You okay with him carrying stuff, or is he just on sorting duty?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 31, 2013 1:18 pm

"I dunno if he'd just rather not know where it's going." Rep said with a shrug of his shoulders. "I don't care one way or the other, I just felt like maybe it would be peace of mind just sorting s**t and then seeing it sent away and never having to deal with it ever again."

"I meant Melvin. I woulda ******** asked Jordan. Like, Jordan, do you want to know where the s**t is at?" Harrison's tone was good-natured regardless. He tapped a case of non-rotting objects. "You want this going over?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 31, 2013 5:57 pm

"Oh aye, Melvin can know where it's going, once it's in it will be booby trapped to ******** to keep people out, and I don't think he'll hurt anything anyway. Specially once he knows its going away from here and where he lives." He shrugged. "Just let him know, its not a big deal."

The corner of Jordan's mouth quirked up in amusement. "If I didn't know it would've driven me up a wall wondering," he pointed out, and folded another box into shape. "So helping move s**t gets that out of the way too."
