Appearance: Zephyr is every inch the jolly sailor bold. From his square jaw with thick straight brows, to his broad chest and shoulders, this 6 foot 4 inch male takes great care of his appearance and exudes confidence. Years spent soaking in the salt of the ocean and the hot sun has darkened his skin to a deep honeyed hue, complimenting his straight black hair. He is well dressed for a man lacking any noble title. His business is a profitable one and he aims to prove that everywhere he goes.
Zephyr's dark grey eyes betray his emotions more so than any other part of his expression. Where the rest of his face can be an emotionless mask when he tries, his eyes will always show whether he is about to laugh or rage.
Personality:
Cocky and self assured, indulgent parents raised this young man as a seafaring prince and boy, does he live up the role. The world belongs to him and no one could possibly be better than he. Zephyr loves to prove himself. What's the use of boastful words if you have nothing to back them with? If he sets his sights on something he'll give every ounce of himself to achieve it. Zephyr is anything but a quitter. His desires may change on a whim but once he's chosen to do something, he'll finish the job.
Zephyr's competitive by nature, he loves a challenge because it gives him an opportunity to prove how amazing he is. Anything from wrestling, to dice, to even the most thorough job completion will draw his interest if it's suggested that someone might be better. He's not afraid of hard work and underneath his carefree take on life, there is a responsible young man beginning to develop. His constant pushing of his own limits will eventually be turned to others, using the same tactics his mother taught him of alternating goading, encouragement and shaming to get the best results out of those around him.
Failure and Zephyr get along like a flit and a tunnelsnake. He doesn't easily forgive failures in others and can it can be downright dangerous if he accepts it in himself. Zephyr will almost always blame others for his own shortcomings. He's too good to have actually lost that card game. His opponent must have rigged the deck. There's no way they could have beaten him any other way. Technically he's still better because he didn't stoop to cheating. Zephyr's prone to overreacting and melodrama, blowing things out of proportion and holding long lasting grudges.
Speaking of cheating, it's actually something Zephyr wouldn't do and doesn't tolerate. You can't be a real winner if you cheat. He believes in attaining the top through sheer skill and of course being an awesome badass.
He fancies himself a lady killer, though his interest in women ends between the sheets. (Or storeroom if that's what you prefer) He feels he's got too much life to live before he settles down with an old maid and he certainly has no interest in children.
