They both still had smoke in their lungs; Sisyphus's throat tender to the touch and starting to bruise in a surprising, looked-worse-than-it-was way, and his chest still ached from the twitch of Xenotime's fingers around his starseed. A breather wasn't a bad idea, but fire trucks in the distance, sirens and sound, the bustle of shouting people, meant that here probably wasn't the best place. "...we can't...we can't just sit here..." It was hesitant, nervous. His voice was a bit scratchy as Sisyphus sank to a crouch in front of Sidouer. He was afraid to sit, right now; sitting would mean being too still, and getting up again would be too difficult. "I know a place. You want to run on rooftops, or take the subway in civvies?" He licked his lips, watching her nervously. Home didn't seem wise, right now. Not until their heads were clear. shanyume couple posts and we can go to asclepius's!

The sound of a senshi's voice next to her tugged at her awareness as Sidouer's eyes remained fixated on the glowing red flames that danced in front of them. Both chibi's had left while everyone else seemed to scatter to the four winds. Where is Persephone? Why wasn't she with the little one?With a confused-dazed expression, her eyes focused on the blond haired senshi that crouched down in front of her. It took a second to finally register what he was suggesting but once his words finally sank in Sidouer nodded her head in agreement and attempted to stand up. "It.. doesn't matter to me,"She replied, weariness evident in her voice. Once she was vertical she reached out with her right hand to help him up as well, "whichever is safest."

"I think we're probably safer, um, in the subway." He looked up, and then down the alley, searching to make sure no one was watching them -- and then the white-on-white of his uniform was replaced with slacks and a collared shirt, with just the tops of those bruises poking out over it. Jude kept her hand in his, pausing to let her do the same. "We can power up just around the corner, and...and decrease our chances of...of running into any more trouble."

Jude The guy from the tea shop; Caitlyn had introduced them the night of the Eclipse. As much as she wanted to smile at the sight of a familiar face to allow herself to feel a sense of relief and comfort that things just might-might be okay, she couldn't... The gravity of the situation instead crushed whatever happiness she may have felt with urgency to leave. Nodding her head, she followed suit powering down to her civilian clothes - faded blue jeans, grey-green sweater and a scarf. No coat, unfortunately for some reason she didn't think she would need one before powering up - what a foolish thought. Still holding onto his hand almost as if it were a life line, scared that if she were to let go he would disappear like everyone else. "Everyone's gone" Her voice was barely above a whisper. A part of her wanted to go seek out the two chibi's to make sure they made it home, but she had to have faith they would be safe and instead concentrate on the here and now. Giving his hand a light squeeze, pleading green-pink eyes sought out his brown eyes almost begging him not to leave her too.

"It's better that way, I think." He was quiet too, though, blinking -- and either he was more immune to the violence of it than she was, or he was better hiding it. Perhaps a mix of both. The part of town he'd grown up in wasn't exactly quiet, or cozy, or nice, and screaming matches carried up and down the streets, through open windows... He shook his head, holding onto her hand and pulling her along. At least Jude knew a thing or two about the subway system, coming from a family that didn't even own a working car -- only a beat up bucket of bolts that remained in the driveway because no one could be bothered to deal with it. He didn't have to check the map to get them on the right train, where they could sit and Mei could catch her breath for a bit, putting the mess behind them. shanyume I'll get us to Kumo in the next post??

The walk to the train almost felt like it hadn't even happened as she sat staring unblinking out the window. Though objects passed by, she did not see them and had Jude of said something to her since leading her to the train, she likely hadn't heard it. Sitting in silence the scenes from earlier this evening and the events that had lead up to it replayed vividly in her mind. Questions upon questions lay unanswered before her and yet the list continued to grow. How did they find us so quickly, could someone have been followed? No, if that were the case they would have sensed the chaos aura… right? Even so, where did they all come from? Images of the chibi body stabbed through by the General’s spear flashed in her mind’s eye bringing with it sorrow and worry. Persephone… where did you go?Once again her body was jostled by the train slowing to a halt at another stop. Finally breaking the silence she spoke quietly, with a voice saturated with disbelief and shock. ”This isn’t how tonight was supposed to happen.””None of it,” she added, still staring outside. and be blue -hands you the ban hammer- you may now throttle me for taking so long D:
