Acrucis had wondered around the her neighborhood streets for a good half hour before taking a rest atop one of the many two story houses. It had been slow going but over the past two weeks she had been trying to push herself into go back out on patrol despite the nightmares that plagued her dreams every time she fell asleep.

Summoning her senshi phone, Acrucis scrolled through her powered contact list which consisted of a whopping three whole people; Phact and Chaldene. Unless you include the cat - Sheena, though she wasn't entirely sure how that one worked.

A smile spread across her face as she remembered the promise Chaldene had made back when they first met with the Shade Queen was killed, a promise to some day show her his will-o-wisps. Not wanting to spend the evening alone if it could be helped she tapped his name on the illuminated screen and began texting him.

Hi-
I don't know if you remember me, we met at the lake about a month ago after the Shade Queen was slain. I was wondering if you are busy?

It was, for her at least, a good thing that the senshi in question was powered up and wandering the city along and unoccupied by youma or officers of chaos. Actually he had been tinkering with his senshi phone, while sitting upon a small bookstores roof, in an attempt to figure the device out. It wasn't like a normal cell phone, close but not quiet there. So when the text came in he was a bit startled, who would be sending him anything, but he went to open it none the less.

The name of who sent it was first gone over before he decided to read the message; he did remember this senshi. He remember her very well, he should thank her properly, after all she had handled the injured he'd suffered - however minor they'd been. She'd also, unknown to her, saved him from making an excuse to his mother if she were to have seen his bruised shoulder. He really did owe her a thank you for the help. Quickly black lacquered nails typed out a return message before hitting the send button.

Of course I remember you, how could I forget? It would be impossible to do so. I'm not busy...I assume you'd like to meet - where?

- Chaldene.

he didn't use his real name, maybe he'd power down later for her and introduce himself personally - properly.

Surprised by the quick response, Acrucis smiled and replied to the text.

Anywhere except the large park where the battle took place would be great. If you'd like I can come to you, I'm familiar with most places around Destiny City. Unless you know of another safe place we can meet up.
-Acrucis

If there's one thing she'd been diligent about so far, was heeding Shangri-la's warning about avoiding that large park because too many unsavory characters wondered those parts.

As the text came back, rather quickly, he opened the message and smiled. So somewhere that wasn't he park....but where? Looking around himself, and down onto the street, he sighed before sending a text back.

I'm at the Charing Cross Bookshop. Do you know it?

It was one of those old fashioned, small, book shops that had wooden floors which creaked, a bell above the door, and all the wooden bookshelves, counter tops, and chairs were old and well worn. The couch, which was of a well worn fabric, was pushed into a back corner of the store and was accompanied by a few of the well worn wooden chairs and a few little tables and a larger coffee table. They were located by the bathrooms and were used for meetings of a local book club or those who wished to read a bit before purchasing a book, why not read a bit to see if you liked something before buying it? It made sense. The place was nice, small, and well liked by Ian who shopped here a fair bit. It also helped that the place was near to his home.

I do - though it's been a while since I've been there. Do they still paint their windows for the holidays?

Standing up from her perch she held her phone in one hand and began roof hopping towards the book store.

Once she arrived in the general vicinity she stopped on top of the local grocery store and scanned the area for not only Chaldene's aura but that of anyone else who may be lingering nearby.

Laughing at the reply he sent a text back confirming that they did indeed, though he didn't pay attention it really. He was more interested in the books inside than the window design. The place was old fashioned in the windows as well. The whole place was old fashioned and looked old, like something out of an old Christmas classic movie or something equally classic in appearance, and old.

From where he sat on the roof top he felt nothing in the area, nothing yet, as he waited for the senshi to arrive. He wondered if he would be showing her his magic tonight. He'd have to cast it on her for her to see it...would she mind? It wouldn't hurt her so she should be alright with it - right?

Satisfied no other powered individual was around Acrucis proceeded down the street for a good five blocks then hung a left, once within range she used his aura as a beacon to guide her to his exact location.

With one final jump, white heeled boots touched down softly with a quiet click on the bookshop roof. Running her fingers through her slightly tangled tresses, slightly out of breth, Acrucis smiled at the boy with the familiar face "Hi! I'm sorry I kept you waiting. How have you been?" No more huge battles I hope

As he finally sensed her approach, at least he thought it was her, he stood up from his place and watched her as she visually came into sight. She looked well, that was good, and as she landed on his roof top he tilted his head.

"Evening...umm...I've been good. Thank you..for the healing that night - it was amazing." He spoke wanting to get thanking her out of the way. He was a bit nervous, did she want him to cast his magic like...right now? Or would she ask? Were they going to talk and work into/toward that?

"You still want to see my wisp?" He asked after a moment.

"I'm glad I was able to help! Though I admit I wish I could have done more. Sometimes, when things like that night happen and a lot of people are hurt, it would be nice if there wasn't a limit on the number of times we could use our abilities." maybe then she would have been able to have done a better job at mending Thraen a few weeks ago before leaving so abruptly.

Acrucis' eyes lit up like a little kid's when receiving a present when he offered to show her his little whips. Though to be honest with herself other than checking up and making sure he was still okay, it was one of the other main reasons she had messaged him "Yes please! I'd love to!" she replied with quite a bit of enthusiasm.

Shaking his head, waving his hands a little even, he spoke quickly. "No, no - you did fine! You helped a lot." he sought to assure her of how well she'd done, that she'd done enough, but then was nodding his head. "I agree...I wish I could use my...power more. It's a helpful one.." Trailing off as he thought of his little bit of magic; he really was happy it didn't hurt people.

"I'll have to cast it on you....it's not painful." He said while looking at her for a moment, carefully, before he readied himself. His fingers formed a gun like configuration before he cast his magic, aiming for the other. "Chaldene Whisp Lure." As he blew over the 'muzzle' of the 'gun' he sent little wisps of blue magic toward her and then stood back to wait.

"It's okay, don't worry! I trust you. Acrucis watched as Chaldene went through the motions of his attack and was quite surprised when little wisps of light headed towards her. Like a little kid trying to catch a firefly, she attempted to catch one of the balls of light when it got within range.

Bringing her cupped hands up she parted her thumbs to look inside and was slightly disappointed when she saw nothing. Tilting her head in curiositiy she began to wonder Where did it.... Before she could finish the thought a pale blue light fading in and out shone in her peripherals, however when she turned her heat to look at it, the little wisp completely faded - reappearing once again in a different location.

Cerulian blue eyes, full of childish wonder, scanned the rooftop trying to catch a good glimpse of the little wisp Can you... Can you see them too? she inquired fully loving the wonders of his ability

"I can...they don't seem to do to me what they do to others." They didn't grab his attention and distract him, which was a good thing, he did get to enjoy the little light show. It would not be good if they distracted him anyway, in the case of a large scale fight, and for that he was very glad.

Right now this fact allowed him to watch the other senshi enjoy the little light show, and oh how she seemed to enjoy the show. "Do you like it? Was it what you thought it would be...or umm hoped it would be?" He asked while hesitant and hopeful at the same time. She did show such wonder when he'd cast his magic on her. His own green eyes watched her carefully as he waited for her response, knowing his attack would soon fade and the wisp with it, it wouldn't be much longer.

She would have turned to look at him but alas the little blue lights did their due diligence in holding her visual attention. Instead Acrucis did something she hadn't been able to do in a few weeks... laugh, truly laugh.

Not only the action but the sound itself felt foreign to her. Having spent so many sleepless nights plagued by nightmares and the time awake spent in guilt and fear she wasn't sure she'd be capable of the joyous sound anytime in the near future. But alas here she was enjoying the sight of the little blue wisps on the roof top of an old bookstore in the company of an ally, a friend. "I do, I really do."

One last time the blinking light faded, relinquishing it's hold on her, allowing her to turn her attention back to Chaldene. "Though I wonder if there is any warmth behind the light." With a laugh she added "If it were possible I'd try to catch it just to find out!"

"I don't think so...I don't know though. I don't suspect they can be caught but I'm sure they can be attacked or something." He said when she had finished speaking. Watching her had brought joy to him as well, it was just that infectious, as she was clearly enjoying the little bit of magic he had. It was nice to be able to do something other than fight with it especially when it brought joy to someone, her laughter infectious and having caused him to laugh as well. This was...nice. There was no other word he thought fit this other than that simple word - nice. It just worked so perfectly. It wasn't over the top nor was it lacking in any way.

"I think I could try and cast it again...if you wanted. Umm...if not we can wander the city together - best to keep in pairs right?" He asked somewhat sheepishly as he hoped she wouldn't mind staying with him tonight; it was just nice to have company. Plus he didn't care to call it a night and it was safer having someone else with him, though he was sure it wouldn't deter higher ranked officers of chaos, it would at least keep lower ranks away or so he hoped. And if not, or if some high ranked officer came upon them, he could distract them and she could heal him while help/backup was n the way. he hoped nothing like that happened though; he really didn't like fighting. He'd rather tonight remain a nice peaceful night between the two of them.

Once her laughter finally subsided, Acrucis smiled at his offer to patrol with her this evening. Eager to accept his request she nodded her head enthusiastically. "We can save your attack for another time, an excuse to meet again. But for now I'd like to take you up on your offer to wonder about for a while." To walk in the company of another if only for one night, was something her heart desperately longed for. A familiar face completely unrelated to current happenings - a breath of much needed fresh air.

Pairs - yes pairs are a good idea. Which is why she was normally pretty good about patrolling with her raven haired friend. Or why so many people have told her not go to out alone - Shangri-La, Maia, Phact, Ganymede... there were others she was sure but couldn't think of their names off the top of her head "Do you have a place in mind?" She inquired, if only to have an idea where this wondering may take them.
