Just outside and below Soragakure is one of the many farming villages. This one is the furthest out, and the first to have been taken by rogues. They've settled there for the time being and are accepting any ninja from Sora who are abandoning their village.

xxxxx Xanatos was now standing on a hill that overlooked the captured settlement, it looked dead silent as the sun rose overhead to symbolize midday. Doors opened and many rogues filled the settlement with hustle and bustle, like a city. All of them were having a great time, full of merry joy, mirth, and laughter. Xanatos hadn't said a word as they made their way to the settlement, Nariomi could probably read it all over Xana's face. He was worried for Soragakure and it's future, he was worried about Saiyuri-senpai. But even with worry, his quiet rage hadn't left, it only grew and festered, he wanted Kaiser. His head and all. On the first chance to go claim his bounty, Xanatos would jump for it faster than anyone in Soragakure and then he'd proceed to torture him. Then, when Kaiser's entire world has been crumbled and turned to ash before him, he'd have Xanatos' permission to die. As you can see, Xanatos had an ugly side to him and the rogues were about to receive a taste of it. He awaited for Nariomi to join up with him, so that they could take the settlement back together.
Xanatos had to get his head in the game, he was too busy sulking and moping over the village, but no one died, Saiyuri was fine and the village would rise again soon. The Mayu would keep his eyes on the price and his head in the game, the more missions and work that he did for Sora, the more it would help Saiyuri and the village. So, in short, these rogues were going down!
Xana tied his headband even tighter to make this thought absolute.

Not an excessive amount but a death sentence if approached head on. He stood next to his friend with pride as he began," I count just over one hundred rouges in total. I know your worried for the kage, and for the village. Its painted all over your face. But now is not the time for worry. For now we must act. We must show the world the power of the village. We must send them a message so powerful that they will know fear at the very sound of our approach. This is no longer a simply routing mission, its an annihilation." He had to show his leadership and while he did not know why he had to he still felt the need to do so. The village needed leaders, Saiyuri wouldnt be able to do everything on her own and when the time came he would be there for her. To lead her forces in battle. He turned to face the village as he began to circulate his chakra a bit getting himself ready for what was possibly the largest fight he would ever have," Can you funnel them? Keep them in the center road. From there I will face them. Once we take away their mobility we will have them." Combat tactics was his specialty and he would put it to use.

Nariomi would notice that Xanatos was speaking to him using his mind, connecting thoughts as a mental link while also noticing another presence following them, "I'll keep a mental connection link open with you and our...guest." He glances back to the third member of their team whom decided to follow. "My plan would be to sabotage the rogue settlement and drive them into an all out battle royale, during the commotion, we can rescue the prisoners."

Was a persons mind no longer sacred? Either way he shook his head choosing to speak with his mouth then with his mind," Normally that would be a good plan. However in this case it wouldnt be a good idea. This isnt something that your average group of rouges could accomplish on a whim. There is someone leading them, unifying them. Normally its every rouge for himself but in this case there has to be a man of power uniting them otherwise they wouldnt work together with this level of effectiveness. In taking captives they have an objective and since they have already shown aggression towards our shinobi without provocation they have no reason not to do so again. If we try to walk in there and turn them against each other there likely to attack us before they can even hear what we have to say. However your plan does give me an idea. Of the three of us I'm the most proficient with hand to hand combat and being a medic if I get injured its a simple matter to heal myself. I can try and draw them out and take away the advantage of their terrain while giving you a chance to slip in and rescue the hostages. Use the left hand to keep them blind to the right."

She should have known it because she was a Mayu herself. They were of a Bloodline and so it didn't come as a surprise when she saw him look back in the direction of the house that she was making a failed attempt at hiding behind. Eirlys remained where she was however and connected to them both, thinking that the element of surprise on her part could work to their advantage. If only the Hyuuga would trust his words to his thoughts instead of voicing them for all to hear. "It is...nice to finally meet you Xanatos... Narimoi. We can discuss formalities later once we've handled this lot, but in this instance I have to agree with Narimoi. This does not seem like a simple group of pickpockets and petty thieves. They seem more organized somehow." She took a moment to think for herself and decided that she would work with what the Hyuuga suggested only because she had not been there before when the village had needed all the manpower it could muster. "Xanatos..." her voice rang out softly yet again, "It would be best if you and I both cleared a path for him from behind and place our main focus towards freeing the hostages. There is a high probability that it will guarantee success." Eirlys receded from their minds for a spell to think on her own yet again, but only for a while before she reformed the link so they could all know when to commence.

xxxxx "Alright then, understood. So you'll draw them out and we'll rescue everyone and join up to help out," he looks to Eirlys and Nariomi, "alright, we're all clear on what to do. Let's move!" From there, Xanatos would follow Eirlys and try his best to remain covert and stick to the plan, he only hoped that they would all get out of this safely, as these were rogues and not simple commoners and thieves. They could all die.

Gods willing we will meet again." He watched his teamates sneak off knowing full well that he could very well be walking into his own death. While he did accept the small pangs of fear he felt he did not let them control him or snuff his courage any. He had always thought he would die in a glorious battle however this battle would be far from glorious. As he watched them go he smiled a bit he would have to ask Eirlys out if he lived through this. Nari took a few steps forwards slowly one after the other as his byakugan began to place each of the rouges in the city one by one. The ones up on upper levels of the houses had bows a simple matter he was more than prepared to deal with. As he charged he was happy to see three of the rouges would come to meet his charge. The first one was no matter to handle Nari quickly spun slamming his heel into the mans throat killing him instantly the other two moved to flank him. It was clear they did not know of the byakugans power, something he would educate them on. As each one moved in from the side Nari turned a bit arms out deflecting their punches forward at an angle causing them to stumble the first one wouldnt get another attack. Before he could get another attack off Nari had already wrapped his arm around his neck in a rear naked choke and locked it in. The twang of several bows forced Nari to divert his attention to the city as several arrows bared down upon him. Using the man he was currently choking out to shield himself from them he would escape the volley with little more than a small gash upon his forearm. The other attacker however was not as lucky being pierced by his fellows he now lie died upon the ground. So far so good. He just hoped his teamates would be able to sneak in undetected after all he didnt know how long he could hold them off he was only a genin after all.
Eirlys Kurama Mayu|| Djinni || Genin || ╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗ If Nari had been trying to keep his thoughts to himself while having a link formed with Eirlys, then he had failed miserably. She couldn't help but catch the slight comment about having to ask her out if he lived through what was to come next. Her facial expression didn't really change much at all, but she severed the link between herself and Nari as if a raging conflagration had started in his mind, and instead focused her thoughts on Xanatos, seeing as he was the one that she was to work with for the moment to accomplish a common goal. "Right!" Eirlys dashed from behind the building just as Nari began to engage the first wave of rogues all by his lonesome. Crossing to where Xanatos stood, she grabbed his hand and dragged him unceremoniously to the other side, a short ways away from where Nari was buried deep in combat. "I don't think we have much time. This is usually the part where the bad guys realize that they'd rather kill everyone than die alone." Looking around the corner, concerned, she started forming several handsigns in rapid succession, casting a series of Genjutsu that would serve to aid Nari a little. For instance, some of his foes would stop suddenly in their tracks to rub at their eyes and curse about one thing or another [Annoying Dust ], some would start scratching uncontrollably [Poison Ivy], and others would stop to look up at the sky the closer they got to Nari, having heard the sharp crack of thunder rent the sky [Thunder Trap]. These were a series of Genjutsu that Eirlys had cast at once to said the Hyuuga in his endeavor. Using the rogues' slight moment of disquiet to his advantage, he could make a little more progress, but that was the best she could do for now, and the amount she had managed to afflict with the Genjutsu wasn't that great either.
Looking towards Xanatos, she pointed to a building in the distance, knowing that he had already felt what she was now feeling. While she was aiding Nari she had sent her mind out in an effort to locate the hostages and where they were being held, and she had managed to graze along some minds filled with panic and fear, and she had taken that as a sign that that was where they were needed. It was much easier to communicate with a Mayu, because then she didn't have to focus on altering her thoughts into words whereas the Mayu could simply see what she was seeing through the link. It was why she had suggested working with Xanatos in the first place, because it would be much easier for them to coordinate a strategy on the fly. But there was a problem. The building they wanted to get to was being flooded on all sides by rogues, even though most had already raced forward in their assault on Nari. "What do you think is the best way for us to break through?" she asked Xanatos, all the while she aided Nari by shifting the trajectory of the arrows being shot from the roofs and altering their course so instead of hitting Nari, they would hit one of the rogues each time and cause confusion in their ranks, no matter how slight.

xxxxx Xanatos would follow Eirlys yet watched her work her magic and even the odds a bit for Nariomi, it was a good idea. He was then led to the building that contained the hostages, he leaned against the wall and glanced through a window to see the numbers, there were only five guys left on the first floor and multiple hostages that dared not to make a movement lest be killed by the rogues on the second. Xanatos pulled his head back down before they noticed and thought to himself, "well, there's through the window, in the front door, to to the roof, and underground. I say the roof, they're on the second floor and the rogues are on the first, we'll need to be very quiet but I believe we can get them out without confrontation of any kind." Xanatos pulled out a kunai, just in case.

Without wasting a moment as he rushed the genjutsu ensnared group he stopped for only a split second. His chakra flared as he dropped into the gentle fist style. He took a deep breath as his assault began. The first rouge took two blows then four, two of which slammed into his jugular knocking him out, which he would probably thank nari if he could, the next one would probably not thank him. He delivered a barrage of eight strikes onto the man all striking vital points, juglular, the carotid artery, the coronary artery just next to his heart as he struck his heart again. This barrage continued as he ripped into the genjutsu effected rouges leading up to one final barrage totaling 64 strikes. As he dispatched the last group of rouges he took a quick second to check where his teammates were. While his mission was to beat some rouge a** he still had to keep them off of his team at the same time. He finally found them by the building with the hostages in it, and just as to be expected there was a rush of rouges to the building. In that moment two things popped into his head. One, this would be the perfect chance to show Eirlys what he could do, second he could test out the eight gates at the same time. However first he had to get there. He took off in a dash towards the building as a not a few but a single one moved to stop him. Blood and adrenaline racing he raced down the narrow corridor with a smile. He jumped up against the sidewall of one of the buildings as he pushed off of it. As he did he extended his left leg to try and catch the man in the head. This rouge however was not like the rest he was good and he was trained. The man ducked down low to avoid the strike causing Nari to sail past and skid to a stop. It was now that he noticed something that was not there to be noticed. The rouges had stopped their assault on him while whoever this was engaged him. It seemed the entire group had stopped to watch this wild west style shootout. Which admittedly was perfectly fine with Nari. This would give him a perfect chance to try out a combo on a living person. As the two stared each other down he took just a second to steady his breathing. Then, battle, the two rushed each other at top speed which nari found interesting that a trained rouge could match a shinobi. Keeping his focus on the rouge Nari waited till the last second to launch a blow, not wanting to declare his attack and give the man a chance to counter it. The two met and traded blows at the same time, Naris palm catching him in his shoulder as it met he discharged a bit of chakra into the tenketsu point in his shoulder shutting it down. Nari however didnt fare much better as he tried to check the mans knee with one of his own he was only a split second to slow as the blow caught him in the stomach. He had to fight through the pain and keep going. The two disengaged quickly nursing the wounds the other had given him, though Nari recovered much quicker. The two resumed their exchange of blows as Nari kept all his attention on the fight praying that they would hurry so he could finish this fight.

Eirlys Kurama Mayu|| Djinni || Genin || ╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Eirlys nodded at Xanatos' suggestion and waited a beat before dashing ahead with him under the cover of shadows and impending nightfall. Being a Mayu, silence was not really a problem. Not being able to speak had inherently made her quieter throughout her lifetime, and it was many a times that she had startled people without really meaning to. It was just in her nature not to make any sounds in warning of her presence. This, what they were doing now, was child's play, and she knew Xanatos felt the same way. Even though they were only inherently related through their Mayu bloodline, she felt close to him, like a brother if nothing else, and as with siblings, when they worked together towards a common goal there was nothing that could get in their way. She had stopped deflecting arrows as they had stopped being fired. It seemed the rogues that had been engaging Nari had formed in a broken circle around him as they watched him deep in combat with one of their own. It must have been their leader, otherwise she didn't see a reason for their behavior. Using the distraction to her advantage, she linked her mind to one of the rogues that surrounded the building that she and Xanatos wanted to enter, disguising her inner voice as best as she could and speaking to the man in a hushed tone. Using what she knew of the mind, she had made the sound come in such a way that it seemed to come from his right ear, and right on cue the man turned to the man next to him and nodded and said a few things, just as she had anticipated, and they both walked towards the throng of people gathered to watch the fight. Eirlys had made it seem as if the man next to him had suggested they get a closer view since they weren't really doing anything anyway, and it had seemingly worked. Two less rogues to deal with. "They have the crappiest intel ever. Weren't they made aware of what we could do before they started stampeding the place." Eirlys chuckled silently to herself before placing a foot along the side of the building, then the other, chakra lacing the soles of her feet as she stood sideways on the building. She waited for Xanatos to do the same before she would make the walk upwards to the second floor. "It'll be much quicker to get in this way, but I doubt we'll be able to use the same route once we get to the hostages."

xxxxx Xanatos just lifted himself up off of the ground and rose himself up to Eirlys who was currently making her way to the second floor, "understandable, make haste, Nariomi won't be able to hold them off for long I'm sure." Xanatos opened the window to the second floor and then went inside first, the hostages glanced at the shadowy figure of Xanatos as he crawled in through the window and they began to panic. The only saving grace both Xanatos and Eirlys had was the fact that the hostages were gagged and tied up. "Shhh shhhh, do not be afraid. We're here to rescue you." he whispered with reassurance within their minds, smiling softly. He then heard someone coming upstairs and moved over to the nearby closet of the second floor, hiding inside. One of the rogues came up to check on the hostages as he had heard noises upstairs, he moved closer to the hostages yet scratched his head in confusion, wondering what he had heard earlier. Xanatos sprung out from the closet with a kunai in hand and with added force, he plunged the kunai into the rogue's spine and released said force in a short burst. It shattered his spine and brought him down to a crumpled mass onto the floor. The shock caused him to gasp out in pain and fall forward, dead, but all of that was as a signal for the second thug that remained. "Dammit!" Xanatos clicked his tongue in annoyance as he heard the footsteps get louder and louder as he came up the stairs to check out what had happened. Xanatos took the nearby dresser in the room and threw it down the stairs with enough force from his bloodline AND clan to give the rogue a serious concussion. He peeked his head out of the window and beckoned for Eirlys to enter and begin bringing hostages down, "C'mon, hurry! I'm pretty sure it'll take more than that to floor someone like him. Nariomi, status report!" He could then hear a few more footsteps get to the front door of the building, from the mere sound of it, two more guys were coming.

The rouge leader was wincing holding his left arm which was limp by his side along with nursing his stomach. Both of which had the majority of tenketsu points crushed. However Nari wasnt fairing much better he had received several gashes from a kunai the man had pulled to make up for his the lack of use in his left arm. One above his left eye left a trail of blood running down his face between his eyes and another on his cheek that did the same. One somewhat deep on on his right arm a few inches above the gash he had received earlier. When Xan had entered his mind it had split Nari's attention away from the man who took advantage of it to rush him. Nari only just barely dodged the kunai as he brought his left fist up hard slamming his fist into the mans stomach knocking the wind out of him. Normally Nari would have gone in for the kill but here he had to drag the fight out. Calling out with his mind," IM A LITTLE BUSY AT THE MOMENT. What do you need?" He took a few steps back to create some distance between the two as his right hand began to glow bright green as the healing hands activated. He wiped it across his forehead slowing the bleeding to a small trickle. It was getting harder and harder to keep the groups attention on him and not what was going on inside.
Eirlys Kurama Mayu|| Djinni || Genin || ╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Upon initial entry of the building Eirlys found that the prisoner's were all bound and gagged, yet the panic and fear in their eyes were unmistakable. She didn't blame them for starting to panic even further when Xanatos and herself entered the building, as she would have probably done the same two in the face of strangers in a dangerous situation. Xanatos' mental encouragement garnered immediate effects as the people all seemed to calm down a bit, but they were still far from free and everyone present in the room knew of that simple fact. The young genin was just about to start loosening the bonds that held the prisoners captive, but was halted in place by the sound of footsteps rushing up a flight of stairs. In the same instant that Xanatos ran for cover she did the same, doing her best to keep her presence in check while standing just beyond the very same window that they had come through. Though it was out in the open and it would be easy for someone to spot her, it was the first thing that came to mind and her body had automatically capitalized on it. She watched all that was happening through her mind's eye, lined as she was with Xanatos. "Great!" she called out to Xanatos, but the celebration was ephemeral as they both noticed that a second rogue was rushing up the stairs. Xanatos took the initiative yet again and hurled a nearby dresser down the the stairs at the man, though it was much noisier than was necessary. It got the job done however.
She didn't wait long after Xanatos motioned her inside, and she started to loosen bonds one after the other. The ones that she couldn't cut through quickly enough with her kunai she commanded to untie themselves using her telekinesis, giving the appearance that a psychic force was at work. Awareness that their pursuers crept closer by the second dawned on her, and she quickly formed a single handseal, followed by a short string that marked the beginning of her Genjutsu. To the two men, it would seem as if a fire had just started raging at the door to the room that they were now in with the prisoners. It crackled and burst so loudly before rushing in a heaping blaze towards the two men, consuming them and burning them to a crisp. The screams from just outside the door would be heard by all those inside now, and then two loud thuds that marked the charred men falling to the ground, dead due to her Genjutsu's effect. By now they had freed the last prisoner and Eirlys was motioning everyone toward the door. She flung it open without touching it and peered outside. "The cost is clear. Let's move!" She reached out ahead of herself with her mind, feeling for another consciousness besides those she was familiar with. There were several on the building's exterior, but for now seemed as if they would be able to make it down the stairs without too much of a hassle. "Nariomi! We may need a hole in the wall... A big one!" Preserving landscape was not in her regime at the moment.
