The Snarfy I have Y. I don't know much about the 3DS and friend codes though gonk I has both. Got them and a 3DS XL for xmas. From what I can tell, after you've connected to the internet once, your 3DS gets assigned a friend code. You get it from the main menu for the 3DS, not while in the game, just normal 3DS functions. Top centre is the friendlist and such. Does that help?
