He had been on quite the pace heading into Okina City; the older woman who had been desperately trying to cross the street before the bikes had started roaring in the distance had been more than enough to curb his speed. Slowing down to let her get across before he passed, he could already see his competition roaring into his rear view mirror once again, getting closer with every passing second. His lips curled pleasantly as the competition got interesting again, his hand slipping from the handle to caress the body of his bike and hopefully spur her back into shape for the stretch fun. He was still winning, but not by nearly the margin he had been. It would be a close race after all! But he wouldn't just give away the win...even to Nix.

"These streets are crowded, but I won't take it easy on you," he teased over his shoulder, though it would be a stretch for them to hear, "After all, if I did, I'd be caught in a second..."

"Hey, don't take the rest of us lightly! If you don't keep your head in the game, you're not going to get respect even if you win. Show those girls just how serious you can be." As Gin closed in on Tsuyoshi, who still held an unfortunately formidable lead, he noticed that the leader seemed like he might be losing focus. They were in the thick of the city now, there wasn't even a second for stray thoughts, so for Tsuyoshi's own safety it was probably better if he kept his eyes on the road and off of Nix! If he wasn't as capable at handling the inner streets as he was on the big roads, then Tsuyoshi would end up screwing the finish, and that was the best Gin could hope for; although the chances that luck would be the deciding factor in this race, happened to be very small. Instead, it would come down to Gin's own focus, the skill of his bike...and Tsuyoshi's own determination.

Coming into the city proper, he could now see just as easily why the people who came here often had more fun than those that lived in the area; the station and the various buildings were fun for out-of-town visitors, yes...but how often could you visit the same strip mall and cinema before you started to long for something else to do? The city's buildings were claustrophobic, not at all like the beautifully laid-out city of Sumaru from which he had come. ...Just thinking of it made him miss home a little, miss Lisa and Maya and...he shoved those thoughts aside roughly, clearing the way for the race to take prominence once more. Racing could easily get his mind off of things, but in the more droll portions it could also allow him time to think.

"Don't think..." he reminded himself as he hit a turn sharply, "...Race."

As she tried to maneuver, she was forced to grip the brake on her bike quickly to avoid crashing into a car that had been driving along the Okina Line.
She skidded to a halt,before starting to drive along again, grumbling. This wasn't even a race anymore, it was just her driving to the finish line, and then likely driving right along. She wasn't winning this race, for sure...She probably wasn't going to even catch up to anyone. But, she had to finish it, at least.

The silver haired girl was getting closer...she could see the back of her just ahead, and she couldn't help the slight competitiveness that grew inside of her. Perhaps...she wasn't doing so bad after all!

With Kiki-Jiki seeming to slow down a bit, to handle the tough turns, he knew that it wouldn't help him to getting to the head of the race. So he was off to the next part of the race.

Tezuka Rembrii, Forgetful Junior, And Tatsumaki Kikai, Tech-savvy Senior
Tezuka revved his engine hard, and accelerated quickly, doing his best to try to break free of the pack at this.
"Come on...Not too much further." he called to himself as he kept driving, thinking about popping a wheelie..but abstaining from it. He wasn't entirely sure how to do it, and he didn't need another head injury..
Just gotta stay focused..
Tats watched the Silverette match the other boy in speed, rocketing forward to keep him from making the gap too wide, as they moved from the highway, to downtown Okina. She had a mission in mind, and though he could no longer see her eyes, he could feel her fiery spirit.
She's getting really into it. Tats thought to himself as he revved his engine, trying to see if he couldn't keep this race tight. They were all huddled up for so long...would this be the time where the winner was decided?
