Short Bio- If you ask her for her background, she will merely answer that she has no recollection of her childhood. Truthfully, she was a runaway who took on the identity of her lost doll. Her real name was "Jacqueline Arlingale", who was an heir to a rich couple. Throughout her childhood, Jacqueline's only friend was her doll, Diana, that her parents had given to her. The girl felt safe around the tiny doll and didn't require anything else. She was happy with her life. Though, it all came crashing down when Jacqueline's parents divorced and her mother married another man. This man said she was too old for dolls and threw Diana in the fireplace where she could no longer be retrieved. Jacqueline couldn't stop crying that night and from that night forward, her stepfather kept calling her a "crybaby", repeatedly insulted her, and told her to grow up. She had no one to turn to. It was an agonizing stage in her life, but one day, when the girl was getting the mail, she found the letter from Kuoh Academy. It was like a miracle. Without hesitation, Jacqueline accepted it and ran away that very night, taking on the name "Diana Sinclair." While on the train to Kuoh, the girl thought about her stepfather. His intentions weren't meant to drive her away, but to make her stronger. Like what he said, "Only the strong survives." Hence where her personality and ideas originated.
