Boss Areas in zOMG!

- A mini-guide to help with both soloers and those who need a crew -

If you're having trouble doing bosses by yourself, try looking at some of the tips in here!
If you desperately need someone to help defeat a boss with you, that's what I'm here for!
And the rest of the people in the guild are here too, but they like DMS more

Solo Bosses

So I'm going to break all your fantasies and tell you:
Every boss instance on zOMG! can be done by yourself
(Except Shallow Seas, which requires at least 3 people for switches)

With that in mind, here's the ratings for how difficult it is to solo each place on the "Easy" difficulty:

General Mayhem (Village Greens)
Recommended CL: 1.0+
I haven't done the general in years, but he's pretty easy to do
Don't try Normal, because it's perma-broken, and Hard is actually kind of .. well ... hard.

Deadman's Pass (Bill's Ranch)
Recommended CL: 3.0+
DMP is painfully easy until the OMGWTF comes out and cats you to death.
As long as you have about 2-3 attacks and bandage, you can manage.
If you have any buff rings, buff yourself with as many of them as you can (r4 for more effectiveness).
When the OMGWTF comes out, keep attacking, but use rage on healing yourself.
Run around on the screen if you're dying, but don't change screens or the whole thing will reset.

Kokeshi Doll Shrine (Zen Gardens)
Recommended CL: 4.0+
This is easier than DMP ... from what I can remember.
Kill the doll mobs, don't sit when the cherry fluffs come, and remember to heal yourself!
Buffs are also nice.

She Wolf (Bass'ken Lake)
Recommended CL: 4.5+
Kill wolf mobs, the run back and forth with She Wolf, healing yourself with raged Bandage and never sitting.
You need buffs if you want to solo. Suggestions: Rock Armor, Divinity, Ghost, Healing Halo
She's pretty hard to solo, but at least one crewed person makes things a whole lot easier c:

Papa Saw (Bass'ken Lake)
Recommended CL: 5.0+
Same as Doll Shrine - kill saw mobs, heal, don't sit when being attacked.
Since there are usually crews for this though, it's easier to just join one of those.
P.S. Remember you have to complete Gustav's quests in order to enter by yourself!

Duneslam (Gold Beach)
Recommended CL: 7.0+
Buff as many things on yourself as you can in the Null Chamber and run over to the boat.
(r4 Divinity, Rock, and one or two other defense buffs you have)
Suggested Ringset: 3-4 Attacks, Bandage, Meat, Fitness, 1-2 Buffs
I like to solo him for fun.

Throne Room a.k.a. Stone Coatl (Otami Ruins)
Recommended CL: 8.0+
Hopefully, you have a lot of buffs by now. Like probably seven or more.
Buff everything you possibly can on yourself in the Null Chamber and dash over to the throne room.
(r4 Divinity, Rock, and 2-3 other defense buffs)
After killing off masks and minions, attack Stone Coatl. Walk away and sit if you need some stamina. Ignore the minions which spawn to attack you. Ideally, if you get a Flying Coatl or Tiny Terror attacking, they do the least damage, so you might want to keep them. (As long as there is one minion out, no others will spawn until it's dead)
Suggested Ringset: 3-4 Attacks, Bandage, Meat, Fitness, 1-2 Buffs

Shallow Seas (Gold Beach)
Recommended CL: 9.0+
I've never actually tried soloing this.
A friend and I used to duo this all the time for fun, and we even got to Sealab once.
(Only to discover we needed one more person to flip the switches ;A; )
But good luck if you want to solo this.

Deadman's Shadow (Bill's Ranch)
Recommended CL: 11.5+
You can only get so far in DMS just by yourself.
You need buffs, and since those run out every 15 min, you only have time for about the entrance and one or two rooms.
Yellow Maze is pretty easy to solo at 11.5 or higher, but GR needs a lot of skill and luck, even at 12.0

Crewing Bosses

Some people crew for farming specific boss instances for gold or loot.
Listed below are the ones you can usually find crews for:

Deadman's Pass (Bill's Ranch)
Recommended CL: 3.0+
Most people outside of the DMP gate are actually crewing for Deadman's Shadow (DMS),
but you can usually find a few people who will help you do DMP once in a while.

Kokeshi Doll Shrine (Zen Gardens)
Recommended CL: 3.5+
It seems to depend on the day, but there are sometimes crews here on the weekends or during breaks.
Ringsets are pretty much "bring what you want," but I would suggest some of the following rings:
Fire Rain, Diagnose, Rock Armor, Divinity, Healing Halo (at least two armor buffs are good)

Papa Saw (Bass'ken Lake)
Recommended CL: 4.0+
You can pretty much always find a PS crew. It's the second highest place to farm for gold and loot, and therefore a favorite.
Ringests are also "bring what you want," but you want to have some AoE attacks and two or three armor buffs for an easier time.
Divinity and Coyote Spirit also help boost luck = more loot, gold, orbs, etc.

Shallow Seas (Gold Beach)
Recommended CL: 9.8+
There are two types of Shallow Seas speed mobbing crews: SMOB and SMEB
OB ends at the boneyard, just before the Robofish cave, EB goes all the way to the End Boss.
If you're new, get ready for a lot of lag and confusion. Keep your PDA open so you can follow your crew dots if you get lost.

The red line indicates your running path, stars show where you stop and kill mobs of animated.
Ringsets are something like: 3-4 Attacks | 2 Buffs | Wish | Meat | Passive
