The Beehive Aracade is a dimly-lit, run-of-the-mill game zone that tends to become more active at night. It's a little out of the way - one must walk through a slightly shady alley to find the entrance.

Ronin
Walking down a shady, dark alleyway, Ronin the wandering mercenary keeps alert of his surroundings at all times. "Geez...couldn't they built the arcade at a nicer, easier to find spot than this?" Bit that didn't matter to him. After having completed an assault mission, he felt like taking a break, but not at a bar or tavern this time. This time it was his inner gamer that calls for him, especially a good fighting game.
After a couple steps, he finds himself at the entrance of a brightly lit opening with all the arcade games he could imagine, and he lifted his head, his mouth over the black scarf, and smiled brightly. He was like a kid at a candy store and he eagerly walked in and looked at all the arcade cabinets, recognizing most of them. "Now the question is;Street Fighter IIi 3rd Strike or Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition 2012?"

Ronin
"You know what? Screw it. I feel like parrying! 3rd Strike it is!" And Ronin sits himself down on a chair for the Street Fighter 3rd Strike cabinet. Grabbing a quarter from one of his pockets, he pops it in the cabinet and presses start.
"Welcome to the world of Street Fighter 3!"
The hip-hop character select theme plays as Ronin is taken to the character select theme. He couldn't help but hum to the theme as he scrolls through the different characters. "Heh...you can't go wrong with Street Fighter's poster boy...." He said to himself and he selected Ryu, with the Super Art I; Shinkuu Hadouken.
"I get the picture!"
Ronin then has a choice of two different opponents each round. His first two choices are Yun and Oro. He time up and selects Yun and the Versus screen pops up.
"Ryu vs. Yun"
Ronin wiggled the control stick and kept his right hand in position over all the six attack buttons to warm himself up as the two fighters on screen have made their entrances. "Okay...let's see if I still got this!"
"Into the Heat of Battle! Go for it!"

A young boy enters the arcade, having wandered in from the alleyway, his big green eyes widening in delighted surprise as he looks upon the dimlylit room "Whoa, cool!" he glides by a few games, wide-eyed in awe and excitement "It's a bunch of old games!" he says in enthusiasm "I don't even recognize some of these!" he remarks in laughter. Noticing a familiar figure playing a fighting game, he grins and gallops over to join him, watching the screen as the man played the game skillfully "Hah, awesome! I didn't take you for a gamer," he says as he casts the tall man an impressed glance.
As soon as the screen flashes with the word "FIGHT!", Ryu immediately jumped forward and pounded Yun with a heavy straight punch, uppercut to the chin, and then a powerful launching sidekick, sending Yun to the floor. As he gets up, Ryu repeats the same combo once again, pushing him all the way to the corner. The computer AI wasn't really putting up much of a fight. And as Ryu closed in again, Yun threw in several light punches, but Ryu put his hand out in a defensive stance and parries three light punches, flashing blue each time before he tagged Yun's feet with a crouching foot thrust, and then charges a huge fireball. "SHINKUU....HADOUKEN!" "K.O!" "UUAAAAGGHHHH!"
Yun flew across the arena and laid there, knocked out. "YOU WIN!" Said the announcer as Ryu raises his arm in triumph.
As he finished this round, Ronin turned his attention to the young kid as he watched him play, saying he never really took him for a gamer. Not realizing he might've known him, Ronin laughed as he twirled the fight stick and presses the buttons ready for the second round. "Haha well, what can I say? I loooove fighting games!"

Dennis gives him a sly look "Bet I could give you a run for your money, old man," he says daringly, leaning against the machine as he crosses his arms, shifting his green eyes to watch the second round. "Playing against the computers make it too easy."
"Ohoooohhh is that a challenge, boy?" Ronin smirked as he turned towards the boy, eager for any challenge to a game he's played and enjoyed for so long. "Yeah the computer is way too easy the first few rounds....and that's why I sure could use a challenge now!"
"Prepare to Strike! Now!"
And the second round began, but Ronin was too occupied at the moment as he reached into his right pocket to grab a quarter for Dennis with his right hand, while still controlling Ryu through the joystick with his left hand. All the while, Yun walked forward on Ryu and attempted a crouching sweep, but with Ronin still paying attention, he tapped down and Ryu crouched and parried the low kick before he backs off. "Ahh here you go, kid!" And Ronin hands Dennis a quarter and quickly assumed complete control of Ryu as he backed Yun away with one or two mid side kicks, and as soon as Yun jumped, Ryu turned and kicked Yun out of the air with a roundhouse kick.

Dennis blinks as the man offers him a quarter and grins, snatching it as he says, "You're on!" he then watches in anticipation as Ronin owns the computer with ease. He proceeded to study the controls as Ronin played, learning how to do it before the man had finished his game. It didn't look too difficult, the blonde haired boy thought.
It didn't take long before Ryu pounded Yun onto the ground in much the same way he did last round, with the man garbed in the tattered white gi finishing off the young blue-capped martial artist with a jumping heavy straight punch to an uppercut to the chin, canceled into an EX sidekick, bouncing Yun off the invisible wall that is the edge of the screen , and as Yun fell helplessly, Ryu finishes off the combo with that powerful rising uppercut.
"SHORYUKEN!" "K.O.!" "UUUAAAGGHHH!"
"Ryu wins! Alright! That's cool!" The announcer, in a deep, but approving voice, yells out for achieving a perfect. The screen shifts to the results screen
"Offense: A Defense: A Technique: A Overall: A"
Ronin turns to the kid as he awaits his challenge with a determined grin. "Alright kid. Insert your quarter and let's do this thing!"

Dennis watched the fight come to a conclusion and saw the perfect results on the screen. While a bit intimidated by the man's skill, he threw him a daring grin and inserted his quarter into the coin slot "You got it!"
The words flashed on the screen as Dennis inserts his quarter. The screen then transitions to the character select screen, the hip hop music playing as the rapper in the background encourages the player to select a fighter. Unless Dennis is familiar with 3rd Strike, the roster of 19 fighters may appear to be strange and unfamiliar, with only returning main strays Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and Akuma readily available.
Ronin waits patiently for Dennis to pick his fighter, unsure what to expect except for when he actually makes a selection. He hums the character select theme as it plays from the machine, rapping along with it.
"(Let's get it on now) Select to make your first pick (Let's get it on Yo) 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 (Let's get it on Yo) Choose and pick the best one (Let's get it on now) 5, 4, 3, 2, 1"

After inserting the quarter Ronin had given him, the boy looks up at the character select screen, surprised by the hip hop music. "Just how old is this game?" he ponders as he looks through his options. He had played street fighter before, once or twice, but he was more familiar with newer games than this that had better graphics, flashier moves, and creative combos. Despite standing on unfamiliar turf, he decides on a blonde haired character. Judging by how the man beside him had chosen a character that looked like him, he tried to do the same by selecting Ken. He blinks upon hearing the man beside him start to hum and even rap along with the song. Tossing an incredulous look over his shoulder, he smirks, twirling the control stick before confirming his choice "You're a weirdo," he says, snickering playfully.
"Haha I guess I am kind of a weirdo..." Ronin peered over at the kid with a grin, not caring what he thinks. His passion for 3rd Strike was very clear, and while it was more or less overshadowed by its newer counterpart, SSFIVAE v.2012, it was still a cult favorite among hardcore Street Fighter fans not for its flashy combos or better graphics, but rather, its deep mechanics and gameplay, especially the Parry system, a universal technique every fighter has that allows them to deflect an opponent's attack to gain a significant frame advantage and allows them to punish moves quickly, with other benefits to parrying including receiving no chip damage and gaining extra meter. However, it required very strict timing of pushing towards an opponent's strike (or down for a low hitting attack). It was that kind of system that separated the beginners from the truly experienced.
After Dennis has selected Ken, he was now given three different Super Arts to choose from; Shoryuu-Reppa, Shinryuken, and the Shippu Jinraikyaku before it transitions into the versus screen.

Dennis chose the Shinryuken then threw a glance back at Ronin "Hey, have you played Marvel vs Capcom? It's my favorite of these games." He was pretty sure it had come out, already, but if he was wrong, he could always play it off as getting confused about the names. He then looked upon the versus screen, feeling the controls as he prepares for the fight.
"Marvel vs Capcom? I love all those games!" Ronin smiled enthusiastically as the vs screen flashes with the portraits of Ryu and Ken
"Ryu vs. Ken"
Then the screen transitions to an underground train station in New York where both Ryu and Ken tapped their fists in a friendly matter as a sign of their long friendship and rivalry, and Ken utters "Ikuzo!" before the two fighters take their stance and the words "Round 1" flashed on the screen. Ronin holds his right fist out in the same way for Dennis. "Okay kid. Gimme your best shot." Then the screen flashes the word "FIGHT!" and the deep voiced announcer speaks out with a cool tone to it.
"Are you ready? Go for it!"
Ryu bobs back and forth as he sizes his rival up to see what he will do. He then fires a Hadouken from his palms as a blue ball of chi comes towards Ken's way.
