I know they made a movie called "Pathfinder" a couple years back, but I never saw it. When I hear the word "pathfinder" I rethink of the Dragon Lance book about the wild elves. Would you mind posting a short summary of what kind of RP it would be?

Would you mind posting a short summary of what kind of RP it would be? Pathfinder is pretty much an upgraded version of Dungeons&Dragons 3.5 I would just be using all the framework of that system with my own story line. Possible story arcs include a steampunk realm where nature fights civilization's progress; a coven of witches tries to find their kidnapped children; a bunch of oracles guest for the holy quail try to figure out what entities gave them their power and why, Bulletproof Blues is a superhero game, it's super easy to play and run, coming up with plots for that one is actually also super easy.

Would players have to use the forum's dice roll feature to play?

Possibly on pathfinder; definitely on BB In that case just be sure to explain the battle system and how health and magic will be calculated to avoid confusion. Most people that are used to forum role playing don't quite understand table top role playing the first time around. Aside from that, have fun.

To be completely honest, I'm still trying to wrap my own head around converting table top gaming formats to forum role plays. The best advice I can give you is remember that the dice options Gaia gives you are more limited than what you have in real life. For example, IRL you have the option of rolling a D-6 and a D-10 together. But on Gaia both dice would have to be the same denomination. A D-6 with a D-6 or a D-10 with another D-10. That right there changes the dynamic of a game. Try to adjust the game to fit the medium you'll be using and try to keep the math simple. It will be easier to find players if the math is simple. Maybe take out health and magic level calculations and just have a simple win-louse system. If you role a 4, 5, or 6, you win the battle. If you roll a 1, 2, or 3 your character louses the battle.

Ugh. In that case I'll stick to BB. It only uses two D6
