WHO: Fathle, Ekundayo, Domevlo and Thanatos WHEN: Mid-Morning, Early afternoon WHERE: Aria Music Center WEATHER: Gentle snow fall.
After receiving Mr. Lekabel's voice message, Thanatos had quickly returned his call to touch basis. They had decided on an mid-morning/afternoon schedule which wouldn't clash with the other students who were milling about. Most of them were packing up their instruments and heading out into the winter cold. "By Mr. Thanatos!" The small group of children called as they all made their way out the door. He waved them off, making sure each child was safely tucked into a vehicle before closing the door. Checking his watch he noticed the time and was glad for the small groups departure. Fathle and Dayo would make their appearance shortly.
"Domo!" Calling to his charge he went up the stairs two at a time looking around. The lead frei was just leaving his room when he heard his name. With an arched brow as his only acknowledgement he waited for Thanatos to speak. "Oh there you are. We have guests coming over, do you remember Fathle and Ekundayo?" The frei didn't seem to recognize the names at first but with a little time, a spark went off.
"Dayo?" He muttered softly the name he remember. The pretty bird looking frei who he had briefly spoken to at the party. "Dayo is coming?" He asked for confirmation.
"Yes. I just got off the phone with her guardian. They will be here shortly. Wouldn't like to come down and greet her?"
Seeming to vibrate at a slow pace, the frei lifted from the ground just a bit, his equine ears swiveling with the awareness of a new friend approaching. "Yes. Domo will get cleaned up and come down."
"Okay buddy I'll meet you downstairs. Don't be too long." And that's where Thanatos would be as he hurried downstairs to wait for his guests.

“Did you dress warmly, my dear?”
Dayo didn’t answer Fathle right away as she studied her reflection in the small mirror ontop of her desk. Her golden eyes glanced to the side as her tall guardian’s form appeared on the reflective surface. “It’s snowing a little bit, Dayo. Be sure to dress warmly,” he said as he approached and smoothed out her jacket and fixed up her scarf. “You look lovely, my heart. We should head out before we’re late…”
Dayo followed her guardian out to the car and sat in the driver’s seat. She was restless with her happy energy. Dayo was so happy that she would be interacting with a raeven again so quickly. If she remembered correctly, she might be taking lessons with Domo… the lead raeven. Dayo smiled to herself as she watched the streets blur together as Faye drove toward the music center.
The drive took a little longer than usual because of the snow. Dayo watched human children getting picked up by their adult guardians. School must have let out. “So… Domo will be playing with me?” she asked, breaking the silence in the car. “Yes, I believe so, Dayo. I am not entirely sure,” Fathle said with a smile as he turned to look at her. “I’m sure Mr. Xan will be able to let you know.” Dayo nodded and was quiet for the rest of the car ride. When they finally arrived, she took in the front of the music center as Fathle opened her door and escorted her toward the lobby doors. Dayo shivered and brushed off the snow in her brown hair as the warmth of the building encased them. “Ah, Xan, I apologize if we are a little late. I’m afraid traffic became congested due to the snow…”
She looked toward the direction that Fathle was speaking and found the cowboy guardian waiting for them. Dayo smiled and waved to him. “Hello, Mr. Xan! Thank you for inviting us.”

"No please don't worry. I can only imagine how the weather is." He smiled warmly offering a hand for a friendly shake before turning his attention to Dayo. ["You my dear young lady are always welcome. Thank you for coming." He gave her a polite wink in kind. "I'm sure Domo will be pleased to have you around... speaking of which..." Trialing off he moved toward the stairs calling out. "Domo! Aren't you done?"
"In a minute!" He yelled down slamming a door behind him.
With a shrug and a chuckle, Thanatos turned to his guests. "If you'd like to take your coats off you can hang them in the closet right there. We're going upstairs anyways." It was better to conduct business in the stage room where most of the equipment was locked up. "Once we get upstairs would you like to knock on Domo's door and see what's taking so long, Dayo? It's at the end of the hall with the WARNING sign on it."

Fathle shook Xan’s hand before shrugging off his coat and helping Dayo out of her jacket. “Thank you, Xan,” he said as he stowed away both of their coats in the closet. The raeven smiled at Xan, deciding that she liked this man. “I’d like to do that, Mr. Xan,” she said, her golden eyes glancing over at the stairs. She wondered what the lead raeven was doing and what his room looked like. What would a male raeven’s room look like? Would it look like a human boy’s?
“I hope that you were well since the last time we met? And again, thank you for having us today. You have an impressive establishment,” Fathle said as Dayo floated up next to him and took ahold of his hand. “Mr. Xan, will Domo be playing with me if I decide to play the cello?”

Thanatos decided he liked Dayo, she was very polite and so sweet. In a way she reminded him of his sister... ahh.. he truly missed the little brat. Shaking himself from his thoughts he returned his attention to his guests. "I've been doing just fine actually and thank you."
Moving toward the stairs he ascended casually keeping his attention on Dayo as she spoke. "Oh yes. I had meant to tell you. He will but we have to get him prepared first. Considering his little handicap he'll probably have a harder time playing." Saying this Xan wiggled his fingers indicating Domo's lack of a fifth digit. "I think having a friend will help him stay focused if you encourage him." He smiled stopping at the top of the landing. "Here we are, just give his door a knock. I'll be taking Fathle up to the attic, Domo can escort you up once your ready."
"Shall we?" He nodded to Fathle.

The pair climbed the stairs after Xan, both of them taking in the music center. Dayo floated in front of her Faye so she could stay close to the other man. “Oh…” she said before glancing behind her to look at Faye. The first thing Dayo felt was pity for the lead raeven. Her guardian must have sensed her concern because he reached out and brushed their finger tips together. Dayo turned back toward Xan and offered a smile before floating a bit to the side so that her guardian could join them at the top of the stairs. “I’ll try my best, Mr. Xan. I just hope I don’t do poorly on the cello.”
She turned her golden eyes down the hallway to the door with a large warning sign on it when Xan mentioned Domo’s room. “Okay,” Dayo said brightly. “Thank you, Mr. Xan.” Fathle waved her off before turning to follow the other man up to the attic. Dayo watched them disappear before hesitantly approaching Domo’s room. She leaned in a little bit to see if she could hear anything. Dayo could hear movement behind the door but nothing else really significant. She then tapped on the door. “Domo…? It’s Dayo..”

Domevlo was rummaging around in his room moving this and that around. What had started with a simple task of putting on a change of cloths had turned into a full on war with his wardrobe. Clothing was strung about some on the bed, more on his desk and many others just haphazardly flung about. With a frustrated growl he had given up looking for anything at all.
By the time he heard the soft rap on his door his thoughts were elsewhere and he hadn't heard Dayo's soft voice. Opening the door with a growl he blinked a few times noting Dayo at his door. So wrapped up in his frustration that he hadn't remembered to replace his mask which he only took off in his room ( since it had no mirrors or reflective surfaces to scare him), he blinked twice slapped a hand over his mouth and promptly shut the door. A few hasty noises would soon bring the door open again with his mask safely in place. "Dayo...?" He blushed softly under his mask eyes downcast as he finished button up his shirt. "Welcome." He offered, feeling poorly for having slammed the door in her face. "Sorry about the door. You surprised Domo."

The first thing that hit her was a wave of irritation that floated off the lead raeven like a cloud skittering across the sky. Dayo was about to say hello but Domo didn’t give her time to process anything. All she saw was a blur of a face before the door was shut in her face. Dayo didn’t know what to do. Should she knock again? Xan did expect them both upstairs. “Um, Domo…?” she called out tentatively. When she pressed her fingers against the door, she felt the faint emotional vibrations coming from the room. It was a faint, confusing swirl but it was mostly embarrassment. Before Dayo could knock again, the door was open once more. This time the lead raeven had on his mask. Now that she thought about it, Domo did not have on his mask the first time he had opened the door. She didn’t even have time to fully take in the features of his face before she was staring at a wooden surface. That was a shame. Dayo wondered why the mask was so important to him… she would have liked to have seen the lower portion of his face.
Dayo offered a warm smile to Domo and shook her head. “It’s okay,” she said, reaching out to briefly touch the lead raeven’s arm to assure him. She felt his emotions curl into her body and soak into her rune. “I’m glad to see you again. Have you been well?”

Feeling much better now that he was fully clothed ( mask and all ), he settled in his "stance" taking in the eagle frei. "Domo is doing well, thank you." He paused momentarily taking note of her hand on his arm. He wasn't sure how he felt about that but it wasn't unpleasant. Taking his own hand he placed it on top of hers, moving it from his arm to inspect curiously. She had soft hands, light to the touch, and smooth but not firm like his lead skin. Done with his inspection he let her hand go and turned toward his room. "Domo is looking for something to wear... um... was looking." He took a quick glance around his tormented room and shrug. "No worries. We go..."
Turning back toward Dayo he closed the door behind him heading down the hall. "Come. We go look for Dayo's cello. Find a really pretty one for a pretty girl, yes?"

Dayo thought she had done something wrong by touching the other raeven for a moment when he stopped to stare at her hand on his arm. She was about to offer an apology but stopped when his hand took hers and Domo studied it carefully. A small shudder vibrated her soft, feather wings as Domo’s emotions seeped into her skin at the site of their contact. It was then Dayo noticed that he really didn’t have a fifth digit. And it wasn’t like the raeven had lost it in an injury. It was just the way he was formed. She found it very interesting. Dayo blinked as Domo let go of her hand and was soon heading down the hall. She floated after him and smiled, a happy, faint blush tinting her cheeks. “You’re so sweet, Domo. Thank you,” Dayo said. “Mr. Xan said we would be playing together. I am excited to be students together…”

"Yes, Thanatos said it would help me focus." Although a lot of good that would do. Dayo was so pretty and he really enjoyed her company so far. Opening the door to the attic he slipped to the side to let Dayo go up the stairs first. Following behind her they stopped at the top of the landing which opened to a room filled with mood lighting. Thankfully it was day time and natural lighting from outside helped to brighten the room.
In the far end of the attic was a small stage with an electric piano, drum set, guitar, bass and other instruments off to the side. Taking Dayo's hand he would lead her toward a wall that housed the string instruments. On the wall were a few violins, viola and cellos. "You can pick anyone you want."
Noting the two frei as they entered, Xan made his way over. "If you don't like the one's we have here, you're more than welcome to put in for a custom order." He informed giving Dayo a soft squeeze on her shoulder.
"Thanatos got one made for Domo, it's going to be all white." He beamed proudly to himself looking behind him toward the cowboy.
"Yes but it won't get here any time soon." Turning to Fathle he gave the other man a wink. "He's a very demanding individual. If you do decide a custom, I can give you a discount." He offered.

Dayo carefully slipped past Domo and did a full turn as she took in the warmly lit music area. She smiled at the two guardians before looking at the lead raeven. “This is so nice,” she said as he took her hand. Dayo smiled to herself happily. She was still getting used to having such frequent raeven interactions. She was like a thirsty man after so many years surrounded by just humans. Dayo squeezed Domo’s hand lightly before looking at all the instruments. “So many…” she breathed. Dayo looked up at Xan with smile. “A custom one?” A picture of a cello carved like an eagle popped into Dayo’s mind but that might be a little… strange. “Ooo, a pure white one will be nice, Domo,” she said before turning to Fathle.
“Well, what do you think, my heart?” her guardian asked. “Mr. Xan is being very generous.” “Um… well, I don’t think I need a custom one,” Dayo said hesitantly. She floated over the many instruments and ran her fingers across them. She finally rested on a cello tucked behind the drum set. “May I have this one?” she asked, gingerly holding the cello as her golden eyes looked at Xan, Faye, and Domo.

Thanatos smiled as he watched the eagle frei make her selection. He wondered why she didn't take the offer of a custom but decided not to push. If she changed her mind the offer was still available. Noting the cello she picked he smiled warmly, "That's a very nice selection." He offered moving over to take a closer look. "May I?" He asked carefully taking it in hand, he made sure there were no dents, dings or scratches that would detract from the appearance and/or sound of the instrument. Satisfied with his inspection he returned it to the eagle raeven. "Now that you've got yourself a cello you'll need to know how to keep it tuned and cleaned." Moving over to a small alcove with a cabinet, he pulled out a booklet. "This will help you learn the basics about your cello. It also has some good info on where to buy essential items. And as long as you'll be taking lessons here, we can always have it tuned and repaired for free at our outside shop."
Domo hovered near looking over her choice. He smiled under his mask deciding he liked it. A deep brown with soft curves and it was a very polished instrument. "It's a lovely choice, Dayo." He encouraged glad that he would have her along for his lessons. "When do we start lessons?"
"Soon. I'm thinking sometime in the beginning of the new year." He turned to Fathle for confirmation, "Is that okay?"

Dayo nodded and let go of her chosen cello and watched Domo’s guardian expertly look over the instrument to check it for physical integrity before taking it back from him. “Cleaned…?” she echoed before carefully looking at the booklet. Dayo carefully set her cello aside and looked at the pages. “Thank you, Mr. Xan,” she said with a smile. “Yes, thank you, Xan. That all sounds very helpful and generous,” Fathle added.
Dayo looked over at Domo as the lead raeven approached to look at her chosen cello. She smiled at his compliment. “Thank you, Domo. This is really nice,” she said, glancing back at her cello. “Yes, that sounds fine. What do you think, my heart?” Fathle asked as he placed a pale hand on her shoulder. The eagle raeven nodded eagerly and smiled over at Domo. “I’m excited to play together, Domo.” “Well, that settles it,” Fathle said with a small smile.

Thanatos moved to a small corner pulling out a case to place Dayo's cello. "This is so you can carry it around. Free of charge." He gave her a playful wink turning his attention to Faye. "How would you like to make your payment? Check or credit?" He asked.
Domo glided over to Dayo running a cool gray hand over her cello before settling that hand on hers. With a gentle pat he inspected her hand noting his disadvantage. The confusion was short lived however as he turned his amber eyes to her. "We will be good friends now, Dayo?" He asked, hoping such a thing could be true. It was nice to be around his own.
