Nickname: Rey Ray
Gender: Female

Occupation: Orphan
Homeland: Felipenes (Philippines equivalent)
Residence: Western Palisade; living in an abandoned building
Appearance
A twelve year old girl, with dark skin and straight black hair that reaches her shoulders. She does not style it, so she often looks rather scraggly. Her eyes are very dark brown, nearing black. She is rather thin, and not very tall for her age, so she's often thought to be younger than she is.
Personality Although in her native land, she was a very playful, outgoing and inquisitive child, here in Sunderland she comes across very differently. She knows only a little Common, and speaks even less (she's must more fluent in her father's language, Hesperian.) So she appears very quiet and shy, if only because she doesn't understand much. She is also incredibly afraid that something awful will happen to her, and so she is also very skittish, especially around adults.
Despite this, she really is still inquisitive, and eager to learn. She hopes she can learn enough Common to be able to return to her homeland where her grandparents must still be, or even to Hesperia where her father's family resides. However, for the time being, Rey Ray is living with a group of orphans, and enjoys their company.
History
Born in the Felipenes, a series of islands that are territory of Hesperia, Rey Ray lived most of her life there with her native Felipino mother, while her father, a Hesperian, traveled back and forth between the nations. Her life was ultimately very peaceful, until her father came and said they were going to Hesperia to visit his family two years ago. From there, her family traveled to Sunderland where they stayed for a short while for her father to do business.
Unfortunately, her parents tragically died in a house fire which destroyed the Oldcastle cottage they were living in and left Reyna alone in a world that was foreign to her. Knowing very little Common and having no relatives in the area, she was resigned to the life of an orphan. Her only solace is her new-found orphan friends, and the deer who has become her companion.
Family
Chesa Maliit de Garcia - Her deceased mother.
Ray Garcia - Her deceased father. He was a merchant from Hesperia who married a native Felipino woman. He normally only did business in Hesperia, but was beginning to make connections in Sunderland.
Currently
Hiding out in Gabe's abandoned building.
Future plans
Learn some Common! Try to return to the Motherland!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX✾ About The Felipenes
The Felipenes, or Las Felipenes Islas, are a group of islands south of Zhongguo, that are currently a claimed territory and colony of Hesperia. Hesperia laid claim to the islands almost 200 years ago, and they named the land Felipenes after King Felipe.
The Felipenes are islands rich with mixed culture and exotic spices and foods, and many Hesperian travelers and merchants have made homes and families in the islands, including Rey Ray's father. The Felipenes, as a Hesperian territory, speak Hesperian and their own native language, known as Ribereña. Many also know the language of Zhongguo, as some Felipino people are descendants of settlers from Zhongguo as well.
The islands are not very well known in Sunderland, outside of merchants, but many Hesperians know of it, and almost all respectable Hesperian merchants have gone to the Felipenes to bring back their exotic goods.

A motherly doe who obsessively and compulsively feels the need to check up on and take care of her chosen. She is warm to all children, but finds a special place in her heart for her chosen, of course! Cardinal is rather passive otherwise, willing to go along with the flow and do whatever her chosen desires. Only if her chosen were threatened would she become the angry mother bear, and she would chase off and attack anyone who would dare try to bring harm to Ray Rey.
Relationship to Chosen
As Rey Ray has the unfortunate circumstance of being an orphan, Cardinal's motherly personality comes in handy as she soothes and comforts her, and her obsessive care-taking is actually helpful instead of something that interferes in Rey Ray's life. Even when she was a fawn, she made sure her chosen ate and had a warm place to stay at night (it was Cardinal who brought Rey Ray to the abandoned building where the orphans convene). She loves her chosen dearly, and wants nothing but the best for her.
