The day was a warm, clear one, not a cloud in the sky. It was the sort that called to those of the world to enjoy it while they could, it wasn't as though they knew when something might happen to ruin it after all given the looming threat to the south. Today was one of those day that it was almost easy to forget about all of that, especially giving that something seemed new and different seemed to be in the air today. Blowing by on the wind was a rather beautiful, trilling sound, one that sounded as though it perhaps an avian of some sort calling to its mate? Or was it perhaps a musician playing an exotic instrument? Or maybe even a singer? Not matter what it was that was out there they were really talented but without seeing who or what was making the sound it would be impossible to guess which answer was the right one.
One thing for certain was that the tune had a certain pull to it, it made it hard for one to just ignore it. It was the sort of tune that said 'come and join me' or better yet 'let's spend this wonderful afternoon together' either way it was a song that was a bit on the infectious side, making a person want to dance when they heard it.

Pahana's feet tapped along the path in a steady motion as she made her way down. She had been out all morning practicing her moves, motions, and steps, and was on her way to her current favorite spot in Jauhar. It was an alcove with a lovely tree and a stream that often carried flowers down in it's current, which she would then affix to her head or clothing if she fancied them enough. She liked how calming it was to be there among the boughs of the tree and the rippling sounds of the water. Why couldn't there be places like that in Tale?
However, just before the turn to her destination, a beautiful tune caught her attention. What was that music? A bird? A native minstrel? She strayed from her given path and moved quickly, like a curious animal, skittering from tree to tree. So far, she couldn't see much of anything, but the music was delightful! Maybe, if this was a person playing, they would like her to dance for them? The tune was just begging for a whole troupe of performers to bring it to life!

The song would lead Pahana onward toward a small clearing, one that seemed to be currently inhabited by a few different animals, the most noticeable of them being a big, blue bird that was singing the song for the one that everyone was watching. A girl seemed to be the center of attention as she danced within a shaft of sunlight that was coming down from overhead. It was like a spot light all her own, focused on her, making her seem as though she were the most important one for miles. The bright light seemed to ricochet off the bright pink crystals that were scattered across her face and shoulders as she moved, looking like glimmering light show.
She whirled around a couple times in a swift, graceful motion in the light before hopping out of it, giving a low bow before the animals and Pahana, before she stood up right, her glittering green eyes meeting those of the girl across from her.. and it would be about that time that something would become quite clear to Pahana. The young prentice girl in front of her, the color and style of her hair, her eyes, the placement of her crystals, even what tribe she came from, she was a carbon copy of Pahana herself.
The girl's lips turned up into a rather pleased sort of smile before she twirled around again, moving toward Pahana, and came to a halt before her. Once more the other girl gave a bow, holding out a hand to her, seemingly inviting her to dance. Around them the various animals waited, a captive audience, and the blue bird once more set to whistling the same tune once more.

To say that Pahana were enthralled with this girl would be a stark understatement. She was so beautiful... So... Familiar.
WAIT. She looked exactly like she did! Only, she was talented! Well, maybe experienced, but STILL! She fidgeted slightly, her mind filled with ideas of a possible twin sister that had been abandoned and the resulting headache over the reasons why she was. Then, a hand was extended, and invitation...
"You want me to dance with you?" She asked, taking the other girl's hand graciously. "Okay! But... Uh...."
She paused, glancing around, before leaning in to whisper. "Are you my long lost twin...?" She said. "Because, you look just like ME..."

The look alike gave a nod, lacing her fingers together with those of Pahana before giving her hand a squeeze. It would appear that Pahana accepting the invitation to dance was something that caused the other girl a great amount of joy given the way her eyes sparkled and her lips were turned up into such a happy smile. With that she started to draw Pahana forward toward where the spot light of sun was, a bounce in her step, eager to dance with someone other then herself it would seem. The moment that they were both within the shaft of sun light the blue bird really got into the song, once more whistling up a storm, seeming to be excited over getting to play for more then one person as well.
The question posed to her by Pahana caused the girl to give pause. She tilted her head to one side, looking for a moment thoughtful, before giving a little shrug. It would seem as though she wasn't offering up an answer to the question, was she? She wasn't exactly withholding information but instead she had other things that she would much rather do, funner things, and having a partner to share them with would make those things far more fun!
The girl gave Pahan a little bow, then, still holding her hand, set to dancing, drawing the other girl along with her. For the time being the dance was a simple one, with the look alike taking the lead, one of her hands resting on Pahana's back to help to guide her.

While still perplexed by this look alike girl, Pahana's mind quickly drifted to the music swirling around her. That bird had some whistle! She was hooked!
She allowed the girl to lead her into the first dance, smiling all the while. Maybe later she would catch her name and invite her back to meet Yaholo? He'd be just as confused as she was!

Giving a smile, her green eyes twinkling with delight, the other girl allowed their dance to end after a time, giving Pahana a short break as she turned to look over at the blue bird, snapping her fingers a couple times at it. That had been fun but she wanted more, a bigger, better, and more amazing dance then the first one! The avian let the current song that it was singing die away before it fluttered its wings, seeming to be thinking for a moment, before it started in on a new one. The beat of this song was a lot faster then the previous one, the sort of song that one imagined a group of people clapping along with due to its infectious nature.
Giving a happy nod to the bird and a clap of her hands Pahana's double swept Pahana up into another dance. It was just the speed of the new dance that was increased at first but soon enough she also added more complicated steps, the two of them moving that much quicker around the circle of sun light that they were sharing. The look alike seemed to be having a great time, enjoying having a dance partner far more then just dancing on her own it would seem.

Pahana did her best to keep up with the new song, though her uncertainty was more than just brimming through her smile. It wasn't that the steps were too difficult or that her footing was off, it was just how odd it was for her to be here. Who was this girl? Was she the owner of that big bird? Why was she dancing all the way out here? It didn't make any sense.
However, she kept going with the rhythm, her mind drifting between worrying about the situation and simply letting it take her for a ride, and found herself smiling. This was so much fun! "Does he know any other songs?" She asked, referencing to the bird, assuming it's gender.

The look alike girl continued on with the more complicated dance, happily waiting until the song was over before she decided to acknowledge the question that had been asked of her. Did he know any other songs? She turned to look over at the big, blue bird that was sitting there, seemingly waiting on them. She gave a happy nod before turning to look over at her avian companion, giving a nod of her head.
The bird opened his mouth and set to singing once more, giving a little taste for a handful of songs that he seemed to know. They were songs gathered from various tribes over time, each of them having a distinct sound to them, and once he was done with the little collective of songs he paused, taking a little rest as he turned to look over at the look alike, waiting to see what she asked for next. It was clear that she was currently debating over the songs before making a motion to him, one that caused him to break into one of the songs that the bird had sampled for Pahana.
The girl smiled, nodded, then held her hand out to Pahana taking her hand before pulling her into yet another dance as overhead the sun continued to shine brightly, seemingly unmoving despite the fact that they had been dancing for sometime. Or maybe they had just started? Not as though the sun just stood still or anything.

Pahana marveled at how many songs the bird knew, her eyes gleaming with excitement. Had her look alike taught the bird all those songs? Or did it learn them all on it's own? She smiled as it continued to whistle at the girl's prompting, and willingly allowed herself to be drawn into another dance.
However, as the dance went on, her attention was drawn to an oddity she hadn't seen before. Had time stopped? The sun hadn't moved from it's spot and they had, so far, done three dances together. By now, the sun should be close to mid -afternoon. Though she was puzzled, she continued to dance, her mind tossing the thought away for the time being. Maybe she was wrong, it was probably earlier than she thought it was, anyway. No need to fuss.

One dance bled into another, into another, and the look a like girl seemed to continue on smiling, seeming as though she was rather enjoying the time with Pahana. She also seemed as though she wasn't even winded even after all this time that the two of them had spent dancing to this point. Alongside her the blue bird continued to go through its various songs, the extended versions of them, and as they continued onward the sun continued to hang ever over head. The day seeming to really be dragging on as the two of them enjoyed their dancing, something that the look alike girl really seemed to be having fun with.
The girl came to a halt before spinning Pahana around a couple times before she stepped back, bowed, then stood back up as she clapped her hands together. It seemed that she was having fun at least. After a moment she reached over, scratching the bird under his chin, before she seemed to be thinking once more. What song next? What dance next? She wasn't quite sure, there were so many that they could do after all.
After a time she decided that she wouldn't pick this time, instead she turned to look over to Pahana before motioning to her to pick.

Pahana stumbled a little as she was spun and took a moment or two to find her balance again. Whoa! This girl sure knew how to party, didn't she? She rubbed the side of her head, smiled, and turned to where the girl stood, only to realize that it was her turn to pick a song.
... Oh, dear. She froze, her expression faltering to a nervous gaze. This girl was so much better than she was... What if she picked a terrible song or one that she screwed up? She didn't even know the hands signals for the bird! Green eyes gazed to the ground, deep in thought, until a sudden idea popped into her head.
"I think he should pick the song most suitable for us to dance next." She offered, nervously. "After all, he's the one that sings them..."

The girl gave a smile, turning to look over at the bird, wondering if he would want to pick the song. Given the way that the bird cocked his head to the side, seeming to be thinking on it, before he gave a nod of his head. It would appear as though he had in fact decided to pick a song on his own, something that caused the girl to bounce in place in an excited manner. She motioned to the bird to begin the song that it was going to sing, quite curious to know what it was that he was going to pick.
The bird let out a long, trilling sound, one that filled the area around them before he set to singing another song, a really upbeat one, one that caused the bird to bounce along with it as he sang. It seemed that he much preferred the energetic songs and figured since it was his choice then he would sing the really extra long, extended version. It would allow him to sing what he wanted to sing for that much longer, and he planned to keep it up until his mistress decided to tell him to pick a new one.
The look alike gave the blue bird a glance before holding her hand out to Pahana, bowing to her as she did so, ready for the next round of dancing to begin if Pahana was.

Pahana's expression was as relieved as it was excited. She could continue to dance with this amazing look-a-like without feeling embarrassed. Plus, the tune that the bird picked was one that she really liked! Energetic, lively, bright, just like her! She could dance to this for hours!
"Of course!" She exclaimed, taking the girl's hand. She moved about quickly, with some wobble in her step, but the rhythm was there, even if a little shaky. This song, undoubtedly, was the best choice the bird could have ever made. Her fears of messing up seemed to flow away with the breeze.

The way that Pahana seemed to give herself over to the dance, no longer trying overly hard but instead just enjoying herself, allowing her fears to fade away into nothingness, it seemed to please her dance partner more then anything else could. It was a nice thing to see, as was the feeling of the stiffness about her vanishing along with the fear. The dance before a more flowing one, the two of them seeming to match even better now, as though now their movements were the same just as their looks were. It had taken several dances to reached this point but it was a good thing the girl thought to herself as she continued with the dance.
This one seemed to be a much longer dance then the last one, as though it would be never ending, but what was an extra long dance for them? It wasn't as though either of them had anywhere to be or so the look alike girl believed. The bird was apt to agree, eager to continue on with the fun that was this particular song. It was one that he'd always enjoyed and one that he never got to sing to his heart's content. He meant to sing the song for as long as he was allowed.
The song, the swift and flawless dance, the unchanging light, it might almost to cause time to seem unimportant, and perhaps even that everything outside the shaft of light they danced in to just fade away...
