Description: There have been numerous reports about a flash of light followed by a loud noise having woken up pretty much an entire village in the Land of Rivers a few weeks ago. Such events rarely warrant our attention, however one of our spies has reported that roughly around that day animals in the area have started getting restless, and there have been reports that some might have started mutating. The Mizukage has required that the source of this disturbance be investigated to see if any sort of valuable information may be salvaged.
Danger Assessment: The Land of Rivers not boasting a ninja village, the risk of local opposition is fairly low. However, reports of vicious animal attacks have spiked in the last few weeks and it is unknown of the source of these disturbances could have an effect on the human body. Furthermore, other villages are bound to have been notified of the event and, because the Land of Rivers has common borders with three countries that have ninja villages, very high caution and discretion will be necessary to avoid diplomatic consequences. Mission has been qualified as B-Rank and it has been required that members have at least basic infiltration backgrounds.
Notes: This mission will be a very sensitive one, as it promises high rewards but also has the potential of turning sour very quickly. It goes without saying that the black ops are probably the ones who pushed the kage to investigate when they heard that living beings might have mutated because of some event. Still, it's clear that the Mizukage didn't want it to be left in their hands, since the diplomatic fallout would be too great if it was revealed that an assassination squand had been dispatched in a neutral country to retrieve a potential biological weapon. Utmost discretion will be requried, especially if squads from other villages are encountered as we do not want to start the sixth great ninja war by crossing Konoha, Kusa, or Suna...
Wage: 150 ryo per member, special remuneration may be awarded if a potent sample can be retrieved.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 
Hiru didn't know how to feel about this assignement, it was going to be his first covert mission in quite some time and wasn't sure how apt his team would be. He was used to do these missions either alone or with specialists after all...
He had been briefed on the mission details, and had been informed that, as an ex black ops operative, he had been appointed as leader to this squad as part of a compromise between the Mizukage and the branch's leader. Still, he would have liked to know sooner who they were thinking about assigning to this mission so he could have had his say.
Getting to the rendez-vous point very early, he waited for the others so he could meet them as they arrived.[Role Call]

D: 45 | F: 10 | R: 23 |W: 21Batsu was relieved. This was the first true mission that the medic was apart of in a while. Granted, he loved working in the hospital and treating patients there... but sometimes it's good to step away from the mundane and do something different for a change. Needless to say that when Batsu was pulled away in the midst of going over reading medical procedures in the past he was sort of shocked at the time. The shocked was short-lived for a while until he was debriefed for the mission and made his way to the meet-up spot. There the pressure reached fever pitch and saw no one other than Hiru-san. He had never really worked with the Hoshigaki so it seemed like a pretty big deal since he usually worked alone. At least, that's what he had heard. But yet and still, why him? There were plenty of capable ninja out there in Kirigakure and he was picked to go with Hiru. He was flattered at the idea, but wow... Hiru-san. Be that as it may, Batsu had to keep his composure lest he seemed incompetent. The young chuunin eventually made it to the rendezvous point and gave Hiru a slight wave. "Hello Hiru-san." he said almost flatly.

Naru gingerly made her way to the rendezvous point. It was her first mission since that whole Ame laboratory debacle, and truth be told, she didn't feel particularly up for it. That jab in the lab had caused some really weird things to happen to her body that she was still feelings the effects of. But hey, when you were summoned, you were summoned. And she needed to pay the rent...
They hadn't told her anything except the slightest of details. That meant that this was hairy business. But it also meant money, and so it was a risk she was willing to take. Plus, the team leader was someone she had had the pleasure of working with before, and trusted with her life.
She dropped into the meeting point lightly, landing into a crouch to absorb the impact. Straightening up, she nodded at Hiru, and turned to look at the other guy. She didn't recognise him, but he looked barely into his teens. Or even into them. Had a lovely snow-white ponytail, though. B-rankers were really getting younger and younger by the year...
"Hello, little one. Hello, Hoshigaki-kun. Guess we'll all be taking care of each other." She sashayed up to Batsu. Probably her wonky pheromones were firing away like mad. It was probably really obvious to everyone around.

D: 45 | F: 10 | R: 23 |W: 21Batsu started to feel extremely uncomfortable when the female walked closer to him. She reeked of femininity... literally. The fact that he was not into females made things just that much worse for him. Yet and still, Batsu kept a smile on his face and tried to keep his mind clear of any opinions about this girl. The last thing he needed was something to slip out, especially to someone he just met. Batsu gave the woman a courtesy bow before straightening up to look at her as he introduced himself. "Hello, I am Batsu Watanabe a chuunin-ranked medic. Pleased to meet you."
