He wasn't ready for this.
That's what he told himself the second he woke up that day. His only saving grace is that he had never given Gabriel a time as to when he'd come over. So he had dicked about, oddly enough, trying to find any excuse available to him to avoid going over to Gabriel's. And it wasn't until Alistair finally cornered him, and then basically dragged him out the door, that the blonde resigned himself to his fate.
Lance sighed, and listlessly tugged on his wrist. Alistair had a death grip on it, already very tired of the blonde trying to get back to their apartment. It wasn't so much that Lance wanted to get out of going... It was just... He didn't want to see her.
He didn't want to see what she wasn't anymore.

Alistair frowned. He knew this was going to be hard on Lance - how did one even deal with losing someone that close? But :ance had made a promise and goddamnit, Alistair was going to make sure he kept it because Gabriel needed support and so did Lance and holefully they'd get each other through this.
So he kept pulling and tugging and dragging until they got to Gabriel's apartment and he knocked on the door.
Gabriel had begun to think Lance wasn't coming, given how long it had been, and when there was a knock on the door he shooed Clary off her perch on the couch and into the kitchen before he went to answer the door, because it could be someone else. He pulled it open, heart constricting a little.
"Lance, Ali, come on in." At least it was who he was looking for. Relief washed over him. "I'm so glad you actually made it. Clary? It's okay!"
Clary had ducked into the kitchen, but she was waiting right by the door, and so she peeked around it and walked out. It was hard, being out of Senshi form, because now she had to be Clarisse - the name she had settled on because it sounded pretty and strong at the same time - instead of Persephone, and Clarisse was hard because Clarisse didn't know who she was.
"Um, hi?" She said. One of the two boys in the doorway looked familiar, and she squinted for a moment, trying to recognize him, and then it lit up. "Oh! Blondie! I kissed you that one time!"

Lance actually whined, making a small noise as he was dragged to Gabriel's apartment. "He- ....Clary?" The blonde said in a stupor, blinking. And that was when Cait, ...not technically Cait anymore he supposed, popped out of the kitchen and-
Oh god
The blonde paled, refusing to look the few inches to his side. So instead he just continued to stare ahead of him at the green haired girl who looked all too happy at her proclomation.
Oh he was in so much trouble.

Clary looked so very proud of herself for remembering something, at least. It felt like a little victory to her because it connected her powered life to her new civilian one. But he looked embarrassed - so maybe she shouldn't have brought it up... She frowned a little. "Did I mess up?"
Alistair blinked very slowly, and turned to look at Lance. "Do you have a story to share, darling?" He asked, yanking Lance into the apartment and finally releasing his vicegrip on his boyfriend's wrist and going to shut the door behind them.
Gabriel looked between Lance and Clary, his eyes narrowing. What the hell was Clary talking about? This sounded like a damn good story, and he took a minute to sit down on the couch. Was that what Lance had been talking about when he said he knew Persephone? That was a weird thought, he'd always thought Lance wasn't into girls at all...

"Okay.. no uh..." Lance began stammering like an idiot. The blonde inched back, twisting his hands this way and that pointing to Clary, himself, and god knows what else. "Uuuh okay. So... uhm.. Remember, remember when you weren't talking to me because of things and I said I'd come over but I'd walk?" The blonde stuttered hoping he wouldn't have to explain THAT story to Gabriel. "I told you I ran into a friend that night on the way there right?" Atleast he hoped he did. God he was in so much trouble. "It was uh... her? Er. Well not her but Persephone? And uh. We were talking, about things and she, for whatever reason kissed me. Not the other way around." God no. "I freaked out like the second she did it." At this point Lance had actually managed to back away from Alistair and Gabriel completely and was actually using the five foot nothing Clary as a blockade. "Stop glaring at me like that."

Alistair narrowed his eyes. Why the hell hadn't Lance just told him this? He let out a quiet growling noise. "And you chose to wait to tell me this...why, exactly?" He asked, his tone sharp. Certainly it was mostly innocent - it was that Lance had avoided it for so long that had him upset.
Clary actually shrank back into Lance a little. "I'm sorry, I didn't think," she said, her voice dropping to almost nothing. "Uhm," she looked at the tall blond behind her, "did we...did we know each other? I mean, out of uniform," because why else would she have tried to help him sort out his relationship issues?
Gabriel had to put his hand over his mouth to stifle his laughter. Lance was obviously terrified of the wrath of his boyfriend, and quite frankly the whole mental image was hilarious. He probably sohuldn't be laughing but goddamnit six-foot Lance hiding behind five-foot Clary was a delight.

"Uuuuh cause I wasn't sure you'd like the idea of a white mooner kissing me and going off your reaction I'm right?" Then he blinked, realizing something. "For the record that's pretty much how I feel every time you flirt with someone." Lance then blinked down at the girl... "Uuuh yeah. We did. Hold that thought though okay?" He said before shooting at glare at Gabriel's direction. "You laugh now. This will come back to bite you in the a**. I swear it." Lance mumbled before returning his attention to Clary, and trying his best to ignore his boyfriend who looked like he was about ready to skin him alive.

[Alistair made a quiet growling noise. "I'm not pissed it happened, I'm pissed you didn't tell me," he clarified, and then he sank onto the couch and proceeded to look anywhere but at his boyfriend.
"I'm sorry," Clary said again, shrinking in on herself further. She was so much more comfortable as Persephone - why couldn't she just power up and be comfortable? That would be so much better. She cold avoid all this.
Gabriel covered his laughter with heavy coughing, and then gave Lance a very fake sort of smile. At least the blond was busy being embarrassed over this and not angry at him for what had happened to Cait.

"I was going too. But then we kinda got busy with work and I forgot until she literally just reminded me." Lance just made a noise. He'd hafta talk to Ali about this later.. "It's not your fault." He said patting the girl's shoulders. The blonde sent another little glare Gabriel's way before nudging Clary to take a seat. "...So how'd you guys figure a name?" He asked, standing where he was because it looked like if he even moved towards that couch, Alistair would either hit him or get up and move.

Alistair huffed. "We'll talk about this later," he said, crossing his arms and leaning back on the couch. He probably shouldn't be so annoyed about it, but the idea of someone else kissing Lance really bothered him.
Clary smiled faintly. "Well, I didn't forget everything," she said. "I have like...knowledge? Not...experiences. And I remembered the name Clarisse and I liked it so..." She shrugged and hopped up on the counter, kicking her feet a little.
Gabriel stood up, putting a little distance between himself and the angry brunette on the couch. "I think our biggest problem right now is clothes," he said, "since she doesn't really fit in mine..."

"I know..." The blond sighed, being a bit bold and taking a tentative step towards the couch. "You remember things Persephone did right? And not people you knew in you past life.. So you wouldn't remember who I was talking about... That makes a lot of sense... Remind me why you let her do this again?" Another mini glare in Gabriel's direction was fired. "You barely fit in yours." Lance retorted flatly. "I'll see if Jaysen has anything she's not overly attat- Oh you are soooo dead." Lance blanched realizing something else. "Where's Alex by the way?" Lance asked hoping Gabriel picked up on it.

Alistair sank further into himself, still refusing to look back at Lance. He was actually upset, which was unusual on its own, since he couldn't usually stay mad at Lance.
"I don't remember anything about being, uhhh...Cait?" She tried out the name Gabriel had told her she used to have, one she couldn't use anymore because she would put herself in danger if there were people on the other side who still knew who she was.
"Jaysen isn't exactly going to find out what happened, is she? And she's almost your size, anyway, so that won't be helpful." Gabriel sighed. "Worst comes to worst, I take her out shopping for a few things." He swallowed. "Alex has been calling me nonstop since this morning. He hasn't been blowing up your phone asking where she is?"

"For the record, I was talking to her about you." He mumbled to the ever shrinking mass on the couch. "No. How do I tell Jay that Cait won't be around any more as it is? I'm not going to tell her that I need her clothes for her. ....Just cause she's a** tall as me does not mean we fit in each others clothes. Have fun with that one. I am not helping you look for girls clothing." Lance flopped on the opposite end of the couch, dropping his chin in a hand. "My phones at home charging... I hadn't checked it when I left. Doesn't Des know him?"

Alistair cast a quick glance back, and then he stood up. "I think it'd be best if I went home. It was good meeting you, Clary," he said, and then he made a quick beeline for the door and ducked out.
Clary frowned, and she was halfway through getting off the counter before she stopped. "Is he going to be alright?" She asked, clearly concerned. "I, uhm, I don't mind wearing things that don't really fit, I'm not going anywhere." She pointed out. And then, quietly, she asked, "who's Alex?"
Gabriel nodded. "Yeah, he does," he said, "and I'm sure Alex has been calling him too." He sighed and looked over at Clary. "He, uhm..." He swallowed. What the hell was he supposed to tell her? "I don't know if you want that answer, Clary. You can't go back and find him."

Lance waited until the door clicked, waiting till he was sure Ali wasn't leaning against the door listening. "He's going to give me hell when I get home. I'm in deep for not remembering sooner. It's my own fault Clary-" Oh he wasn't sure he could get use to that. "You didn't do anything. I promise." The blonde said, flashing a her a smile. "No you not... But still, it would be nice to have something of your own right?" Something that she could definitely call hers. "Ah.. Alex is a friend of ours. We were suppose to meet up with him the other day and now he's hounding us trying to find out when it's a good time."
