His mother had been insistent that they stayed at the house for the week. With the holidays coming up and both fresh out of the hospital, she was both worried for their health and still terrified that she had almost lost her son. She also wished for them to stick around for the holidays.
Driving home, she pulled in to a 2 story home with a fenced in yard and garage. It was a quiet part of town, made up of couples and families. A few Christmas lights were on the porch.
Leading them inside, Ladon's mother made sure they were settled, made breakfast, and went off to check a few things at work. She said she would be back that evening, left her card, and said that if they wanted anything that wasn't in the fridge, they could call.
She kissed Ladon on the brow, hugged him, and then left.
Taking a breath, he looked around at the home he grew up in and then made sure the door was locked. "So...um...this is my home before our home." The kitchen was clean and tidy, and open to the dinning room. Passed the main hall was the living room. The decor was tidy, modest, and lived in. Pictures of Ladon's family hung from the walls and stood in frames on shelves.

"Does she really expect us to sleep separately?" He asked with an incredulous lift of his brow as she looked around, while holding Sammy in his jacket.
On the way over when Billy had been told he could stay in Ladon's sister's old room, he and just looked over at Ladon with a 'we'll see how long that lasts' look.
All in all the place was better than the apartment. It was certainly warmer, which was good. The apartment wasn't exactly that well heated, and would have certainly hindered the whole 'getting well' thing.

He smiled sheeplishly. "Well...I think my mom isn't used to the idea that I'm with a guy and that I was even dating. I didn't exactly know anyone when I was home...or bring anyone home. She's a mom after all." He looked at Billy before placing his hands together. "Please don't make her have the talk with me or something just because you sneak into my room. If my mom talks about sex with me, I'm going to die a little inside."
Please don't do this to him, Billy. He was pleading here.
"You can probably let Sammy run around a bit. It's just going to be us here for a while. Just pick her up when my mom comes. I think Sammy would give her a heart attack if she got near her."

Billy may have been mischievous, but was he that mischievous? Well....maybe. Okay, yeah he was. But he could be a good boy! Maybe.
"I'd be glad to let her know that you are well beyond needing 'the talk,' if that would ease your worried mind," Billy teased, setting Sammy down to let her explore - her little collar jingling as she scampered around, investigating her new surroundings.
"But hey - I'll stay in my room. The real question is - can you stay in yours?" There was that smirk as he looked over at Ladon with challenge in his half-lidded eyes.

"NO! No. Oh my god, PLEAASSEE don't do that. If she knew we went that far - I don't want my mom knowing about my personal life like that." To have his mom know that he had sex just made his skin crawl. He would feel as if she thought he was dirty or just, - you just didn't want your mom and sex being involved in the same realm!!
At the challenge, he paused, thought about it, and then frowned. "That isn't fair." He knew that Billy was his security when he slept, and he often waited for Billy to get back home just to sleep. Now that he thought about it, he knew he wouldn't do well sleeping alone unless his meds really knocked him out.

"Welp, there goes honeymoon planning," or a wedding, Billy muttered offhandedly, still teasing. After all, nothing said 'they gonna have teh secks' like a nice wedding. He wondered if Ladon had thought about that one...
Billy grinned when Ladon said that it wasn't fair, "Well then, just remember to lock the door when you sneak in." He said it as if he fully expected that such would happen. He was most likely right.
All in all, Billy was feeling alright - the fact that he was teasing Ladon so much and feeling so frisky certainly showed that. Billy's favorite past time was seeng what he could do or say to make Ladon blush, or stammer, or any of those little cute things.

He flushed at the mention of honeymoon, and he wondered if Billy remembered much from what he tried to bring up at the hospital. Honeymoon. They were really bring this up, and it made him warm. They were at this point, and he wanted to hear more and more about it. More ideas for when he got to actually start planning - after the proposal.
He was just working on the ring.
He frowned at the idea of sneaking in. "You better be awake if I do." He said, but worried about his mother catching him.
"My mom would flip if you mentioned honeymoon." He said, but smiled all the same.
Blushing, he went over to kiss Billy on the lips. "Come on. We can let Sammy run around upstairs." He took his hand and started to lead him upstairs.

From the sounds of the jingling she was already up- o wait, nope. Sammy was tumbling like a slinky down the steps. Once she was at the bottom she scampered back up the steps...and started tumbling down them again.
"I think Sammy is fine as-is.... And what're you gonna do if I'm not awake, eh?" He asked as he followed Ladon, mindful of the tumbling ferret.
Not that he thought Ladon would try much while his mother was at home, if he did sneak in to his room. Billy wasn't exactly a quiet bed mate. And no, that did not mean he snored, either.

"I'll make sure my hands are cold and wake you up." Ladon said with a smile, not devulging where he would touch. If Billy wanted to keep talking like that, he could talk like that too a bit, even if it still made him feel warm under the collar.
Leading him to the top floor, there showed one bathroom and three rooms. "This one is my sister's room, this one is my room, and that's another room that was where we studied. My mom's room is downstairs down the hallway under the study room." He informed him, just in case Billy was worried that his mom would hear them talking at night by being directly under them.
He opened his sister's room, which was a light pastel blue, and had 2 stuffed animals still left on a shelf, books and magazines, but was otherwise devoid of much else. "She doesn't leave much here. She usually comes with her bag of clothes, laptop, and her makeup. Don't worry though. My mom washes the sheets every time she goes so they are clean."
He held Billy's hand, and lead him over to the other door, opening it. "This is...uh...was my room." It still felt like his.
The room was a warm yellow with posters of places around the world, and a few track stars from the Olympics, along with a small chart of famous races. "I was on track. Not on the first pick though. Wasn't fast enough." He said. "That's where Charonite found me. On the track field at Meadowview." He stepped in, leading Billy to his bed that was a navy blue with white and light blue stripes.
A stuffed animal of a tattered dog sat on top, and Ladon perked as he picked it up. "Elliot" He forgot he was here. The last time he saw him was......as a hallucination when tortured.
The room had a dresser, pictures of family, and a few jackets over a chair at a desk. A Meadowview Uniform hung on a hanger on the closet door ready to be worn from when Ladon still attended. A shelf had a few books and there was a globe that also could be turned on at night to make constellations at night.
"Feels weird being here." He said, sitting on the bed as he held the stuffed animal. "Not bad. Just...weird."

Billy had to keep mentally smacking himself to keep from being inappropriate. There was no denying he was a very sexually-charged individual - hence the constant lewed comments or jokes. Though he never wanted Ladon to think that was all he cared about, even if it was obvious that Billy loved him more than just for the purpose of personal gratification. After all, you don't go risking your life for someone who was just an object of pleasure, right? Because Ladon was, indeed, the cheese to his cheeseburger.
Damn that was a horrible comparison... It seemed he hadn't forgotten everything from his drug-induced stupor.
Billy sat beside Ladon in the edge of the bed, kinda just looking around idly. He wouldn't have thought of Ladon as the kind of person to do track. He always pictured tall, lanky, long-legged pretty-boys or athlete-chicks when he thought of track. Then again, he didn't pay much attention to any sort of sport.
The stuffed animal was less of a surprise.
All in all Billy really couldn't find much to say, and he wondered if that made him seem like a kinda sucky boyfriend right then. After all, it wasn't that he wasn't interested in Ladon's life growing up...

Ladon leaned back, staring up at the ceiling and feeling warm again, but that was probably due to the fever that he was fighting with antibiotics, but he could tell it was probably going to be a bad one. He could feel how worn out he was, but at least here he felt safe. Here at home with Billy.
He turned, looking at Billy remain quiet. It wasn't like him. Reaching out, he touched his arm and then sat up to look at him. "Ya know....my mom isn't home." They had been in the hospital with little privacy for a few days now.
He brought his hand down to hold Billy's. "Never did repay you back for saving my life.........again." He squeezed his hand. "I thought I would have lost you."

"Normally...I'd take you up on the offer but... I'm starting to think this addiction of mine...I gotta do something about it." Like not leaping at every opportunity..actually trying not to be such a poverted lecher. Finding new means of humor. "YOu can pay me back by not putting yourself in those situations."

He removed his hand and set the plushie aside. "I can't really avoid near-death situations. It's part of our job, Billy." He reminded him in a bit more stern of voice.
"I didn't predict he'd resort to a noose. Usually they do magic only and I had predicted the flowers." Just not the vines. "******** is still pissed that he tried saving a senshi that was already good as dead. I nearly had him too. The last time he barely escaped and he was bleeding out the second." He gripped the blanket under him thinking about it. "One good cut and he would have hit the asphalt like an egg."
He gritted his teeth. "He's dead next time."

"All I'm asking is that you fight smarter. Don't make assumptions about your opponents, don't play with them. Just get rid of them. Don't give them the opportunity to come back later and trap you. No chatter, no mercy. Think of them as less than the toilet paper you wipe your a** with - no use, just trash that needs to be gotten rid of. Trash that, if not disposed of immediately, can come back and kill you, and those your care about." Crude, but that was Billy. Crude. He then leaned back, staring at the ceiling, and muttered, "Assumptions are as good as death sentences." One could not afford to gamble when they had so much to loose in this war. Taking chances...well it wasn't something he did anymore. There had been a time when he'd share banter with an opponent, try to lull them over, coerce them, but not anymore. The thought of what he could lose if he didn't win the game was such a cold, sobering, fear that any inclination to play games was swiftly swept away.

He sat up and instantly regretted the decision, his head swimming from the medication he was taking. Touching his brow, he looked sharply at Billy. "I WAS trying to kill him. I just talk while I kill. It's how you trick them into giving information. I may not be in that division if the Negaverse, but sometimes clamming up isn't always good. You act like I haven't been here this entire time. I just... It was a mistake, okay?" He didn't like being called out on stupid mistakes, but he wasn't overall sloppy.
"I have a lot if enemies, Billy. I've been here for a while. A lot I people want me dead. I know this. I also know letting anyone close could make me loose another eye, so I keep them away from me. I know to be paranoid about what might not be seen. It is how the DMC got me after all. I don't skip around just shining my energy signal around town. I'm nervous and paranoid that every time I go on a patrol, I might be taken again, and this time....this time Tanzanite won't be there to call out for help." He'd be gone in that hell if torture If that happened.
He dropped his hand in his lap and breathed out. "Worst of all, if that happens, is thinking I'd never see you again. It's what I thought back at the river. That even if I was gone, I wouldn't be happy if you found someone else. I'd just want to come back as a ghost and murder anyone who tried to be with you." He looked up at Billy, feeling both embarrassed and guilty for that selfish thought. "Even I dead, I'd want you all to myself."
