Safe Haven, this area of Shard City much alike an Elven village, where buildings are made, if not carved from the exact trees that were growing there. Furniture was made from a creamy light wood and vines grow elegantly across much of the architecture. A ravine runs through the entire area where wooden bridges with lanterns that glow blue let people pass through easily. Safe Haven is mostly run by elves, and the area is mainly used for quiet reading and recovering.

I couldn't take it, couldn't stand another minute
Couldn't bear another day without you in it
All of the joy that I had known for all my life
Was stripped away from me the minute that you died

Walking through the countless bushes and ravines, across a few bridges and passing some creamy-wooden or even stone buildings, all of them were open to let air run through them, walls being incomplete or without glassed windows. Mainly columns kept them up. Alexis had her staff folded up be her side, her dress clean and draping down her body. Then, coming to one heavenly building she happened upon a white curtain, which she pulled to one side as she slid beneath it and stood into the room that Ruby was recovering. With just a few hours the elves had cleaned them up and Ruby's wounds were clean and healing, much of the pain easing.

The room was very clean, almost bright with the fresh air and sunlight coming in from outside, but the earlier nights these days were still making the room have a slight gloom about it. Ruby was resting in a white linen bed, carved from the same wood as the rest of the building and its furniture. As she swooped in she stood over Ruby and sat down on a chair next to her. There was one nice thing about Safe Haven, it was nothing like a normal infirmary or a hospital, there wasn't that close-off feeling, it didn't even feel like you were being treated for an illness or anything - it felt homely. Alexis anxiously waited .

Blue like violets
Fills my head with dreams and finds me
Always closer
to the emptiness and sadness
that has come to take the place of you

I wasn't dreaming when they told me you were gone
I was wide awake and feeling that they had to be wrong
How could you leave me when you swore that you would stay
But I'll make you proud and know that I'm okay every single f'ing day

The smell in the air and change of atmosphere had shifted in Ruby's unconscious state. She no longer smelt blood or the nearby ocean air of the beach. The girl felt as light as a feather, and wanted to continue sleeping her in conformable state forever. However, she knew she couldn't leave Alexis behind. Her eyes final opened and she lifted the upper half of her body to get a better view of their current location. For the first ever, she woke up in a bed that felt like a cloud. Usually she would become unconformable and convert to the floor, but not this time.

Ruby glanced down at her body to see that her wounds were no longer visible. Instead of her regular clothes, she was dressed in a beautiful beige colored dress. The sleeves were puffed out at the shoulder, but then the cloth clung close to her arm all the way down to the wrist. Golden armor in elaborate patterns covered the outside of the sleeves and made a crown shape around the puff part. A golden corset that buttoned together in the front fit snugly around her torso, however, the corset was actually light weighed armor. Pulling off the white cotton sheets, she was able to examine the rest of her clothing. The dress/shirt part only traveled down to her knees, and her from her knees down to her feet, she had on golden armored boots. The albino felt like a princess in her new attire. She had been used to wearing the same faded, ripped, stretched, and dented silver armored outfit for years. Her weapons laid neatly on the a table near the edge of the bed. She was even presented with a golden holster belt.

A smile formed as she turned to Alexis sitting next to her. Ruby then realized the fight before and had no idea what to say to her friend except, "I'm sorry." The girl frowned as she turned her head away. She only wished she could do more for the female that helped her out so much.

Ruby looked stunning in her new attire, the elves here treated everyone very well. Though Ruby didn't seem to be able to enjoy such delicacies, for when she woke up all she seemed to think about was the burdens she had to carry, the information she delivered to Alexis. But she smiled and said "don't worry, really. I've survived for half my life not knowing the truth, and now i do. I guess you could say im happy with that" she then placed a hand on Ruby's shoulder. "OH!" she then remembered suddenly! Without a moment her hand leaped from Ruby's shoulder as she fumbled around for her Arcaz Device. Swiping away some of the already read texts between her buddies she searched for a picture. "aha!" she admitted as she finally found what she wanted. "here" she said, as she held out her phone-of-sorts. The image became 3-D as it became a hologram above the device's screen. It revealed the image of a blue police box from 20th century England.

"This appeared outside the city borders of Entei, in the Enchanted Woods. And guess what" she paused for just a brief moment. "Professor Magus-Bane wants us to investigated it, and better yet, as soon as Laxion gets here and you're all recovered we can use a portal. He let me take a Returning Scroll. They take the users back to the place that they were made. Not that we need it, though.... we could just use our rings i guess... but still... It's a freaking Returning Scroll! No one will believe this" she seemed to get more and more excited the more she spoke.

Ruby was surprised that Alexis was in fact okay with the news of her father's death. She assumed it was better than her father being announced as MIA, and wondering for days and night whether he had survived. She wished she didn't have to be the one to tell her such a tragic event, but at least now she knew her father is in a better place. Alexis quickly changed the subject to a new assignment that had been bestowed upon all of them. The female grabbed for her communication device and produced to bring up a holographic image of a blue police box. Ruby tilled her head in confusion as she stared at the picture while listening to Alexis talk. Ruby didn't want to question her friend because she knew the two had been through enough today.

The albino smiled and decided take up the mission with her excited companion. "Laxion better get here soon then or else this adventure may pass us by." Ruby inched to the edge of her bed and stood up. She caught herself before she lost balance. "I got a little dizzy. I must have stood up to quickly."She giggled knowing she needs to pace herself.

Ruby seemed as though she was in on it! And when she stood up it made Alexis wonder if she really would be okay yet, and even after a short stumble, which Alexis almost tried to stop, she seemed okay. Reclaiming her own excitement though she was about ready to reply before a familiar voice spoke up from behind the curtain "Hey, im here, calm down" as the curtain was lifted. From it came Laxion, he was in his usual attire, but even though it was military... it was designed from his own fae descent. The Fae.. they knew how to dress in fitting gear whilst still making it protective and fluent. Just not as elaborate as the elves.

"woh" he said, looking at Ruby. "these elves are selfless aren't they" he then added. "Laxion!" then quickly said Alexis, as she grabbed his arms.
"woh, woh, what?"
"We have a new quest... Professor Magus-Bane gave it to us"
"What.. you mean you're head master? Isn't he like... too old for everything now?" Laxion still seemed to talk seriously, but Alexis was still excited. "yes, i mean, no, but back to the point. He wants us to investigate an unidentified box in the Enchanted Woods! Look" she then proceeded to do the same as she did to Ruby earlier. "He wants us... to look at a box?"
"A mystery box! And apparently two people are inside, which means we need to hurry"
"uh..."

Ruby reassured Alexis that she was fine she just had to take it easy for a little while, however, walking around and investigating shouldn't be to strenuous. Laxion's voice caught the female's attention as he lifted the curtain making an exaggerated entrance as usual. Laxion commented on her new attire and she couldn't help but blush slightly. "They are wonderful." She said as she made a mental note to thank them before she left. Ruby giggled as Alexis attached herself to him expressing her excitement for the mission.

As Alexis explained the mission, Ruby prepared herself by placing her new golden holsters around her waist. They fit like a glove and so did the guns she placed inside them. Her outfit may have changed, but she wouldn't traded her weapon in for all the golden in the world. Ruby leaned her body outside the curtains that concealed the private area and thanked all the elves. They had no time to waste and she wasn't able to thank them all individually, but she made sure that they knew she was grateful for all their care.

The albino made her way over to the others and held out her ring. She smiled at Laxion and said, "Just go with it. What's the worse that can happen?" Little did Ruby know, the worse was yet to come.

(Sorry I took so long to reply. I'm so ready for this plot!)

"I- i guess, but i mean, we don't know what we're dealing with here" Laxion protested slightly, gazing over his shoulder as Ruby rushed passed to swing by outdoors. Looked like she was speaking to the elves. Looking back at Alexis the blonde put a hand on her hip and said "What happened to your sense of adventure?". But Laxion could only think to himself and quietly say "There's something wrong with the air, the pressure in the skies, its not natural. "
"Well whatever it is, we'll be with the best wizards in Magic Earth, they can just make a giant dome above our heads, okay?"
"Okay" he said with short smile. "Let's do this!"

And then Ruby came back into the room and took out her ring, Alexis then realised using the scroll for later would be a better idea. As for Ruby's comment, Laxion didn't like to think about it, the changes in air pressure could only mean bad storms and they seemed to be moving east... towards Entei. Laxion and Alexis then removed their rings and formed the hologram. Laxion raised a brow though at the image, he could see golden clouds forming above the giant orb that usually appears. "Uhm, is that normally there?" he asked, trying to press them with his finger, but they didn't react to him, his finger just passed right through them. Alexis then spoke up after looking between the other two. "Not normally" she then placed a finger on her lip. "But it doesn't seem to do anything so we might as well leave it for now" she then proceeded to pressed the orb and change the dials to align with the Enchanted Woods. "let's go"

Alexis then pressed the orb, and as its golden fabrics rippled and pulled them all into a swirling madness the three vanished from sight. After they had done however, one elf came into the room just moments too late, following by another who said "We're too late, Aer'diné" she replied with "Well, they'll find out soon enough."
"But they ought to know, the weathermancers that stopped the last invasion from the Underworld in the City of Crows won't be able to help them at the Enchanted Woods!"
"Well... it is up to them to stop it, they stopped a Greater Demon, who's to say that can't stop a Fallen Angel"
"The patterns that suggest the same is going to happen there says exactly that..."
