Natron was tired. Exhausted, really - it had been a very, very long evening. He had Persephone settled at his apartment, fiddling around with his PS3 (after he'd disconnected the wifi from it, because she did not need to end up playing online), and she seemed quite content. But there was someone he had to talk to.
Probably the worst moment of the night had been about three-quarters of the way home, when Persephone had gently tugged on his sleeve and asked if he knew her name. She had forgotten her civilian identity - and he knew she would have to pick a new one, so he had told her to think on that.
Cait was gone, and he had brought her to Zinkenite, which made it kind of his fault. And he had to at least tell Lance, if no one else. So he had teleported over to his friend's apartment and then powered down.
"Lance?"

Surprisingly, that night, the boys were home. Sprawled on the couch, Lance was reading some book while he idly pet Alistair's hair. The brunette was currently using his leg as a pillow, curled up beside him, using the blonde's blue and black checkered button up as a blanket. Blinking at his name, he looked up to find Gabriel hanging about the door way. "Hey." He said quietly, trying not to disturb his sleeping boyfriend. "What's up?" Taking note of his friends appearance, he raised a brow. "Are you alright? You look like hell. ....Did you and Des get into a fight?"

Gabriel blinked. He knew he had to look tired, ragged even - making the call to the warehouse, fighting, and teleporting had all taken quite a lot out of him - but it wasn't until Lance said something that he realized he felt like hell too. He was sore and probably bruised and definitely steam-scalded and all of that sucked on top of being emotionally and physically exhausted.
"No, not me and Des..." He kept his voice down as well, because waking up Alistair was not something he wanted to do. "Negaverse s**t," he said, which was a good opener. " I- Lance, do you remember how I said I didn't know if Cait was involved in all this or not?"

"Then what? ..Oh." Well that was understandable. He himself knew how crazy their hours could - ...Oh. Lance just blinked, his ministrations on Ali's hair slowly before stopping all together. Well that wasn't a good conversation starter. Carefully Lance pulled himself out from under Alistair, ducking down low and murmuring a quiet shh when Alistair stirred slightly. "I'll be right back, go back to sleep." He said as he tucked the shirt tighter around Ali before stepping away from the couch and towards his other friend. He said nothing, just ushered Gabriel back out the door.

Gabriel frowned when Lance ushered him out. "A hallway might not...be ideal for this..." He said, his voice soft, and the. He sighed. He had to bite the bullet and own up. "Lance, she was one of them. A White Moon Senshi." He swallowed. How the hell did he confess to the rest?

"So then keep moving till we're not in a hall way. Where else should we go?" Lance asked. The blonde raised a brow. How would Gabriel know that. It made no sense. He watched as Gabriel swallowed and twitched nervously. While this was normal for Gabriel to a certain level, to be doing it with himself was all wrong. The two had known each other all throughout their life. There was no reason for Gabriel to be acting like this. The only time Gabriel did act like this was when.... The blondes eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"What did you do."

Gabriel started backing up towards the door to the complex, feeling his heart twist up in his chest. Lance was going to murder him and he would deserve it, because oh godhe had ******** up badly. He swallowed. "I found her, as a Senshi, and she told me who she was and she...asked me to call Zinkenite. The General-King. She wanted him to bring her over." he ran a hand through his hair. "I did. And part of the price of - of joining the Negaverse, for the ones that cross from the White Moon, is some of their memories. She doesn't...remember being Cait."

"And you let her?!" Lance hissed as he advanced on his friend. The blonde stopped, his eyes narrowing even more if that was even possible. "What do you mean she doesn't remember being Cait. She is Cait Gabriel." He was getting progressively louder, Gabriel was right. A hallway was not the best place to be.

"Judge me all you want, Lance, you weren't there. You didn't see her." Gabriel said, his voice still low. "She was covered in blood and crying and she begged me. If I hadn't, I don't know what she might've done." He hated to think of her crossing an officer who might not want to talk first, or harming herself...
He closed his eyes. "I mean exactly what I said. She remembers being a Senshi, being Sailor Persephone, but she has no memories of her life as Cait. She doesn't even know that's her name anymore."

"What happened. Why was she covered in blood." Was it hers? God help Gabriel if it was hers. "Gabriel she's practically your sister!" Then his voice dropped to a quiet hiss. "It doesn't work that way with us. We don't forget. Lines are just blurred." How could she not reme- "..Persephone?" The blonde blinked. "...She was Persephone?"

Gabriel laughed flatly. "That's my fault too, actually," he said. "It's not hers - I was patrolling and I found a team of Senshi all gathered in one place. I called in an ambush because I'm a ******** soldier and you eliminate the enemy where you find them. If I'd known she was there - if I'd had a goddamn inkling that Cait was a White Moon senshi - I would've shipped her off to your Court because Dark Mirrors don't lose memories so she'd still be Cait but she'd be on the right side." That was all he'd wanted. His friends either safe or Chaos.
He'd got it, he supposed.
"Anyway, one of the Generals that responded to my call made a damn show out of killing a Senshi there. It was that girl's, not hers." At least that was what Persephone had told Zinkenite, and she didn't exactly have a reason to lie. "Yes, she was Persephone, what ******** difference does that make?"

"And yet, when she begged you all you did was hand her over to Zinkenite. Did you even TRY to convince her? Because I sure as hell didn't get a call for help." Not that he could do much at Super, but given who was involved... Lance just hissed. He knew how attached Cait got to people. And how quickly it happened too. If something had happened, Cait would be a mess.
"Because I knew her you a*****e." Lance growled as he grabbed Gabriel by the collar and finished dragging him outside before shoving him. "I'd met her on a number of occasions. Me, not him." Came the hiss.

"I don't know what the hell would've happened if I'd talked her into the Dark Mirror! She asked for Zinkenite by name, and when he showed up he knew hers, for all I know he's been talking to her for months trying to bring her over."
He yelped a little - Lance had never been this angry at him, had never actually gotten this violently physical with him. "I didn't ******** know you knew her! You didn't tell me you'd been making friends with Order Senshi!" His eyes narrowed a little.

"First of all you little s**t, I met her before I was one and even knew about this s**t so don't go accusing me of making friends with the enemy. There was a youma and a talking cat and it was all VERY confusing at the time so <******** you. I'm not about to turn around and kill her after she saved me just cause she wears a different ******** color."

Gabriel hissed. "I wasn't telling you to ******** kill her, I know half the Court's goal is conversion - just, if I knew you ******** knew her, I would've told her about you and maybe she would've reconsidered!" Maybe not. He wondered, somewhat, if she wanted to forget. "She knew the consequences going in. And when it was over, she was an Eternal and - she was happy. Hate me all you want, Lance, but you should at least meet her. If you knew Persephone, she'll remember you."
