I've been on the exchange a lot lately and I was noticing a lot of people named muley.[insert number]. I found out they were a part of an exchanging contest where it's ongoing and the players try to get as much money as possible with a starting amount of gold and without donations, etc.
I was thinking maybe it would be a cool idea to have an exchange contest here but maybe on a smaller scale. The money that gets raised could go some [most] towards the well's wishes and some toward the winner of the contest.
I don't know, it kind of seems like a cool idea. ^^;;
Even if the total gold was donated to the well I'm sure there would be people here who would play.
Thoughts?

I kind of like the idea, though I don't really use mules. it gets hard and complicated to try and keep up...
or we could set aside some kind of goal where everyone donates at maybe 100 gold a week or more...
something not too hard. Like Spammy's post says if there are 100 active members and we all donate 100 gold that's 10k right there.

This reminds me of a Baby Shower game where a group puts as much money as they wanted in a hat, and someone wraps up a box with paper and butt load lot of tape. And then you pick a number on a dice, and the group goes around rolling the dice until you roll that number, then you put on heavy utility gloves and try to unwrap that box until some else from the group rolls the special number. Then you gotta pass it. The winner gets half the money in the hat and gives the other half to the person having the baby.

omg. @__@ Unwrapping objects. I had a 5 lb bag of gummy bears given to me on my birthday... layers and layers of newspaper, packaging tape, ducted tape, wrapping paper.. Ended up using scissors to cut it up. >>

Oooh, I almost entered one of those, last year. But Alexi_Jameson was competing, so I decided not to.

Sounds great. Each account would start off with, say, 5K, and the user who raises the most gold in a month is the winner?
But where do we get te 5K's, and what does the winner get?

Hrm. =/ Some good points there.
Well, maybe everybody that joined in could supply the 5k as the starting fee for their mule person. Then at the end the 5k can be returned so that everybody gets their original money back.
It could just be for fun, and maybe depending on the winnings some can be split up among everybody equally, and the rest go to the wishing well fund.
That way, there's just friendly competition, but nobody's going to get pissed if they don't win. ^^ This can also make it more fair for those who haven't exchanged much or aren't the best with marketplace deals.

it could be like a lotto...
say a 50k lotto, 10 spots, 5k a piece, anyone can enter, and the winner splits the winnings with the wishing well?
it'd be fun, and beneficial to everyone. whee
