✿ Appearance:
Scrawny and dirty, probably the only notable thing about this kid is his height; he's a little tall for his age, but all it really manages to do is make him look disproportionate and skinny. Still, it is a wonder that he managed his stature for being a malnourished orphan! At the very least, this allows his build to be slender and lithe, which certainly makes (dare he say) stealing a lot easier when he's forced to it. Aside from his build, Luke sports a mess of short brown hair, hazel eyes, and what would be fair skin if it wasn't covered in a constant layer of dirt and dust. Seriously kid, it's hard to tell if his freckles are genuine or just dirt smudges. If anything, Plumeria tries to keep him well groomed, but her efforts often go to waste.
❀ PERSONALITY
Luke is nothing if not honest. A bit of a crybaby, he honestly hates being unlawful and feels bad when he has to steal food for himself or the like. While his guardian doesn't have much of a problem with such behavior (and in fact, encourages it), he tries his best to make his way around with some sense of integrity, though it doesn't always work out being that he's an orphan out on the streets and ten years old. Regardless, he'd jump on just about any opportunity presented if it means honest cash. That being said, Luke is also somewhat stubborn and... almost a little too selfless. He feels a need to earn things, and while he is grateful when given things, he usually feels bad about it. This leads him to reject help, which constantly puts him in a sort of struggle, which infuriates his guardian to absolutely no end.
Still, it's not too terribly hard to convince Luke to join in on some kind of mischief (so long as no one gets hurt!). He's still a child at heart, with most of his 'maturity' stemming from years with an abusive father. He was just forced to make due with the hand he'd been dealt, see? Rough housing and games are still a stable part of his childhood diet, he just simply knows when to be serious. At the very least, he's good at making himself a scapegoat to get his friends out of trouble.
❀ HISTORY
✿ In the past...
Luke lived with both of his parents up until the age of 5. That is, his mother fell ill with pneumonia the winter he'd turn 6 and unfortunately passed. This resulted in his father falling into a sort of depression, and while he still cared for his now motherless son, he also treated him coldly 'the world treats everyone coldly, son'. As the years went on, his father grew more and more distant, turning to other vices to try and cover up the pain of a severed family, which often led to a number of neglect and abuse on his son. Luke, now 10, decided to run away from home to try and escape the life that he'd grown to hate. As far as he's concerned, it's important to stay optimistic. He's still young and there's still a whole world out there, provided that he can survive long enough to make it to that point.
✿ Recently:
Roaming the streets used to be pretty bleak and bad, but they've gotten substantially better if you ask him! First because of his induction into the local 'orphan gang', and second (though he'd be slow to admit it) because of his new status as a chosen. It might still be a little strange to have a deer lugging around wherever he seems to go, especially one that seems to have so many differences in terms of personality, but he has to admit privately to himself that it's a nice feeling, being chosen by something. For as much as they don't get along, he still values Plumeria as irreplaceable; having her now, being without Plums would only be an indescribable loneliness that couldn't ever be filled.

❀ THE GUARDIAN ✿ Name: Plumeria ✿ Gender: Female ✿ OOC Stage: Doe ✿ IC Stage: Fawn ❀ PERSONALITY
Stubborn and demanding, Plumeria is a doe who knows what she wants and when she wants it. She's bark and bite, totally fearless, and not afraid to make her complaints known (much to the dismay of her already struggling chosen). Regardless of her high maintenance personality, Luke does love her unconditionally, and Plumeria, despite being fed up and annoyed with her chosen, does love him unconditionally back. Plums makes do with what she's given, or what she's chosen, rather, though that just plays in with her stubborn disposition. Aside from that, Plumeria does exhibit loyalty to those that she deems it, however it's much harder to gain her respect. As a result, Plumeria can be fairly insufferable to everyone around her, demanding things that she doesn't often give back.
❀ WITH LUKE
This kid.
She sought him out on her own, of course. Here was a scruffy boy who'd just run away from his pops, terrified and alone and worrying about the approaching winter. Well, there's only one way to survive in the real world, kid, and that's to toughen up and and do whatever it is you gotta do, no matter what. Of course, Luke refuses and tries to pander about spouting things about honesty and integrity and kid that isn't going to fly at the moment. Deep down, Plumeria does have her chosen's best intentions at heart. The only thing is that her personality causes her to see other ways to obtain these intentions; life ain't fair, kid, so why should you? Her chosen's attitude can drive her crazy (In fact it does most of the time), though in return her attitude drives Luke crazy, too! Mostly she's just concerned for his well being, and believes that he needs to do whatever he can to preserve that. The world ain't got time for honesty, stealing dinner isn't going to make you a sinner, standing up for yourself builds character who cares. If the world won't stop for you, make it. And if Luke doesn't do it? Plumeria will.
