Al was sure that had to be the real Rep on twitter. Like, really real. But he was scared of exactly what that might have entailed. Was he just a head in a jar now hooked up to some twitter machine? Visions of Futurama filled his mind and forced him to frown deeply with concern. He rapped his knuckles against the door rapidly. ********, he had to know okay.

Rep heard the door knocked and sighed heavily on his spot on the bed which was inexplicably still magic ******** fruit cake. "It's open." he said grimly. It would have been locked, but that didn't seem to make any difference to the people who Rep really ******** wanted to keep out of his room and his life.

Hearing the familiar voice made Al's heart skip. It was Rep, he really was still ********! He opened the door with a slow creek, just enough to fit his body as he slipped inside and closed the door behind himself.
His back was turned as he tried to muster all his courage to face Rep and what has become of him. Part of him still expected the absolute worst. Like, what if it was a doppelganger hoping to kill and eat all of Rep's friends? Oh well. Life was nice-ish. Sorta.

Rep was still a mess, wrapped in bandages and slowly mending, surrounded by a nest of blankets and pillows. He sat up very carefully when Al edged in, pulling the sheets up to just below where the bandages stopped, giving the other hunter a long slow look.
"I appreciate you visiting me in the pod." he said, eyeing Al's back.

Al seemed to startle by the words before spinning around. Okay, not a doppelganger or some evil clone. Good - oh. He looked beat up and in fairly piss poor shape. It wasn't fun seeing your idol so battered and bruised but still... Al's mind kept churning. This was how he looked after having his chest torn wide open and left that way for an extended period? Strong a** ********, that's for sure.
"O-oh, you saw that?" He approached finally, his eyes lowered just a bit as he went over the visits like a guilty child caught red handed and making absolutely certain anything incriminating could be explained away. ******** uh. I had something in my eye and s**t," he explained suddenly and without prompting.

Rep smirked toothily at Al from where he sat. "You are allowed to cry when it's the passing of someone like me you are mourning. One of a ******** kind and all that. Fortunately I didn't feel like dying right then, so here I am. I've met Death before you know. The real Death. He gave me a bar of chocolate and it was probably the best chocolate I've ever had. But I wasn't going with him this time, no over some scuffle." It felt good to lie again, to have someone who would actually believe the things he wished he could convince himself to. "But aye, I could see everything in that damn pod, I saw the people who came to see me and their loyalty will not be forgotten."
He gave Al that same, measured and staring blue stare he gave to everyone when the cogs in his head were whirring.
"I also met your little friend Noah."

Al looked somewhat relieved. Good, not in trouble for that little display of... erm... unmanliness. Then Rep was talking about Death and Al decided not to point out that he was there and met Death too.... yeah.... best Rep has that title all to himself.
Al had settled into a calm grateful smile when the name suddenly a certain little name crossed Rep's lips. It had clearly shaken him and part of him wanted to deny it outright. But this was Rep. Not only Rep, but a Rep who clearly knew.
"You... uh.... did?" he hazarded carefully.

Rep spotted the way Al reacted to the mention of Noah and narrowed his eyes slightly. It was one thing if his response had been open and relaxed, but instead he could see the immediate tension in the other hunter. "Aye. I sparred him. He seems pretty decent." He raised a brow at Al. "Better friend than the people I warned you off of."

And then like that Al's entire body seemed to ease a sigh of relief, "So like... he's okay then? Not like. Um." He held his hands up and moved them to form the shape of a womans curves - one that clearly got back.
He whispered, "Candace?" He looked concerned.

"Aye. Better than Candace. As long as he doesn't start leading you into trouble and s**t, because then he would be a problem. For the time being he's all right. You always want to have people at your back you can trust, but you need to make sure you can ******** trust him. You are a good kid and s**t, but you trust too easy. Make sure he's no using you." He didn't actually think Noah had the brain power to be using Al at all but it never hurt to lay doubt as the groundwork.
He raised a brow. "For instance, is he ok with you placing me above all else, even if he is on the line in the decision?"

"I'm the one that led him into trouble... so.. um," might as well fess up outright to that incident right now. He looked worried about the possibility that he might be being used however when it was brought up. "How can I tell if he's up to no good?" It was an honest question.
Then Rep sort of answered for him... and he just... looked worried, "I dunno. I didn't think to ask." He frowned deeply, "Sorry, I'll ask."
