The wind whipped through the trees and shook the three tiny wicker baskets that were pressed up against his shivering side. Small drops of rain dripped from the heavy tree branches that were sheltering the small baskets and the purple stallion. It was a dreary day for such a wondrous occasion. Zhulik was a father - something he hadn’t thought would be possible in his lifetime. Having children had never been a part of his plans… but the idea suddenly seemed… well - right. He smiled softly at the small bundles and curled around them to protect them from the chill. Adara had gone off to stretch her legs, so he had time to admire their creations. He wondered what they would look like. If they would have his eyes, Adara's hair, or maybe the opposite. No matter what they came out looking like, he would love them unconditionally.

Zhulik would be the best father that he could possibly be. He had been the child of absent parents, and it had caused him to grow up to be cold, distant, and, at times, malicious. But Adara had changed him for the better. He was still struggling with his inner demons, but the three bright rays of hope at his side squashed them for the time being. He would do right by his children. He would care for them, teach them, and guide them on a brighter path than he ever had.

The wind howled angrily around Zhulik, and he shivered once more. He'd have to speak to Adara about finding a better shelter from the elements when she got back.
