Eyphah had been able to take down one of the Gaili dragons that he was chasing after but he didn't feel as though it was enough. If he was going to prove himself, if he was going to feel better, if he was going to return to his clan feeling strong enough to face them he would need to do more then just that. He would need to continue the hunt, chase down the remaining four Gaili, and take their orbs as well. He would have them all before the sun set, that much he vowed. He would take the five orbs and he would bring them back home with him, and he would prove that he was worthy of the gift of being a Drakeinian he thought to himself. It was a great thing, a big deal, and once he had proved himself against the earth based dragons then he would feel much better about using that power once more.

Until then it was best that he remain as a Drakein... not to mention the fact that shifting at the moment would cause more pain then it was worth. He didn't want to deal with that particular pain, nor didn't he want to completely exhaust himself, instead he felt that he would be far better off just continuing forward in this form. He'd have his opportunity to battle again dragons, lots of them, in his more majestic Drakeinian form soon enough, he'd see to it. Not only in battle but he would also be able to show it off to Tallulah, to his his mother, and the rest of his clan proudly. But to be able to be proud he would first have to prove himself to himself, something that he felt he really could do!

With all of these thoughts in mind he happily followed the trail that the Gaili were so kindly leaving behind for him. He really was pleased with the amount of damage that he had done to them, especially given how out numbered he'd been. It made following them rather easy, enough so that he felt that even a little keinling fresh out of the egg would be able to follow them without any issue. Not that it was something that he suggested that a little one did of course he thought to himself. No, they could leave such things to him he decided a bit arrogantly as he climbed a blood splattered dune, looking down at the group of Gaili once more. It seemed from the way their sides were heaving that they were feeling just as exhausted as he was, as such he was able to catch up with them a whole lot faster this time around. Now that he had found them again the battle was about to start anew, something he was actually excited for since he really wanted to wipe them out and claim his treasure.

Opening his mouth Eyphah gave a great roar, wings opening wide, doing his best to look extra large and extra intimidating before he was lunging forward toward them again. It would seem that they decided not to flee this time around though, it would appear as if they had decided that it was time to try to stand up to the Drakein that was dogging their steps. It was something that was fine with Eyphah, he was far too tired to keep chasing them in between each of the battles. As he ran the ground started to rumble under his feet as the Gaili fell back on their magic to try to fend him off. It was something that had him hissing a bit as he was forced to lunge from side to side, avoiding the attacks. They were pulling out all of the stops in their attempt to finish him off, something that actually pleased him to a great degree. They were standing up against him, using their magics, doing everything that they could to try to finish him off or chase him off, it meant that they were running out of steam just as Eyphah was. It meant that he just had to come out on top this time around, he wouldn't fail this time!

As one of their spells summoned forth a pillar of earth, shooting it up out of the ground, Eyphah was quick to jump onto it. He was soon riding it up into the air, up above the Gaili, and from there he jumped down onto the back of one of the closest Gaili. The moment he landed on the dragon the scythe on the end of his tail was burying itself repeatedly into the Gaili's back, striking deep. Some of the blows bounced off, some made shallow wounds, and finally he was able to land a pair of consecutive blows to the dragon's spinal cord. The howl that came from the dragon was one that gave Eyphah pleasant shivers as he he knew the blow had severed the creature's spinal cord as well as its life.

As it started to crumbled away he jumped off, landing on the ground next to it. A moment after he landed the dragon's orb, his property of Eyphah, hit the ground. As tempted as he was though he didn't give it his attention, not yet, he had three more dragons that he had to deal with after all. His prizes would have to wait for him until he was able to deal with these dragons accordingly. Dragging in a deep breath into his lungs the Diabi charged forward toward the next closest Gaili, avoiding a couple more of their spells, though just barely. The moment he closed the distance between him and the dragon he decided to take a page out of Tallulah's book. He'd use the Merkein's favorite attack he thought to himself as he threw himself into the air so that he could snap his jaws down on the Gaili's throat, teeth sinking deep into the dragon's flesh, before he set to thrashing his whole body as he hung there. There was a tearing sound, a fountain of blood, and that Gaili was falling as well. The Diabi watched for a moment before swallowing the chunk of dragon flesh in his jaws, purring as he did so.

There was always something so exhilarating about getting even just a taste of dragon he thought to himself, tail lashing behind him, as he looked toward the remaining dragons. As he gave the remaining two a once over he couldn't help but to wonder what it was that they were going to do next. Would they try to flee again? Would they cause the hunt to start all over again? Would they act like real warriors and fight it out to the end against him in hopes of at least one of them making it out alive?

Much to his shock, awe, and delight it would appear as though they were holding their ground. They must know that it wasn't going to end until one side or the other was dead, in knowing this they no longer saw a reason to try to out run the aggressive Diabi. They were all exhausted, all wounded, all unable to fly at the moment, and as such there was only one thing left to do, that being to continue the fight.
