All of Amityville shook and t hen grew silent. From the tips of the snow-covered gnarled trees appeared a figure, a colossal figure in bright red. As he walked, the earth shook, as he stepped, presents, candycanes and snow globes appeared out of nowhere. It began to snow heavier as all around him an entourage of elves, reindeer and snowmen hastily cleared the path for him.
Santa Claus had come to Halloween.
Well, Amityville, to be exact. And, he wasn't exactly a jolly fellow, more like a giant, colossal bearded man in thick black boots.
Amityville shook as he neared closer, and then he stopped right in front of the gates, mostly because he was too large to actually fit through the gates, and beckoned for his reindeer and elves. They produced from the forest a giant oak throne, a great throne of ice and snow... and Joy. He sat on the throne, surveyed his surroundings and then from his hearty chest he bellowed in a booming voice:
"HO HO HO." This part was sort of confusing to anyone who was part of Halloween. "HAVE YOU BEEN GOOD LITTLE GIRLS AND BOYS OR NAUGHTY ONES? ON WITH YOU, ON MY LAP, THE GOOD SHALL RECEIVE PRESENTS AND THE NAUGHTY ONLY COAL."SANTA CLAUS HAS COME TO TOWN ALL STUDENTS/ HORSEMEN:- You may climb on Santa's lap once per day. This resets at ooc time 11:59 PM PST - Your character must ICly brave the trek and climb 25 feet of boots and legs to get to Santa's lap. Mathias was not one to shy away from a challenge, and climbing Santa's lap was certainly a challenge! The little wolpertinger used his long black claws to aid him in his steady ascent, his wings beating in an attempt to keep himself balanced as on a couple of occasions he slipped and nearly fell.
But then he got there! He reached the top of his climb and he stood there, ready to tell Santa what it was that he wanted most!
But then he froze, staring up at that jolly face too high to even really see properly, feeling suddenly much more dwarfed and cowed then he ever had in his existence. All he could do was stare, mouth slightly agape, ears wilting to their sides, as he was handed a candy cane and told to be on his way.
+1 Joy Stamp~

Just who in Queen's name was this giant creature?? ... He was tall as any of the heirs in their true forms, if not taller, though the air he exuded was not one of FEAR, but ...
Joy?? ...
Kiwi's curiosity was piqued. And so with a little effort, he decided to confront this colossus and see for himself what Joy was truly made of. The horseman leapt, wings spanning as he made contact with the creature. One limb in front of the other, he pushed himself up, and up, and up, feeling the slippery weight of the being's 'hooves' give way to fur. He grasped for it, fingers sifting through the soft material, only to plummet backwards against the top of the peculiar creature once more.
A great bellow echoed somewhere above him, as a large parcel landed in the white snow. Was the elder figure congratulating him, or mocking?? he wondered, as he slid down to inspect the box.
It was strangely bright, covered in red paper with little green trees, and a ribbon that strangely smelt of the cookies from the class he had attended earlier. He tugged at the string, and the box came undone.
Inside, was a round, sooty black stone. It wasn't very joyous, much to Kiwi's relief, but neither was it very amazing either. Perhaps he could regift it to Medea, as a thank you for the sweater.

It was the thunderous HOHOHO that first caught the ghoul's attention. For a while, all she could see where two giant black boots in the distance until she figured that she had to look UP - ah, so this was the fabled Santa Claus from ChristmasTown.
A few of her schoolmates had taken to climbing up onto the giant's lap to push forth a request of sorts, and Edel figured that now was probably a good time to enquire about a student exchange trip to the land of joy. It took a while for her to scale the boots, but the ghoul did finally manage to eke out her request once she arrived, before getting pelted by snow and dragged away by the elves.
.... Was the lollipop a "yes, we'll consider it" note?

Simply had never seen anything that big. Well... yes she had, but not that close. And not that properly... imposing? Yea, he wasn't exactly... friendly looking, but he also didn't seem that scary? Not with the bright red and such. Hmmmn...
Still, this was Sandy Claws! She'd heard he was important, and well... she wanted to talk to him! So as soon as it was given the okay to go and meet this big ol' guy she was straight up to trying to climb up the throne to take part in this meet and greet. Sadly... it was a long way up.
She found herself clawing frantically at his boot and sliding down at times as she went, further and further and further up the shiny black surface seemed to reach. But eventually she found herself making it over the round surface of his shoes, slowly up the side as she flopped on the thing staring further up. Now the ghoul wasn't one to complain about her height, she didn't think she was short or anything... but... but...
"I've never felt so small..." She peered up at the distance face and rest of the shoe that was left. It seemed like a long way to go, but she could do it. It was just a tough surface for climbing. She was about to get up and start her climb when two oversized fingers seemed to draw closer to her and drop a box before her. One filled with...
Coal.
The ghoul could only stare at it before looking back up, then at the box that seemed almost as big as she was. Silence a moment longer before she suddenly brightened up. "A PRESENT!" So she was a good ghoul! Santa was praising he-
Wait... wait wait wait... how was she going to get this off his shoe? And thus began the long journey down for Simply. That wasn't so long, but more a matter of throwing a box off and leaping down after to go pick it all up. Hopefully it didn't land on any poor soul.Quote: Rolling a 4: You climb all the way to Santa's... you're not sure. Wow it seems like forever. Phew, it has to be forever right? San was in complete awe as he finally saw the man himself that this event was for; Santa Claus. It amazed him on how enormous he is as he swore that his family were the biggest ever, but he was dead wrong. Now he has to brave through the crowd and climb all the way up to sit on his lap which is . . . a little weird. Very. But he has no choice on the matter and has to do it.
Pushing through the crowd was a rather easy thing to do with his strength. The thing that is going to be a challenge is climbing all the way up to his lap. The demon stretched his arms as he began his climb right at the black boots in front of him. And then . . . he's still climbing! He was breathing heavy as his sharp nails dug into the boots as he climbs but it feels like he's getting nowhere fast at all and all he can see is just more of his boot. He then felt he was stared at and he looked up to see Santa himself. He saw the pity in his eyes and was given a gift. The gift of . . . coal? "What the hell am I going to do with this?"

It was a long climb, sure, but Amarus was not about to give up. In fact, despite how tall his boots were, she sort of rested for a moment on top of the fluffy bits. She had no idea what he could do to determine whether she was naughty or nice, but climbing up to the top was her way of challenging him: Go ahead, Santa, tell me what I'm worth.
Except he was significantly larger than she was, and she would probably not want to fight him. How would she even go about that? From her perch on his knee, she was extremely distracted trying to figure out how she could take him out. Maybe some ropes? No, he'd just tear through them.
Very disconcerting. She'd be happy when all the Joy was out of her life, and out of her home.
In the end, she forgot about the tell him what she wanted part of it, and as a result she received an extremely large candycane which she would then have to carry down again. "Well played, Santa," she said, quietly, darkly, before beginning her descent.
Maybe she could turn the candycane into a giant shiv.

To say that she had never been very trusting of anything involving JOY, was probably an understatement. But then she'd gone and died too many times to keep track and suffered all the glorious ordeals Amityville could come up with to toss their way. Having a massive red and white Santa show up?
Piece of cake.
Okay not really, LW felt extremely tiny and was definitely playing chicken about going near him. He was so Jacking huge! She opted to watch from the safety of the school while other students made their way towards the jolly fellow.
And then she was creeping steadily closer. And closer. Until she was one of the many gathering around Santa's large boots. Her nose wrinkled and the she-wolf swallowed around a knot in her throat.
Tail swishing, LW flexed her fingers and began the very interesting climb up Santa's boot and towards his lap. Where she just stood stupidly gaping up at the big man. Skulls! What should she say?! Had she even thought that far ahead?! LW couldn't even find her voice, wide violet eyes just blinking up at him. Maybe something in her face garnered her as a 'good girl'. Because she found herself scampering away with a giant candycane. Hell yes! She was one very happy she-wolf!

Ixel had no problem with the idea of climbing up to a Santa for gifts. BUT THE SATA WAS TOO BIG and as Ixel sat there, he felt creepily disturbed and forgot what he wanted.

It was way too cold to be out...
Even wrapped up in several layers with a fur-lined coat on top, N'Finity was beginning to feel over-dramatic. She was going to never thaw -- she was about to become a demon-sicle.
Okay, time to suck it up.
Climbing, without too much grace and taking comfort that she wasn't the only one hauling themselves up the boots -- she reached her destination with only a few slips and slides. Clinging to the great man himself, she panted and tried to relax and get a second wind.
"Excuse me? I'd like a new MP-Scream player!"
There, she had done it.... and now...
WHOOMP!
Swatted like a fly, sitting on her butt at the bottom of a boot.... Perhaps she had too greedy of a request?

Ok so he might not have had Jack for memories, but he was pretty sure the giant there wasn't a normal thing. Neithan was horribly, horribly tempted to see if he could get away with losing the skull pin for a little while and get at the thing. Seeing others actually seriously climb the thing though... after a while, he figured why not?
...it wasn't till he got about part way up the shoe that he actually began to cheat a bit and use his wings to help him out. And there he thought he was in good shape. He would be hitting the gym after this. Standing atop the shoe, Neithan breathed heavily, snarling up at the gigantic man in red as it reached down--he would happily set the thing ablaze, he would--and.... uh. Gave him a heavy box. Peeking in, Neithan was amused. Coal. He gave a balrog coal. Well then. At least he had something to lift and start working on that upper body training with...

Verusha gazed up at the collosal santa, wearing a smug grin on her lips as usual, sizing the massive being up. Wow what a guy. But the daunting challenge didn't rattle her, in fact... it was quite nice to have something that got her blood pumping, and just begged to conquered! Glancing to her fire hound, the reaper gave a gesture for the pooch to stay put, while she took hold of the thick fabric on the 'jolly man' and began her ascent.
Man what a trek... but she'd made it to the top! standing proudly on a large knee, the confident ghoul stared up at the big man, her eyes narrowing sharply to show her clear pride in managing to get to the top. "Guess I get to pick a prize then, huh?" she mused, only lightly panting to catch her breath. Glancing back down to Cannon though, she smirked, "Maybe somethin' nice for my pal down there, huh?" she gestured with a point of her thumb behind her.
unfortunately, coal was all that was placed before her...

Tavi just stood there staring up at the huge creature that was Santa. He was enormous! How was anything suppose to sit in his lap! He would surely get aten by that huge belly, but danger aside he started to scale the huge creature. On the way up though he started to get a little nervous, this was so strange and not at all like him. Blushing he just stared up to the white beard from the creatures lap and whimpered, ears flattening to his head. T-this was harder than it looked, almost on cue with another whimper a candycane was presented to him and he was ushered off Santa's lap.
Upon a few licks after recieving Tavi noticed one of two things, the candy was delicious and it was never ending! The best kind of candy ever, bouncing off he goes to find San and show him his present.

The tremors throughout Amityville were somewhat worrying, but when Mayaa saw the big giant jolly fellow (or at least his bright red pants) and him bellowing out something about gifts, she positively lit up, scrambling after him just as all the other students were. She had tried flying first, of course, but hen he snow and wind hindered her from doing so, she pouted, and did it the old-fashioned way: climbing.
With sharpened nails and talons, It wasn't TOO much of an effort (hopefully Santa didn't mind tiny holes in his pant legs), but after much longer than she would have liked, she climbed to what she thought was a decent enough spot to shout, and at the top of her lungs, she cried:
"CAN I HAVE MORE MINIPETS??!" That was loud enough, right?
Either Santa didn't hear her or had no idea what she was asking (did they even have minipets in Christmasland?), but she soon found herself soarin in mid-air, only able to use her wings to prevent herself from having a nasty fall. Well, that's ok, Santa, she'll be back tomorrow!!
