With Christmas just around the corner, foot traffic on the streets of Destiny city was far more heavy than it was seemingly any other time of year. This was a fact she hadn't really appreciated before now, when she was forced to hide and dodge civilians while protecting them from the monsters that roamed the night. And then, in between peering into the shadows, she was peering at the device in her hand, watching the little dots of light move around the screen.
Feeling cold, Sailor Ida rubbed her hands on her bare arms, trying to warm them up. While the cold didn't bother as much as when she was powered down, it was still cold out today... one draw back to senshi fukus. Athene liked to have a hot drink while he patroled, but Ida didn't like having her hands full while she was running around fighting.
Pushing a button, the teen zoomed in on one particular dot, taking note of how close it was to where she was now. It was someone she didn't know, now was a good time to go say a friendly hello. Maybe she could offer some help, or some guidance, to the newbie. Jumping from one building to the other, Ida moved in closer, checking her compact periodically, before she was finally in the same place, glancing around for the senshi or knight that was around here.

Carlee thought it was just the coolest thing to power up after her girl scout meetings. And since tonight had been the last meeting of the year, she was happily prancing trhough the few inches of snow, laughing as she did so, arms thrown wide for balance.
Sure she had promised Arias that she wouldn’t go out without him…but what he didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him…especially if she didn’t get hurt in the process, because that was really the key. She just had to keep herself safe…then she wouldn’t get into trouble.
Elvira continued skipping and then paused, looking around. Was someone else there? She swallowed, then took a small step back, scampering behind a tree.
To be honest, she wasn’t quite sure that she wanted to deal with anyone else being there…especially if it was a bad sort of something…because that would just…
Well it would be bad. So there she was. Just hiding. It wasn’t worth it to meet up with anyone…and if she got hurt…well. Arias would be really upset. And she really didn’t want that to happen.

Okay so, the light was right here in this area, but... Ida couldn't seem to find the owner of it. She was more or less right on top of it, so why didn't she see anything?
Frowning, the eternal senshi wandered down the street with her compact in hand, looking about herself in confusion as she tried to find the senshi or knight she could sense nearby. This was very odd... was the other person... hiding from her? She wasn't exactly an imposing figure at 5'5" with her slender frame. She put off a pretty strong power signature, but still...
"Hello?" She called as she walked slowly, her fingers curling around her compact and holding it to her chest. "Is there anyone here? I'm not going to hurt you, I promise! I want to help you... I know you're sort of new to this, or at least I think you are, and I just want to help... My name is Ida."
Maybe she could coax whomever it was out of hiding... she preferred to think of them hiding than the alternative, which was knocked out or something.

Elvira remained behind the tree, swallowing hard. Was this just a trick? Or was the person out there really a nice sort of someone…and maybe they could make sure she got all the way home all right. Finally she decided on stepping out of her hiding spot, eyes on the ground.
“I’m…I’m Elvira…I am really new at this, and my brother told me not to power up if he wasn’t here…and I’m powered up and he’s not here, so please don’t tell him, or I’m going to get into a lot of trouble! He doesn’t really like me doing this, you know!”
She finally looked up at Ida and blinked. “Oh wow…you’re really pretty!” Purple was one of her favorite colors and this girl was covered in it! The chibi senshi took a step forward and blinked up at the older girl. “Ida…that’s a pretty name!”
There wasn’t much else to say, and she didn’t really want to even say much else. She couldn’t get over just how pretty the other senshi’s outfit was. And compared to her bright red one, she figured that Ida really liked being powered! And why wouldn’t she!

The little girl that came out from behind a tree was a complete surprise to Ida and she blinked for a moment before a welcoming smile spread over her face.
"Hello! Its so nice to meet you." The older senshi said as she offered her hand to the younger girl. Elvira... that name was so familiar. The way it tugged at her memory made her think that maybe, just maybe, it was one of the names on the list back in her room. The list of asteroids in her family, of senshi she had promised herself she would always search out. She was going to have to confirm that, but this was a wonderful opportunity to get to know a new senshi-in-training. Revealing their connection could wait.
"Your brother knows you're a senshi? Is he one, or a knight...?" It was... a little concerning that a possible civilian knew her identity. It was dangerous, but one could hope that as her brother, he was probably one of the safest people to know about it.
Ida watched as the little senshi came towards her, telling her how pretty she was. Her face heated, but she smiled, glad that if nothing else, the chibi wasn't put off by being confronted by an eternal. Chibis were so cute... This girl was taller than Florentina, but she shared that spark of something innocent and pure.
"Thank you... its really nice of you to say I'm pretty. I think you're adorable, yourself. I love your red shorts and your pretty flowers."

“He’s a knight. And he’s really awesome too! We both became uh…like this together. There was a big monster chasing us, and then a talking cat came over and told me how to become Elvira, and Arias got upset and became Newgrange! It was pretty cool.”
She looked down at her puffy read shorts and poked them, shrugging. “I don’t know. It kind of looks like Christmas threw up all over me…but you, you look like springtime just flopped over on you and decided to stay forever. Or something like that. I love the color purple, so I think you’re my favorite senshi ever. But of course…” She gave a little grin “You’re the only other senshi I’ve met so far, so duh I’d say that.”
She sighed. “My brother’s so afraid that I’ll get eaten. Have you been eaten yet? Do I just have to tell him he’s silly? How long have you been doing this? Is it a lot of fun? I think it’s pretty fun. And I like my scarf.”
Elvira was really all over the place right now. She thought that she could trust Ida, but she was still so worried about Arias just walking up and yelling at her for being out without him. He was so over protective!

Hearing the older brother was a knight was comforting. He had the ability to take care of his little sister and could be trusted to keep her identity secret from the people who might try to hurt her. Straightening up, Ida offered her hand to the chibi.
"I'm glad you like my outfit... I didn't get to choose it so I guess I was just lucky. Hey, how about I walk you home while we talk? That way your brother won't have to worry about you. I'm really glad you have your brother around... It's really important for senshi and knights to stick together in groups. It's a lot safer and we're more likely to win. You like winning, right?"
Ida smiled as she remembered back on her own experiences, the times she had needed someone to help her. It was so important to have that support.

Elvira looked so excited and nodded. “I would like that very much if you would walk me home. You seem very nice and I think my brother would be a lot happier if he knew I was going home with someone nice…even if it couldn’t be him, you know? He worries so much.” She took the offered hand and her smile widened.
It was so easy to be happy when she was powered up like this…what could go wrong? Seriously. She could do anything and could fight anything…she was a legitimate super hero…and that was the coolest thing ever. “Ida, I love winning, and if we work together, I think we can win at everything!”
And maybe that was because Ida had just said so…though it could have been because it just felt that way…
Or maybe she was just an idealist.
Whatever the reason, she was so dang happy. For real.
