This park was her birthplace, so it would be no wonder that Sailor Canopus made her first patrol here. She's never forget the night, how cold and how thick the snow was, yet how beautiful the park and the world had appeared after returning from that mirror. She left this world with nothing more than a few cents in her bucket, and ad returned with so much more. She wanted to find a way to repay her prince and her court for bringing her into this world and opening her eyes, and to spread it's welcoming embrace.

So here she was again, in the dark of night with only the dim lamp light to guide her and the stars hidden away behind a thick blanket of clouds, walking slowly and with careful precision so that her exposed toes wouldn't hit the freezing snow. She'd never think to wear such open toed shoes in this kind of climate, or ever, but she'd risk frostbite for her prince and the court, if it was asked of her.

She skipped along from one clear patch to the other, liking to a ferret's hind legs would fall into the print of the front paws in the wildness, spending more time focusing on her steps and not at all on the scenery around her or what laid beyond each free patch on the sidewalk. Even her ability to feel aura was suppressed in her desire to keep her toes warm, otherwise she might have noticed they she was drawing closer and closer to two energy signatures...

"I am always listening to you, no matter what I'm doing," Tantalus protested, dropping off the monkey bars and catching up with his boyfriend. "Besides, I fail to see why both isn't possible. We're patrolling, and I took a moment to be silly." He flashed Damocles a smile. "And besides, one of ours isn't too far away and we are going to make sure they're doing alright."

It was, as far as he was concerned, far better to run into other members of their Court than to run into the White Moon. At least feoolw Dark Mirrors would be more likely to talk.

He spotted the girl as they drew closer, and frowned. What was it with ladies' fukus and looking so very, obviously cold? "Miss, are you alright?" He called, as a greeting, already unwinding his scarf because at least he had long sleeves.

"Sure you are..." Damocles said, waiting till the shorter male caught up, only to fix him with a knowing look. "A moment? I can think of a dozen other moments that proves you are always being silly." The super mumbled as they walked along the path. Soon enough they crossed paths with the other signature and Damocles twitched awkwardly, hanging back some as Tantalus offered the girl his scarf.

The blonde shook his head. "You're not interrupting anything. Someone-" He fixed Tantalus with a flat stare " Was just goofing off instead of doing our route." He said before edging closer, his own shyness kicking. It could have been worse he noted. At least he was talking, versus the stammering mess Alistair had gotten when they first met. What a difference a year made.. "I am Damocles, and this is Tantalus."

Canopus looked at the scarf being offered to her and tentatively reached for it, knowing that it was likely being offered to her for warmth but not wanting to be so rude as to snatch it from his hands without first introducing one each other. She flashed the blonde haired one, Damocles, a kind smile as he introduced himself and his kind friend, and only then did she accept the cloth. "Thank you…"

Within seconds, she had wrapped the cloth about her shoulders and neck, immediately warmed from it even when it was her toes and legs that needed it. She listened to their exchange and tried her best to hold back her desire to chuckle, not wanting them to think that she was laughing at them. She was simply admiring their banter and the friendship that had formed between them. "It's nice to meet you both. I'm Canopus… I'm a little new to the court, though I'm sure you can tell."

She was unaware of Tantalus' thoughts and perhaps it was for the best, as she was eager to accompany them. "If you don't mind the extra company, sure. I'll be very quiet and I won't get in the way, if you like."

She tried not to sound too eager. She didn't want them to see just how desperate she was for company and feel as if they were obligated to let her tag along. She just didn't want to be a bother...

Tantalus huffed, rolling his eyes. "'Play nice,' as if I'm ever anything but," he said, still smiling at Canopus. "It's lovely to meet you, m'lady, and welcome to the Court." He found himself automatically turning on the charm full force, regardless of who he was with.

Certainly Damocles would remember that he always did this, and that it was all in fun. "And please, do feel free to talk as much as you want. I'd like to get to know you better. We both would, I'm sure."

"I can think of a few times..." Damocles mused with a small, almost unnoticeable grin. Though the grin disappeared as Tantalus dropped the honorific "title". He would... And oh god there went the charm. Full blast too. Though Damocles couldn't tease him on it too much. The blonde was pretty sure he had refereed to Leto as such at one point.

"If Prince Charming over here begins to creep you out with his flirty ways, let me know. He can be a bit.... intense." The blonde teased again, his grin a bit bigger this time.

It had seemed that her suspicions were dead on, and Canopus couldn’t stop the blush from spreading throughout her normally paled cheeks. These two were an item? It was precious. She should haven’t felt differently about the matter, given the teachings of the church that the sisters drilled into her head, but what she could see was love, true love, just as it would have been between a man and a woman. Why would anyone be against this, she could only wonder…

She didn’t bring any of this up, though. She merely tried to hide her blushing at their banter, and when Damocles offered to protect her from Tantulus’ flirtatious ways, she shook her head so hard that she almost popped herself in the face with her braid. “Oh no, it’s alright, really! I simply… I don’t get much compliments or the chance for others to flirt with me back at my school… this is fine!”

Tantalus’ question was a good way of distracting her from the blushing of her cheeks, and she answered truthfully as she followed after them, stepping in the footprints left by them, like a ferret in the snow. “Oh, not much… I usually volunteer at food drives and charities, and help other students with their class projects if they’re overwhelmed with work, or too busy. And patrol now, too… I guess I like to help?”
