((Hey if you're in the infirmary at this point I don't even care if you wanna pop in and say some s**t you're totally welcome, the infirmary lately man idek))

Despite the bustling population of the infirmary, things were startlingly quiet during the night. Most patients slept, and the only sound was the soft hush of covered feet against the floor, coupled with the beeps of machines that started to get drowned out and forgotten once you listened to them long enough. If you didn't, you became a little stir crazy.

This was one such situation. The gurneys were all on rollers, and there was no set indication of where each one needed to be. Patients were just there, constantly moved, constantly checked on, and constantly ignored at the same time.

So there was no one to tell Robert when to stop moving people next to one another.

"Here you go, buddy." He huffed out, as he rolled a gurney up right next to Finn's, of a sleeping girl who was recovering from severe chest trauma. Robert picked up Finn's chart, and read it carefully. "You're looking better. And you're awake, so.. I wanted to bring you a friend! Call it companionship therapy."

Robert left them, feeling like the best nurse in the world. Was he leo-strutting? No, of course not.

Finn had been awake. Of course he had been awake. How could he sleep like this? All bandaged up, barely able to move, half blind, itching, aching, and remembering over and over again a memory that wasn't even his, one where he killed Fini on replay, by holding her by the neck and forcing acid into her mouth and down her throat.

< It isn't a real memory, Finn, I assure you. > Trynt snarled at him for what felt like the millionth time, trying to be reassuring in his own rough and callous way. But no matter how many times he growled out that sentence, it didn't change the fact that Fini still hadn't messaged him back, and still hadn't bothered to come and see him, to check on him, to reassure him with her own living, breathing presence that he hadn't actually killed her.

So no, Finn couldn't sleep. The only time he slept was when they gave him something to help him along the way, and he was guessing they weren't going to be so giving with their precious supplies tonight, not with how busy the infirmary had been getting lately, with a new occupant seemingly arriving every hour.

When Robert wheeled one of the occupied gurney's up beside him, Finn had been busy staring at the Finn the Human button that Abbi had brought for him, flipping it over between his fingers, lost in his own thoughts, pensive.

He snorted when the other man said he was looking better. "You mean my bandages are looking their freshest and whitest today? Oh how ******** fantastic. Forgive me if I don't seem overly enthused." He glared after the large man as he strolled away, then tilted his head to the side to see who's presence he had been graced with.

Ya he had no idea who the ******** that even was. But she was asleep, which meant that he could either ignore her, or be a pain in the a** and wake her up.

Well, it wasn't like he had anything better to do.

"Hey, princess! Oy! Wake up cupcake! Rise and ******** shine!"

Maebe wasn't used to painkillers. They really had done a number on her, and she'd fallen fast asleep as soon as they'd been administered. But she'd slept enough for one night, despite the painkillers still coursing through her body. So when someone started yelling that closely to her ear, she winced and roused herself from the drug induced sleep, turning her head and lounging it lazily against the pillow. There was a man lying there, next to her. Not an unfamiliar sight. She tried to take a deep breath, and realized she couldn't feel the majority of her upper body, so she didn't move. She just lifted her hazy, unfocused eyes to him. What had he said to her again? Rise and ******** shine?

She liked him already.

"I'm awake." She grumbled out. Her voice sounded terrible - she was so thirsty. She couldn't feel her hands, which meant she couldn't call for the nurse. All she could do was look at this strangers face. Or try.

"Can you push your call button?" She whispered out.

He wondered for a minute at what they must have given her, slightly jealous that he wasn't still getting the same treatment and was forced to endure, until too overcome with exhaustion to fight it anymore. She didn't look like she was going to rouse, and he made a sound in the back of his throat, a combination of annoyance and disgust. If Robert was going to bring him a "friend", he could have at least made sure it was one that was conscious.

But then, when he thought that her stirrings would progress into no more then just that, her head turned to the side, her eyes opening, and she was speaking. Grumbling, but speaking.

His lips twitched up into a cold smile at her whispered words. "What do I look like, your secretary?"

He was about to ask her what she needed it for, but then a thought occurred to him, and he wrinkled up his nose at her. "You didn't s**t yourself or something, did you?"

Because that seemed like a pretty legit thing that could have happened.

The answer was biting cold, and it made her smile. It was just about the same kind of answer she would have given someone who told her to do anything when she was bedridden in a hospital. She appreciated how little he cared about his fellow man.

"Yeah." Her answer sounded light, but formal. "Pretty hair, nick rack, tight a**. You look just like my secretary. She was better in bed though. Push the damn button."

Her smile faded, and her head turned away when he asked her about shitting. She actually had to think about whether or not that was something she had the power to even control, at the moment. That thought sickened her a little, and she did not appreciate being reminded of her bodily functions when she couldn't feel her body. "Not that I would know it if I had, but no. I just need some water." She huffed out an over-exaggerated sigh, and drawled her final words. "Don't ask questions like that. You'd make a shitty secretary."

Finn's face didn't lose it's cold smile as he turned his head away from her, his eye as deadpan as always. Pretty hair? Maybe once, before he'd had to shave it off. Nice rack? That just reminded him of his tightly bound chest, bandaged up to cover the gaping holes in his flesh. Tight a**....

Okay he apparently still had at least one good attribute left.

"Ya? And you look just like my pet dog, Jake. Now, maybe you should get down and beg, and I might give you a treat." He rolled his eye back towards her, his smile broadening.

"Aw, cupcake, really? Well, as nothing too offensive smelling has invaded my senses yet, we can assume you're still okay. For now." The fact that she just admitted she wouldn't be able to tell if she even needed to was slightly distressing, however.

"Ah, you just cut me to my blackened core, darling. My life long dream to take messages and give my boss blow jobs and coffee has been extinguished by your words." He tapped his finger on the ledge of his bed, precariously close to the "call" button, but not quite willing to push it just yet.

"All right then, here's another question then. What the ******** is in it for me if I get you a water?"

Instinctively, Maebe's response to being called a dog was to breathe a quick Woof under her breath. "Sorry. I'm not house-trained. And I doubt your treats are good enough to get me on my knees, anyway." She kept eyeing his hand on the button, waiting for him to push it. He could spout bullshit at her all day, if he would just push the damn button.

But he wasn't.

Why wasn't he just pushing the button.

Even her love for sass was starting to wane in the wake of her current need. Her throat hurt with every word she said, and she thought of a million scathing comments about blowjobs to throw at him, but none of them were worth the pain of talking anymore. So she chose her words carefully, instead - the sarcasm would have to wait until somebody finally came to soothe her throat.

"What do you want? I can't move, so I'm pretty sure your idea of a favor is out the window."

"That's okay. I like my bitches a little more wild anyways." Was his quick retort, his grin stretching into nothing less then a baring of teeth. Of course, it was all in good fun to him, who thought for a moment that he'd gotten a real spitfire of a hospital buddy.

But then things quickly began to dull, and Finn just as quickly began to lose interest in his new play thing. Even her offer in the form of a question was no longer appealing, and his finger hovered over the damn button...

....And then dropped back into his lap.

Finn then busied himself with pretending he had something much more interesting to pay attention to, rolling over in his bed so his back was facing little miss no fun, hand reaching for his phone, grabbing it before flipping over onto his back, letting out a sigh as he opened it and sent out a quick text.

Kyrieko
Text to Fini: The least you could do is respond so I know you're still ******** alive, Sunshine.
It was not the first text he'd sent to this particular person, far from it, and it would likely not be his last.

"I'm sure somebody will be by to check on you soon." Apparently he hadn't completely forgotten about the woman.

He had, apparently, decided he wasn't going to help her out, though.

Maebe let out a frustrated groan when he dropped the call button. He turned his back to her, and she was forced to figure out some other way to get a nurse's attention. She briefly tried to shake the bed by turning her head back and forth, but all it did was move the pillow. Finally, she strained as hard as she could with her neck, letting out a pitiful whine as she tried to inch upward, but it was useless. She couldn't move, and he didn't give a s**t.

"I don't want somebody to check up on me soon." She growled. "I want somebody to check up on me now." She stilled for a moment, using every brain cell to try to think up a plan, until..

"I'll have a bowel movement. That'll do it."

Then she started making brand new, more constipated noises.
