The fact that he wasn't in a good mood to begin with seemed to be compounded by the fact that all of the Gaili had gotten away from him after he'd charged in so recklessly. He supposed that attacking so many large dragons without even a plan probably wasn't his best move but it also tended to be the sort of thing that he excelled at. He'd allowed that woman to get into his head, hadn't he? Not only had he left home when he probably shouldn't, wanting to prove himself in battle, but he'd completely failed at said battle. Sighing a bit the Diabi trotted along in the direction that the Gaili had fled in, unable to fly quite yet which gave him more time then he would like to think about to consider everything that was going on in his life at the moment. None of it look good, did it?

Even putting aside what had happened with that pink haired wench there were other things to consider as well, things like how he hadn't even told his family about his accomplishment yet. How could he? He had lost the moment that he had gotten the form... but maybe that was the problem? He hadn't even had a chance to test his new form, to get used to what it could do, and he'd found himself in over his head. It wasn't as though it had been the first time, far from it, he got into a lot of dangerous battles because of the thrill of it all. He hadn't always come out on top but at least he had been able to hold his own... and he had to remind himself it wasn't as though he hadn't done anything at all against his opponent, he'd caused some decent damage to her. He couldn't let his rage over losing blind him to everything else, he would only continue to do poorly if he allowed that. No, he had to concentrate on the fact that he had done something against that two-legged monster, more then he felt any of his kind could have after being blind sided in such a manner.

What he had to do now was try to calm his rage, focus, and continue after his Gaili prey. If he wanted to really make himself feel better he would need to try to do what he always did, that being setting his mind to a hunt. Once he started to chase something he never let it go, he would defeat them, take their orbs, and keep them as prizes even if he no longer needed them for the purpose he collected them for before. Before the collecting of dragon orbs had been for his transformation into a Drakeinian, nothing more, but now, now he would be able to collect them for the sheer enjoyment of it. He would be able to fill his lair with the glittering orbs for the sheer fun of it! Oh, he could only imagine it when it was filled with them! And given the power he had now perhaps he would be able to get more of the Diabi Orbs? He'd only ever had one of them and it had been by far his favorite. It was the hardest to sacrifice that one but it had been worth it in the end, his Drakeinian form was beautiful after all. He'd of gladly given a hundred Diabi orbs to become Drakeinian after all.

With these thoughts in mind, nice thoughts, ones about how he was going to start to enjoy his hunts as well as his Drakeinian form, he steps quickened a bit more. He would see about starting the collecting of Dragon Orbs all over again with the five Gaili that he had attacked earlier. The Gaili Orbs weren't most impressive or colorful of the orbs but they weren't bad, they were the sort that he could still enjoy and the battles to get them would still be ones that were worthy of his time and effort. It was a good first step, a good way to ready himself for future battles against dangerous opponents! He would set Diabi Dragons as his next real goal, he wanted to find them, to hunt them to gather their dark, beautiful orbs, and to otherwise revel in the battles against them. To hunt those who were dark killers like himself, it would be quite grand. He was purring happily to himself as he walked, thinking about what his new future plans were, but knew that he would need to think on the present ones as well. There were other things that he had to do, important ones, those such as getting Tallulah back to work.

He felt bad that he had abandoned him, leaving him behind at the caves, while he came out hunting to prove himself to... well, himself. He could only hope that the Merkein would both understand and forgive him for the selfish act. He'd go back when he was done here, ask his forgiveness, and then see about getting Tallulah back to his training. The Peisio had likely lost a lot of precious training time when he had come to stay with Eyphah's family, not to mention that he had then spent even more of his time healing him. Tallulah was far behind where Eyphah felt he should be, meaning he'd have to get him training again. Alright, so he had future plans, present plans, and an on hand object as well which was good, very good.

As he came over the next dune he spotted the Gaili that he had been chasing until this point, looking as though they were resting and recovering from the Diabi's brutal attack. It was actually a refreshing thing to see, to know that they weren't having an easy time of being hunted. That meant that he just had to keep it up, to keep pushing them, and if he was lucky he would be able to start to pick them off. His glowing eyes went to scanning over the group of them, taking in the different wounds that they had, before he nodded to himself, "I see you." He all but purred, spotting the most injured amongst them. That would be the one that he went after first, certain that he would be able to finish it off quickly enough. That orb was all but his he thought to himself as he went charging forward once more toward them, teeth barred into a grim and dangerous smile.

The moment that the dragons spotted him they went into a bit of a panic, as though his last, rather mindless attack, had spooked them. Probably a good thing, it meant that they weren't as organized this time around. It would allow him a good opening when it came to taking them down he thought to himself. As tempting as it was to take a swipe at the others as he went passed them he forced himself to focus on the most bloody one of the five. Focus, Eyphah, focus, take the beast down, collect the orb, then see about getting the rest of them he told himself. As tempting as it was to just attack he knew that having an actual target instead of letting his attention get split five ways was actually the best plan. Once close enough he lunged, landing on the Gaili's back, giving a roar as he did so, before the scythe like barb on the edge of his tail buried itself into the Gaili's spine.

It took but a moment of twitching before the creature collapsed into a heap and crumbled away into nothingness. He gave a happy sort of smile, reaching down to scoop up the Gaili Orb in his clawed forefoot, chuckling as he did so, "Wonderful, wonderful, you are all mine now my precious." He purred at it, holding it up so that he could gaze into its golden surface. He only allowed himself to enjoy it for a moment before he turned to look at the other Gaili around him, taking in the manner in which they were watching him, all their eyes wide, their bodies tense, before they turned and fled. His being attacked by him in such a brutal manner and then to be attacked again, losing one of their number this time, it wasn't something that did well for Gaili morale it would appeared. Glorious! This would be a wonderful, drawn own, and amazing sort of fight he thought to himself as he purred after the Gaili, "Run, run, as fast as you can my tasty pretties. I am going to get you and the last amongst you to fall is going to double as my dinner!" Giving a happy sound or chuckle he set to work counting to ten, giving them a bit of a head start, before he started after them once more. He wanted it to be interesting after all, to make the battle that much sweeter as his claws, teeth, and scythe tore the Gaili apart!
