Well this was knew? Cadaver Virile had never been late getting back to the shop but today's events had proven a bit frustrating. He had helped Dr. Striker with a local in house patient who was suffering from an early winter flu. The poor kid couldn't keep his food down and was growing pale from dehydration. His parents all but threw accusations at them for not being able to do more. After many exchanged words and reassurances; they had managed to get the bow to sleep just before downing a fresh glass of orange juice. It was all the boy could keep down before they were called away on another house call.
As fate would have it, Cada had to excuse himself and hurry back to the shop to help Weiss open up for afternoon hours. As he ran through the streets he waved his "hellos" and "good afternoons" to recognized persons. Skidding to a less than elegant stop in front of the shop, he entered ringing the bell that would announce a visitor.
"Are you trying my patience young man. I expect you to be prompt when a schedule is given to you?" The smooth timber of his guardian's voice slid through the shop from some place in the back. Cada only smiled rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "What have you to say?" The man slipped into view hands steadily at work shinning one of many trinkets and baubles.
"I was helping the doctor with a sick patient. It took longer then we thought to get him settled." He knew Weiss wouldn't be pleased but the man understood that Cada needed to feel like he was doing something worth while. Anything that would keep his mind off the usual sadness that rested heavy on his heart.
At seeing the boy in near distress for his lateness, Weiss let up with a sigh. "Very well. Please remove your hood and cap indoors. Clean the windows out front and sweet the walkway. Turn the open sign around, I managed to get things prepared earlier today." Nodding the youth hurried to do as told glad that he wouldn't be reprimanded with a lecture for his lateness today.
It was already turning out to be a decent day...

Willow was bored, ever so bored. Halloween had passed, her pumpkin patch had died out and the cold winter had given her a horrid case of the sniffles. Never the less she refused to stay in bed like her Papa had suggested and instead went about her usual daytime activities. She had spent the morning by her favourite bond, knee deep in stagnant water in order to round up some frogs. After collecting another fine specimen and containing it in an empty jam jar, the orange eyed dust decided it was a job well done. She put it inside her sactual with care, alongside the three other creatures that she had collected - before pulling herself out of the bog.
Quickly she collected her coat and hat from the bank, the only items of clothing that had been safe from the mud that had ravished his cloth and skin. She wiped her sniffling nose (spreading more dirt across her face) before adjusting her bag and heading back towards town. A sneeze escaped her, rattling the jars in her bag. She often released her pets in the inn that was run by her father, however since she just regained her freedom from the grounding bestowed on her last time, she decided it was best to find her slimy friends a home away from home.
With a childlike smile on her face which totally contrasted with her evil intent, she scanned the area for a target. When she turned a corner to find an antique shop her mind was made up. Looking over both her shoulders the brunette slowly and innocently made her way to the establishment, sneakily floating past the front door before inspecting the building in order to find a window that was accessible from the outside. After a moment she found one that was ever so slightly open, small childlike fingers picked at the frame to open it enough to slide her slimy minions through.
One by one she opened her jars and one by one she squeezed the creatures through the opening, each one accompanied by quiet yet sinister laughter as they fell from the window to the floor below. With one last push the last frog fell to the floor, orange eyed peered over the windowsill - waiting patiently for the show to commence.

Cada was busy sweeping out dust and dirt from the front end of the shop. He pushed the front door open, tinkling the bells over the door. "I need water in a pale, I'm going to clean the windows, their filthy." Weiss called from the back where he had finished shinning his wares.
Grabbing a pale and heading to a small sink in the corner of the shop, Cada made his way over to where he last heard Weiss. As he got near, he heard a sudden ruckus coming from the man. "What's wrong?" The teen asked peering over the mans shoulder. As he got closer he saw nothing out of the ordinary so shrugged handing over the pale of water. "Here's the water, I put a little soap in it." He offered setting the pale down. As he did a sudden green creature hopped in his line of sight before disappearing into the pale. "Huh?" Blinking he looked up in just enough time to find a frog hop onto Weiss' face.
"What in the blazes... " Fighting off the green creature, Weiss stepped back kicking the pale of water and releasing it's captive who quickly found purchase on Cada's head. The final creature in this sudden assault was sitting near the window watching the events with boredom, croaking it's disapproval of its new dwellings. "Cada get these things out of here!" The man began flapping his arms frantically, reaching toward his face to pry the offending green thing from him. "What is... a frog? Did you do this?"
Cada simply shook his head, not at all bothered by the thing on his head. "Nope. The window was open, did you forget to close it?" Though that was hardly likely Weiss was particular in the way he closed up shop. "I can get them but... ah!" The frog near the window jumped down falling in Cada's lap. It croaked once then found purchase under his hooded sweater. "Oh no don't... ahahhha! That tickles get out.." Unzipping his sweater he pushed off his feet shaking and jiggling to get the thing free. It finally fell to the floor with a splat then hopped away on quick legs croaking its freedom. The frog on his head remained purchased happily content to remain nested. The final frog was clutched in Weiss' hands.
"I don't have time for this. Get that other frog and get it out of here..." The man huffed handing the frog to Cada he stormed off in search of washing facilities to clean himself.
Picking up the pale, Cada place the frog within removing the other from his head as well. He followed the runaway frog and caught him in the corner of the shop. With all three frogs safely caught he looked around at the damage. Nothing major a puddle of water, some items had been jostled and with Weiss' bruised ego it was nothing that couldn't be fixed. "How you guys get in here?" He asked the frogs heading for the door to return them to their natural habitat.

Willow was pleased with herself, every so pleased with herself. Her pretties were doing just as she thought they would and the larger man’s reaction to their presence did nothing but tickle her side. She sunk down the wall, biting her lip to contain her laughter - however her giggling soon erupted into quite a violent coughing fit. Her lungs burned as she stuffed her dirty hand in her face to try and stay undetected. When the coughing passed she took a few deep breathes before slowly pulling herself back up to peer in through the window. There was only one creature in the room now and he seemed to have tamed her wild beasts.
His shirt was unzipped to expose more of his unnatural colouration. Now, in most circumstances the dust would have run away and avoided detection, however the strange tone of the man’s skin made her curious. Another creature like herself? She had met one or two before, all such magnificent specimens. Willow herself looked very human, infact many mistook her for such, thus why so many believed that she was Faust’s biological daughter. She envied the unique colouration and additions that many of her brethren possessed, she always felt like she looked so mundane and boring.
She did not even have any powers as far as she could tell.
Her minions captor was heading towards the door and the young girl paused to think up her next move. She wanted to make contact with the boy…. however, that was so much fun. A small part of her wanted to round up the frogs for a second time and let them loose once again. The orange eyed girl followed the wall, head held low as she made her way to the front of the shop, awaiting for the door to open and to be reunited with her friends.

Cadaver went to the front door to pull the "closed" sign out and lock the door. Turning on his heels he went toward the side entrance, deciding it best to close the shop until things were cleaned up. Hefting the bucket of croaking critters he opened the door stopping short to get a whiff of the air. The sun peeked up between the scattering clouds making for a fairly warm day despite the sprinkles of snow here and there. It hadn't stuck very well this winter but it was almost certain they would be in a blanket of white before the end of the month. With a sigh he moved along decided to take the frogs back toward the bog. As he moved along the small alley he noticed the figure of a child hidden in the shadows. Quirking his head to the side he stopped short of bumping into the child.
From their build, he guessed a girl. From the scent of autumn and pumpkins wafting off of her and the usual shiver that rolled up his spine and crinkled his toes; he was being graced by another similar to himself. Moving closer he crouched slightly, sniffing lightly at her. "Hello." He chirped happily, noting how she had a normal appearance. Almost human in nature. "Is there something you need?"

She has been sniffed! Willow stood back ever so slightly. He SNIFFED her. One step, two step. Flop. Her muddy boots lost traction with the already frosty ground and the brunette found herself flat on her backside. Her cheeks brightened, partially from the cold and partially from the fall. He was a weird one, maybe it was a dust thing? Kon had sniffed her. Venice had sniffed her… now this. Maybe they were more animal than human, then again humans are animals too. No, snap out of it, this was no time to be thinking such thoughts!
Willow puffed out her cheeks, standing up straight and smacking the dust off of her bum. “No.” She stated rather bluntly, her cheeks still flushed from embarrassment and her voice cracking from both illness and frustration. Her eyes made their way from the other dust’s face and then slowly landed upon her minions. They were being held captive! “Hey, they are mine!” She stated, her hands resting on her hips in a disapproving manner. “Release them at once or be prey to my awesome power.” It was a bluff, she was completely powerless, but she put on a good pokerface.
All of a sudden any curiosity she had to the other dust had turned into intimidation. She had never seen one as big as him before… the others. They were all her size he was… Different? More powerful? She did not trust that stupid smile of his.

Cada quirked a brow at the young girls reaction. Fumbling over herself he moved to help her but she seemed to put herself right almost immediately. Glad that she was okay, despite the slight signs of her sickness, he kept his distance.
At the mention of the croaking critters he held up the bucket chuckling lightly. "Oh so this was your doing?" He acknowledged setting the bucket to the ground. "You can have them if you want... on one condition..." Moving swiftly he snatched her wrists holding a hand to her forehead. "Fairly warm, you're sick little one. Why are you out here?" For the life of him he couldn't figure out why her guardian would let her wonder around out her in this cold weather. Poor thing was much too pale to his liking. Although he liked that she had a lot of spirit in her. He was like that when he was younger... actually he was still like that now if manhandling the girl were any indication. In light of that he let her go stepping back a few paces to put some space between them. "Take your friends and go home, little one, you shouldn't be out here in this weather."

Willow was, for once in her short existence, lost for words.
The other dust had caught her completely off guard by his actions. Touching. Free from his grasp she took another few steps back, arms up to her chest in a defensive manor. It was almost like she was clutching at a stake to scare off this hypothetical vampire. Her minions bounced past her but she made no attempt to contain them. She was in shock. What?
In normal situations she would have protested, she would have stamped her feet and thrown all her toys out of the pram. A stranger, bossing her around? Who did he think he was! Alas she remained still, doe eyed and confused.
This was her chance at escape.
Instead of causing a fuss, the Pumpkin Dust turned.... then very swiftly ran in the opposite direction. Her face flushed and bothered.
Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Well if that didn't beat all. He hadn't meant to sent the girl running. But she was sick he could feel it. And it concerned him. Scratching his head he shrugged and turned to the shop making sure things were locked up. Moving forward through the streets he kept up a pretty decent distance. She seemed to be too lost in her head to notice he had been gaining up on her.
Well damn. He really hadn't meant to upset her but he supposed his straight-forwardness was bound to back fire. Oh well... she was sick, he could help. So he would. And chasing her was his first step.
