Noble had been traveling for a few weeks, and it felt something closer to an eternity. It was funny how everything had been clarified with this latest change of his. He knew instinctively he was what would be considered full grown, an adult and it had brought so much clarity to him. Resolve and acceptance he'd never felt...and determination to discover things. Such as why did he get warm fuzzy feelings that felt like butterfree in his stomach any time he thought about Devin? The Sawsbuck teen had been quite kind to him while he'd stayed there healing up from injuries....and he'd left concerned for his and his trainers well being. Left thinking he was the problem when in reality he was the solution to so much. His thinking about himself had done a one-eighty and he saw himself in a much more positive light. As he got closer to where Devin and gram lived his nervousness returned full force and he decided to show up with a few things in hand. Oh sure he'd left on good terms, and not slunk out in the night or anything, but still he didn't know how his reappearance after a few months would be taken. So he had a few food items he recalled both seemed to like, plus a replacement for the potions Devin had used on him. Scuffing a foot a moment he started up to the door that he'd not seen for awhile and he gave a knock to it, tail swishing slightly behind him. He was taller, slightly more muscular, he'd not gotten the hang of that shaving thing that humans did but he didn't seem to get beyond the slight scruff he currently had...his clothing was in lighter tones than their previous meeting, more down to earth and relaxed but it was his eyes that had really changed. They were brighter, happier. He was happier now. Happy but nervous. In his travel back he'd come to realize the fluttering was because he liked Devin and he was worried about how the other would react. If he would feel the same. He was probably more scared now than he'd ever been in his life as he stood there waiting.

The snow was on its way, it always tended to pile up this time of year, but Devin was in a good mood regardless. He was a Winter Form Sawsbuck after all, it would be silly if the snow got to him. If anything he was just happy to be outside. Not that it was all play or anything, actually he'd been out gathering various sizes pieces of wood for the fire place. A lot of kindling, enough to fill a basket, to get the fire started and then some logs that he'd chopped previously and stored in the shed for when it was going strong. With his arms full of what he needed he was on his way back, going over the list of things he had yet to do today.
He'd start with this of course, get the fire going to warm up the house, check on the bread that they had rising, put it in to bake when it was ready, from there a bit of light cleaning including laundry, he had a couple pairs of pants that needed mending, and then starting on lunch. A sizable list but nothing that he wouldn't be able to handle easily enough he felt. Not as though he hadn't worked hard every day since he was a tiny Deerling, right? It was as he got closer to home that he realized that he wasn't alone out in the cold, winter's morning as he spotted... Noble?! The Keldeo had returned? It was something he'd hoped might happen but couldn't help but to be surprised by nevertheless. How he wanted to run over, scoop him up into a hug, and welcome him back... but with his arms full that would have to wait until they got inside and he was able to put everything down.
Taking in a gulping breath, forcing himself to relax despite the fact that it was the very last thing he wanted to do at the moment. Approaching his friend he gave him a once over, taking in the changes that had come over him, quite impressed by how strong he was looking today, before he said, "The door is unlocked if you want to open it up and head inside." He could only hope walking up behind him and suddenly speaking up wouldn't be too startling for the Keldeo. The last thing he wanted was to give his friend a heart attack when he was finally visiting again after what felt, at least to Devin, like an eternity... though that could just be him being overly dramatic.

As he waited for someone to answer the door, Noble found himself fiddling nervously with the hem of his shirt, and he dropped his hand down self consciously though soon the hand resting on the strap of his bag began to fiddle with that.
He could smell the snow in the air, and was glad he'd made it here before it'd started to fall. It wasn't fun traveling in that stuff, and less so since his change, he'd have had to find somewhere to hole up for awhile, and that would have delayed him even further on returning. As was, he was well prepared to go into town and get a room to stay in for who knew how long. He was taking this entire thing one moment at a time. Not even a day at a time. He was living for the moment!
Why isn't anyone answering? Maybe they're out...or they saw who's at the door and are avoiding you....no. Devin would at least open the door and tell me to go away....so I guess they're not home. I'll have to come back later....but when? Few hours I suppose... he was agonizing over the lack of answer at the door, debating if he should go, or take up a spot against the house and wait for someone to come home...and so was so lost in thought he didn't hear Devin walking up behind him.
Not until he spoke anyhow, and he jumped a mile, nearly dropping the bag from his shoulder in the process. Wide eyed he turned to face Devin and broke out into something of a stupid grin, a pink flush of pleasure at seeing the teen painting his face,
"Devin! You are home! I was just trying to figure out if I should wait a bit longer, or come back in a few hours." the words ran together quickly in his nervousness and he stumbled forward and got the door for the other since his hands were full. "After you, I'll get the door." he stepped out of the way, eyes sweeping over the Sawsbuck and he couldn't help but smile a little bigger. Devin certainly looked...well not the same as ever....but not different. Not really though Noble was certainly viewing him differently, and so he wasn't missing a detail today!
The way the muscles in Devin's arms bulged as he carried in the wood, the way his shirt clung to his broad shoulders...he couldn't take his eyes off Devin for a good few moments, before he gave himself a mental shake to snap out of his little trance.
"I hope this isn't a bad time?" He would have offered to help with the wood, but he knew from the last time he was there, that attempting to help with something could actually cause an issue, so he let Devin handle the wood himself. If he had more to bring in, then willing assistance would be offered!

Devin couldn't help but to wince a little before giving a laugh, "Sorry about that, I kinda hoped I wouldn't startle you." He said, but figured given that he had walked up behind him that it was a distinct possibility. He flushed a little then gave him a smile, "I hope that you can forgive me." It was quite important to him that his good friend not get upset with him for scaring him though he could have done more to prevent it, walking heavier perhaps? Maybe he could have cleared his throat? Both things might have resulted in the same jump from the Keldeo though since he had seemed to be deep in thought.
As his friend opened up the door for him he gave him a smile, "Thank you." He said, smiling at him brightly, one ear giving a little flick before he headed inside, "I am glad that I got back when I did, I'd hate to have missed you when I was hoping that you would come to visit again." He said, walking over to the fireplace, kneeling down so that he could set the basket of kindling down first, then the pile of logs he was carrying. Once he was free of their weight he stretched out all over, rolling his shoulders a bit, then smiled, "That's better."
The Sawsbuck set to work getting a fire going, making sure it was strong enough to keep burning on its own, before he pushed back to his feet, "It's not a bad time, just doing the normal, everyday sort of chores. No reason to worry." He said, walking over to where the Keldeo was standing, before he wrapped an arm around him, dragging him in for a big hug, before he looked down at him, asking, "How are you feeling? Better then last time I hope?" He and his Grannie had tended to Noble best that they could but that didn't stop him from fretting over his friend, hoping that he was alright in the time that they were apart.
He knew that he couldn't follow Noble around everywhere to take care of him, sure that he would get annoyed with such actions, but it didn't stop him from worrying about him. Stepping back he asked, "Would you like something to eat? To drink?" He should be a good host he reminded himself, knowing Grannie would tsk at him otherwise.

'Oh it's okay. If I hadn't been so lost in thought I would have heard you coming up behind me. So it's as much my fault I got startled as yours." he gave the other an easygoing smile as he said that showing there was no hard feelings on the sudden spooking he'd been given. "Of course I forgive you, though there's nothing to forgive, really." "My pleasure." he was glad his back was to Devin as he'd continued to talk, a pleased smile was sliding into place along with another slight blush. He needed to learn to control that... "Really? You were hoping I'd visit again?" he eased his own pack off and to the floor by the couch as he turned around and watched as the wood was settled into it's spot. He waited patiently for Devin to finish what he was in the middle of, not wanting to throw a wrench into his list of chores that he was in the middle of. He knew the other was busy, but at least this time he wasn't hurt and could help from the start! "Well good. I'll lend a hand with what you have left...if you don't mind anyhow. Two sets of hands makes the work go faster." The Sawsbuck made him feel a bit more on the short side than he actually was and he knew it was the antlers causing that illusion, but it was an interesting feeling none the less. When those arms wrapped around him Noble couldn't help the content sigh that came from him as his own wrapped back tightly, fingers curling snugly into the others shirt and just holding on close for a long moment. This felt so nice... Though he was laughing then in the confines of the others arms, his entire body shaking with the action as he gave a nod against Devin's shoulder. "I feel...amazing. Lighter. Not been hurt in awhile either. Glad I didn't show up on your doorstep hurt again. No sense in having you worrying so much about me." He suppressed a sight as he was let go, but he knew they couldn't stay that way forever even if it felt good. "Maybe something to drink. I've been snacking on traveling food for awhile so I'm not too hungry but I ran out of water several hours ago and no where to fill up. Every where was frozen over." he crossed to his pack then and carefully removed a smaller bag from inside before crossing back to Devin. "I brought you something. It's not much but I did promise to repay you for those potions you used on me. So I got you new ones." it was the least he could do honestly! He was grinning again at the other. "It's so good to see you. I've honestly missed you since the moment I left. I wanted to turn around right then and come back and find a place around here to live." this was the first place he'd ever felt at home. At peace. "I was worried coming back that you might not want to see me again..." well there was that out in the open.

Devin glanced over at his friend, one ear giving a flick, before he nodded his head, "Of course! I know being Legendary you must be busy with important work but I did find myself looking out the windows from time to time, trying to spot you." He admitted, giving a bit of a chuckle. He knew it was something silly to admit to, that he was looking out the windows like a young deerling waiting on his trainer to return from running an errand he thought to himself. He was drawn from his thoughts when Noble mentioned lending a hand, something that made his dark eyes go a bit wide, "Help? Well, if you're sure, I don't want to force you to do a bunch of household chores." Turning back to the fire he gave it a once over, making sure that it wasn't in need of another log, before he turned back to Noble once more. After a moment of thought he finally said, "The next thing I need to do is get the laundry sorted and into the washing machine if you don't mind helping with that? Once the clothing is clean I need to do a bit of patch work, the knees of my pants tend to get blown out a lot due to me being a bit hard on them. Once that is done I need to change the bedding in my room, then wash that as well, and... well, various other chores." He gave a bit of a laugh before he said, "I sound a bit like a housewife, huh?" Walking over to the fridge he looked inside, a thoughtful look on his face, before he asked, "Let's see... milk, water, juice...?" He asked, looking over his shoulder at Noble, waiting to see what it was that he wanted to drink. They had plenty of things in the fridge so he would need to see what it was that he'd like. As Noble said that he'd gotten Devin something the sawsbuck stood upright, turning to look over at him, "You got me something?" He asked in a curious manner, taking a step forward toward him, then looked at the bag that the keldeo was holding, "Potions? Oh! Thank you, that is very kind of you to think of something like that. It's always good to have some potions on hand, just in case. Do you have enough on hand for yourself?" He didn't want to take the precious potions from him if he didn't have enough on himself, instead he'd be happy to share these ones with his friend. The potions, as useful as they were, got forgotten when Noble mentioned that he'd missed him, wanted to come back and find a place in the village to live, something that made him smile, "Well, I can help you find a place if you like and if you want you can stay here with us until then." He offered, giving him a smile, "Hm? Oh! Please, don't think that Noble! I am glad that you came back! I hope I didn't make you think otherwise when you were here last!"

"Well that's a warming thing to hear, I used to feel like trouble followed me everywhere. It's why I left you know. I didn't want trouble to find me here and harm you. Either of you." of course not! Though he was giving a rueful smile and shook his head. "Nothing very important. Seemed to be a big case of the right place at the right time to help folks out, but as I wandered I realized that the only pull I was feeling was bringing me right back here." he was laughing and it was easy to see the time away had changed Noble a little, but for the better. He was more light hearted now. "Nah not forcing me, just me lending a hand where I can. I recall some of that stuff from when I was here before...you'll probably have to show me how to do a lot of it but I'm willing to learn." he didn't know what a washing machine was for one. "Patching up clothes is something I know how to do however so I can certainly help with that no issue." He listened to the list the other was rattling off and grinned. "Well hopefully an extra set of inexperienced hands don't make your work all the harder." though there was another flush as he looked the other over. "Don't think anyone could ever mistake you for a housewife Devin." oh no. Not this big strong Sawsbuck! "Water would be nice thank you." he wasn't sure what milk was either and juice...well too sweet. Water was just dandy. As was the view he had of the other as he bent over looking in the refrigerator, his gaze sliding away just barely before he was caught staring. "I have a few and can get more if I need, don't you worry about me." that wasn't what he wanted at all. "If you don't mind me staying for a little bit till I can get my own place. I'd like to stick close by here I learned while gone. I felt at home here thanks to you. So don't worry about making me feel otherwise, you didn't at all." Not one bit! The complete opposite in fact! Though he found himself looking away with a brighter blush, and clearing his throat. He'd had a mental image running through his head for days and now that he was here he didn't think he could go through with it. Not just yet anyhow. Devin had so much work to do after all. Wouldn't do to delay him and who was to say grannie wouldn't walk into the room and find Noble half pinning Devin to a wall and kissing him breathless? He had a feeling that sort of thing would be better off let till when the two of them were the only ones awake.

Devin gave a smile and said, "Well, I am glad that you came back, know our door is always open for you, Noble." He gave a firm nod, not wanting her to think that they thought him as being 'bad luck'. Instead he was a welcome guest and not only because of was a Legendary Keldeo. While Devin felt blessed to have met someone like him he had to admit to himself that he wasn't quite what the sawsbuck was expecting, having thought that a Legendary might be more untouchable and maybe more arrogant. He pushed that thought aside instead smiled when Noble said that he would need to how him how to do a lot of the things that Devin had mentioned. Noble said he was willing to learn, something that put an even brighter smile on his face, "Alright, let's see what we can get done then! It's sure to be a lot easier if we take it on together. Before that though..." He moved to fetch a glass for Noble, filling it with water from the pitcher they had in the fridge. Returning to the Keldeo's side he handed the glass over to him, "If you want some more feel free to help yourself." He told him, giving a nod before he added, "I am going to fetch the laundry basket so that we can see about sorting the laundry out." Trotting off to the bathroom he picked up the heavy laundry basket, carrying it to where he'd left Noble, "Alright, if you would like to follow me? We can head to the laundry room and sort things there." The laundry room that he led the Keldeo to was attached to the kitchen, a small room, with the washer, dryer, and a small table in, but not much else. There would be enough room for the two of them in the room, though only just. The sawsbuck dumped the laundry out on the table, then opened up the washing machine, "Alright, first load will be pants. We will wash those first and once they are clean we can see about patching them."He said, taking the pants out of the pile, tossing them into the machine. As he did so he gave a smile, "Thanks again for the help, Noble." He said as he sorted things, "Grannie should be home soon, once she arrives I will let her know that you will be staying with us for a little while. I am sure that she will be quite delighted, she'll probably want to cook you a feast." He said with a bit of a laugh, knowing that the woman rather enjoyed having company and missed Noble, though maybe not as much as Devin had.

"That's really nice to know Devin." oh was it ever! He really had worried he wouldn't be welcomed when he returned. He'd been sure something bad had happened once he left. Apparently not though and that was an even greater relief no matter the realizations he'd come to about himself. He cared about Devin, so of course he worried. Seeing that bright smile on Devin's face just about knocked the breath from the Keldeo! It was an amazing sight and his eyes lingered for a few moments, a smile given in return. The glass of water was carefully taken with a thank you and he drained it pretty quickly, realizing he'd been more thirsty than he realized. Or maybe it was nerves. Or maybe both. Either way he was glad to have had it. He had just set the glass down when the Sawsbuck reappeared carrying the laundry basket and he moved to follow him, glass left where he'd set it so he knew where it was later and followed the other. His eyes swept over the small room as he stepped in taking in everything so he could learn about the world of being in a home, and not out traveling. It was a new sort of learning experience honestly! His hands sorted through the clothing and found pants as well, that much was easy enough. He knew what the various parts of clothing were after all! 'It's my pleasure to help you out Devin. I'm really glad to be here and be able to help you out." he felt like it made up for him being injured when they'd first met in some small way. He was being useful this time instead of needing tended to. Though at hearing they were alone in the house his heart began to thump almost painfully. He felt nervous and he was glad he was holding onto clothes at that point, so his suddenly sweaty hands could be dried up..and on things that needed washed anyhow! "So uhm...how does this work?" he pointed to the machine curiously. May as well get the clothes washing before anything else. No sense in side tracking either of them too badly after all!

Devin glanced over at the washing machine and then said with a laugh, "When I was just a little deerling I'd of sworn that it worked through some sort of magic or maybe that there was a small water Pokemon in there that was in charge of cleaning the clothing." He admitted, walking over to the machine, then set to explaining what the various dials meant, "After using the machine a time or two it's pretty easy to manage. Just need cold water and a bit of this soap and it will do the rest. All we have to do after that is wait for it to be done then toss everything in the dryer." He did each of the steps as he explained them, so that Noble would know how to run things if he needed to. He didn't really seem to notice that he was doing a lot of the work himself as he explained things, he was just used to doing the majority of the work to help Grannie out since she was an older lady. Turning to him he gave his friend another smile once the machine was filling up, "Alright, that's that. It's a rather easy and useful process, Grannie's a pretty big fan of this machine. It makes life a lot easier she says. It will buzz when everything is done and the laundry is ready to be switched around." Devin then set the basket on top of the dryer for later, then set to sorting the remaining laundry. "We will want to separate colors from whites, to keep the colors from bleeding and turning the whites various colors. I accidentally turned a whole load of socks pink once because I put them in with one of my red sweaters." He explained, chuckling at the thought, before asking of Noble, "Do you have anything that you need washed? We can toss it in with the rest if you like."

Noble peered into the machine before anything was put in, and couldn't help but laugh. "I could almost imagine a little water pokemon popping up from here to do it." he snickered some as he went back to listening to what everything meant on the machine. It was a lot to take in but he was fascinated by it. He was used to scrubbing his clothes clean in rivers, or just blasting the dirt and grime off them. This was a new thing entirely. Noble couldn't help but grin at the idea of socks being made pink. "I wouldn't have known that could happen if you hadn't just told me. I'm used to either using a water move to clean them up, or scrubbing them by hand. So that's good to know." The question made him think a moment. "I think I have a couple things yeah. I got rid of some stuff awhile back, so I'm traveling light right now. Let me get them out of my pack." he had to rest his hands on the others waist lightly as he sort of squeezed behind him to get past, and went to where he'd left it and pulled out a couple pairs of tightly rolled jeans and a few shirts and unrolled them. They were wrinkled from his method of packing, and in the case of a pair of pants had been patched up more than once, but when you traveled light it was bound to happen. "This is it. I'll see if I can't find work and all now that I'll be staying in one spot for quite awhile." Not that he'd ever worked before but he was willing to learn after all. His things were sorted to match the piles of clothes already laying there and he smiled warmly at Devin. "I'll get the ones I'm wearing in at another point, since I don't have anything else to change into." and running around without clothes would be embarrassing. "Now what?"

Devin chuckled, "You can imagine my surprise and confusion when the load ended up pink then. I was all but certain that it was the fault of a Rotom or something. You know how they can be when it comes to possessing the weirdest of things." He said, glancing at the washing machine for a moment then stepped away from him. As far as he knew they didn't have a Rotom living in their place, and one certainly hadn't taken over the washing machine, but one could never be too careful with that particular Pokemon. "Hm?" Devin seemed to think about it for a moment before he said without really realizing any sort of implications that might be attached to the offer, "You can always wear something of mine if you like while your stuff all gets washed. It might be a little bit big on you but at least it will allow you to get all of your things into the washer at once." He saw no reason why Noble couldn't wear one of his shirts even if it might hang down a ways on him. If might be a little cute so long as he didn't mind the baggy look. Giving him a smile he said, "The load is going to take a bit so we can leave the laundry room and let the machine do it's job." He led the way out, turning the light off behind them so as not to waste any power. They didn't have any electric types about to help drop the electric bill so he would do his best to keep unneed lights off.

"That's kind of funny I hate to admit." it was! It was one of those things that it was funny looking back on it, but at the time would be a pain he was aware. Still, hearing about it was worth a soft snicker. "Never had to deal with a Rotom, but I've seen what happens when they're around." more than once in his travels around. "Oh..that would probably work better yeah. I don't mind if it's too big on me, it would be nice to get all of my things washed up at once." he left the ones from his bag where he'd set them, figuring it could wait till he had borrowed a shirt or whatever. Once he had the borrowed shirt he did step into the bathroom to pull it on looking down at it swimming around his knees and all, and came out with his dirty clothes in hand. "Alright, here's the rest of it." it was sort of odd, being in just the tshirt and nothing more on under it. "I'll just set this with the rest of my dirty clothes."
