That my stupid work place didn't ban everyone from having any holidays off in december!!!!!

are they even aloud to do that? you should be reading up on your rights!! in Canada they cant make you step higher than 2 steps up a ladder without proper ladder training, lets just say my bosses were jerks and I don't like ladders mrgreen I wish you all the luck you need!

They get away with doing quite a lot and some of the stuff I've heard them do is supposed to be a saccable offence. No one would ever go to the higher boss to tell them though.. emo
It's that baddly run at my place, I mean if it was in a less dodgie area with less un organised management and more caring management then we'd have a bang tidy buisiness to run. But I'm not seeing any of this lately =u=

Considering I worked for a Casino in Vegas, and those places are the tourist attraction for people who don't celebrate the Holidays (Or Do but spend it on the Strip) we were open all day every day 24/7 all year round.

Businesses can do what they will. Rights have no basis on it unless the workplace is being unethical. Such as denying you work without pay or not letting you take the required breaks. But other than that, when it comes to the holidays, most places can stay open because not all celebrate due to different cultures. They do have to give you Holiday Pay though.
Many businesses believe that if you can make some money from someone, they'll stay open.
