Here is where you will go through the process of making a profile. These steps are made to be basic and direct you to the
end result for your profile. Follow them to the letter and the process should go smoothly. If it does not, please send
a PM to a crew member or higher ranking member to get answers or questions that could benefit you and future beginners.
Step 1 -- Personal Data
Picture: The picture you choose for your character should be unique in some way. The image of the character may be from
any anime or image source. However, the images not permitted are ones from mainstream animes of today (One Piece, Bleach,
Fairy Tail or Naruto, etc)
Name: The name is self explanatory as you simply choose a quality name that you feel is best for him/her. Do not choose
a name from a name everyone knows all too well from animes. (Ex. Naruto Uzumaki, Ichigo Kurasaki, Monkey D. Luffy)
Age, Height, Weight,Hair Color, Eye Color, Skin color, tattoos: These are specific character traits of your character. Be as creative as you want to be without diverging too far from your character's picture.
Race: This is often a misconcepted part of the profile making process. There are no real limits to this besides one: keep it related. No dragons, gods, demigods or anything else exaggerated unless allowed by a moderator.
Personality: Your going to be this person. Make sure to pick something you know that you can be. If your character is going to be an angry person, BE an angry person.
Personal Weakness: Your character's emotional, mental, and physical fears should go here. Dig deep into your character and
find something that he/she wouldn't want people to point out about him/her.
Personal Strengths: Pick something that makes your character stand out and makes that character different from the rest.
Likes and Dislikes: Things your character can and can't stand.
Biography: Your character should have a story of some kind that led up to the point where they're being a mage. You can't
simply write "unknown" or some "one worder". You have to give your character something to work with. Besides, your character
might just be chosen to participate in a Character Mission.
Step 2 -- Guild Data
All Guild data is probably best saved for after you join a guild. If you desire to be a loner, you may do so but you are required to never join another member in a mission and cannot be promoted. One can simply say which guild they wish to join during profile creation.
If you are interested in joining a guild right off the bat then go ahead. You don't have to go through the trouble of doing so through the role play. Unless that's what you wanted to do, character development matters to people. Just keep in mind that if your character has been in the guild for a while, that you clarify it with the captain of that guild. So that your profile doesn't interfere with the role play's story.
All mages within a guild are to begin as a D rank mage and work your
way up from there.
Step 3 -- Wizard Data
Mana Pool/MP: Your mana amount scales with your character. As your character begins to grow into his/her magic and become more powerful, their mana is expected to grow with them. To find out your mana amount you simply add all of your (base)stats together, and multiply them by 25. That is your mana amount. When looking for base stats, it can be easily identified as the numbers not affected by equipment or items.
STRIVE Points/SP: STRIVE are basically this guilds means of purchasing spells. Because I'm so nice, all guild members MUST start with the 500 STRIVE given in the profile skeleton.
Wiz Points/WP: Wiz Points are basically this guilds means of leveling up. They promote you to different ranks from the missions you complete. Because of this, you start with 000 WP until you complete your first mission or event.
Magic Name: This goes to your chosen magic. Here you place the name of the magic your character is allowed to use and wield in battle. No one is allowed to have more than one type or magic. You can choose your magic and, in the Magic Item/Spell creation topic, can discuss the magic's details and starting spells. here. You as a member are also welcome to create spells to that canon magic, or create your own custom magic here.
Magic Type: You can determine your magic type by looking at the topic belonging to your magic or by understanding what the different magics consist of during custom creation. Ex: If your magic was chosen in
the Caster Magic forum, your magic type is caster magic.
Spells: All Rank D Mages start with the basic spell in their magic type and then buy them with STRIVE as you journey through the world of Fairy Tail. Your attacks cannot exceed what has been written. If there is no basic spell written in the magic you request, its alright to create one. However, you must put it in the Magic // Spell Acceptance topic or your profile will be rejected until you've sent your magic through. Some magics have to be made differently because of the magic's format (I.E. Re-Equip Magic). Follow the format of your magic or you will not be allowed acceptance for your profile.
Statistics: Every beginning mage starts out with 30 statistic points to begin with. (stat pts) They use these points to define their character in combat.
-Strength: Your character's physical strength in combat.
-Defense: Your character's physical defense in combat. It defines the sheer pain they can take before feeling something tickle.
-Endurance: Defines how long your character can stay in combat. If endurance runs out, the character is incapacitated unless stated otherwise by the owner of the character.
-Speed: How fast the character can move in combat.
-Magic Power: How strong the character's magic is in combat.
-Resistance: Characters can use items develop a resistance to magic elementally. Every D-Rank mage starts at 1 in every element. This factors in directly with Defense, to reduce the oncoming damage. DO NOT ENTER STAT POINTS HERE. Resistance can only be increased via items, unless stated otherwise depending on the magic you picked.
Step 4: Inventory Data
Your character starts their journey with absolutely no items whatsoever. The number of inventory slots given to you by the profile skeleton will never change as you will have to buy bags and other containers that can hold your
items in larger quantities.
All members begin with 500 jewel currency.
All members begin with 500 STRIVE unless their chosen magic says otherwise.
Step 5: Extra Data
Anything extra that you wish to input about your character will be inputed here.
Step 6: Profile Acceptance
Once your profile has been made, you may not post until 1 moderator accepts it.
Step 7: After Profile Acceptance
After being accepted, you get to go repost your profile as its own topic in the profile area. That particular topic will be used by you to update your profile, and the moderator who accepted your character will post them up in their respective area as an official mage.
