Name: Ayano Egami
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Family Trade: Creation of Traditional Media Artwork in Painting & Sculpting (Fine Arts)
Class: 1-C
History: Parents are both renowned artists; her mother paints landscapes and portraits while her father sculpts for a living. She used to help the Toshiro sisters pick out colors for Roka's gowns back when all of them still attended Ouran together. However, before their transfer to Lobelia, his younger sisters were too young to understand Ayano was of a low class and therefore could not fathom their parents' rage when it was discovered that they played together. The Toshiro parents immediately forade all and any interaction between the Egami & Toshiro girls. Ayano's parents apologized repeatedly and even offered to assist in the designing of a new line of music devices in compensation for whatever damage had been done to the Toshiro's reputation.
Since then, Ayano has been reluctant to approach Roka. Not even when she noticed the cold, distant change in him once his sisters left Ouran did she allow herself to try and comfort him. Eventually Roka seemed to forget her along with his other childhood memories with his sisters as he focused instead on how to disatisfy his strict parents.
Personality: Confident, yet humble and polite, Ayano is a strong-minded individual who also has a remarkable sense of self-disipline and knows her place in the world; particularly as a lower class C student in the halls of Ouran High School. Though at times she may seem timid and naive, Ayano has a great deal of common sense and can be down-to-earth with her priorities in life. At the same time, she somehow manages to pull off the care-free attitude of those rich enough to afford admission to the prestigious school. Whether she actually feels as carefree as she behaves is anyone's guess, though few dare to question her financial situation. Her family attained their position only recently as high-ranking, famous artists mostly through luck and connections. Therefore, it has been assumed by wealthier, older families that Ayano had been educated as one of those students who are encouraged strongly to make and strengthen family ties.
Some students consider her a scheming, cleverly deceitful mind with unspoken plans to accend the ladders of success in life while skillfully using people to step on as her rungs. Others prefer to percieve her simply as she seems; a practical girl who quietly keeps her thoughts to herself in the presence of her betters and only voices them through subtle hints when she believes it is necessary. If there are things that need to be done, she is the sort, after asking permission, who will take it upon herself to accomplish whatever tasks are required of her. Her respect for the high classes keeps her, for the most part, in high regard among them.
Sexuality: Straight
Crush: Unknown (though she has been rumored to have spoken fondly with/about both Toshiro-kun & Kusanagi-kun)
Appearance:
Other:
- At least once she claimed (to Kusanagi-kun) to be of class B, but it didn't last long for she quickly confessed and explained that she didn't think he would have talked to her if he had known her true class.
- She seems to know a lot about Roka & the Toshiro children's history, though Roka doesn't seem to be able to recall too much about her - only that her and his sisters' plotting had been particularly clever (& cruel) when they had still been allowed to play together.
- Perhaps her past incident with the Toshiro family and the dishonor she brought upon her own explains her embarressment in the presence of class A students.
- Often seen with paint on her face, clothes, and in her hair. Usually has a pencil or paintbrush (often a wet one) tucked behind her ear.
