For someone how was always sure of what to do in his day, to keep busy, not knowing and being misdirected left a void and uncertainty to the world that was shattering. To make up for it, he created his own routine. Clean. Clean. Clean. Visit Rep. Clean. Clean. Sleep. Food sometimes found it's way there. Maybe. Did it matter?
It felt useless to come to Rep when he could not respond and served to remind him that no one was there, but simply his presence, responsive or not, was one of the few scraps in his life he could hoard to sustain him. He would visit once a day, sometimes twice if he simply couldn't find something to fill a space of time.
He opened the door, took a breath, and walked in again. At least in the pod room, you couldn't tell if it was early or late, as he wasn't even sure what hour it was.

Harrison had borrowed a couple of chairs.
All the visits were supervised. He wasn't planning on causing trouble. He was, instead, reading a gaming magazine out loud, which simultaneously contained spoilers and Japanese names that Harrison couldn't have pronounced right if somebody had paid him.
"Cherry-gummy's gameplay gets 4.5 outta 10." He paused. "The melee mechanics are s**t. You think all these console guys would team up and make a machine everyone could use."
Uh, yeah, it's called a PC.
"My a**. It's all just numbers and letters. Sure you don't mean the PSCDS41X," he grumbled.
He looked up briefly as the door opened, then back down at his magazine.

Melvin did not expect company, as his talks with Rep were always rather private, and mostly involved him getting choked up, talking to himself, and feeling pretty much worthless. The last thing he needed was an audience other than Rep for that, and he stopped in his tracked when he saw Harrison sitting there with a magazine. He should have guessed that Harrison would want to spend as much time with Rep as possible seeing as they were together. However, he wondered how long Harrison would be.
"Oh...sorry. Um, I didn't mean to intrude on your private time." That's what it was, right? Then again, reading a magazine didn't seem like Harrison was talking privately to Rep. Maybe he was doing the thing people did when people were in comas and reading to him.
He took a unsure step back. "I guess....that I'll just come back later?" He hoped Harrison would tell him what was a good time to come back.

Harrison turned a page.
"Stick around. He sure as hell won't mind."

It was a rather grim statement, and it sent Melvin frowning at Harrison for it, but considering Harrison was Rep's fiance, he was awarded certain privledges including poor taste in jokes.
Walking over, he looked up at the pod, feeling a twist in his gut again and then back down at Harrison. He still wasn't sure what had happened, and it was eating him alive. "Do...." He wasn't sure if he could even ask without upsetting the hunter. "....I never found out what happened." He admitted finally, curiosity too strong. "I was forced into a mission I didn't want to go to when it happened." He didn't know exactly when, but he was sure it had to be at some point between him waiting in line to leave the island to waking up and seeing that his throat wasn't slashed.
"You don't have to tell me though." It was, after all, probably a very bad story that wouldn't be fun to tell, and for once, Melvin knew that he wasn't entitled to an answer.

Harrison looked at Melvin a while, then uncrossed his ankles folded the magazine up.
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Ah, you know. The same kind of s**t. A few guys were calling him a f** on twitter and one of them was dumb enough to take him up on a spar."
Harrison gestured with a nod.
"Bubblegum over there."
The casualness ebbed away, and he tightened up explaining the last part.
"If he doesn't make it, Rep won't either."

Melvin's head snapped and looked over to the Bubblegum in question, walking over to look through the glass. Looking at the display, he read the name "Shiloh" and frowned. He barely even registered the name, and never recalled it as someone Rep had a particular hatred enough to mention to Melvin, but that didn't mean anything. Melvin hadn't know about Sasha until they were at each other's throats. There could be loads of people after Rep that he didn't know about - which only made Melvin wonder if Rep really was hiding a lot of problems from him under the guise that he had everything under control.
"I warned him about control on the field...he said he was handling it, but really -" he sighed as he looked at the face if the culprit. "People should know by now not to piss him off. I always wonder if there was a way to engine a runic to dampen weapons on the field." Or to make a energy pulse that could absorb lasting fear from a deadly blow.
But he was talking science and it wasn't something he could make to affect something that already happened. He might as well be saying he hoped to make a time machine."
"Is that how..." He turned to look at Harrison, gesturing faintly at his chest. "I didn't think someone would go that far in the field."

"No," Harrison said, "they must have done that when he got podded. Dwight said the Doctor was with him."
He leaned over, resting his elbows on his knees and folding his hands.
"Melvin, right? You still doing that runic object study?"

Melvin was already upset at the fact Rep's life was tied to someone who egged him on on a stuid social website, probably over themost stuipidest thing, but the mention of H had him turning around. "H?" He glanced back at Shiloh before moving back to Rep. "Some doctor. The guy is ******** nuts." But this was a bit beyond what even Melvin though. He thought Dr. H was just a manipulator, but this showed he would go so far as disecting someone over.....what exactly? Why did H feel compelled to open someone's chest, which in of itself stated the man's mental state, and then pod them? "The guy shouldn't even be in his postion, let alone being called a doctor."
He touched the glass over Rep's chest, where the tissue and organs could be seen. It was gruesome, and he imagined how it must feel to dig your arm into someone's chest before shivering.
At the question, he turned. "Uh, yeah. I brought everyone I could in who owned a runic and complied some information. I need to turn the full report in though. I've been a bit...distracted." To say the least. " I was hoping to apply the information on articats to runics in hopes I could make some better or new items for everyone. It ...hasn't been very successful." He had exploded a few minipets in their tanks if you wanted to consider that progess.
