The new bills annoys me because they stick together sad We lost 100$ because of that. They also melt easily so my friend's dad lost 20$ because he works at a metal recycling plant and a spark got in his pocket and melted/crumbled the bill badly.

Just like square tires (￣(エ)￣) yep, VERY practical. Sure, they're hard to make fakes of, but the money just causes problems sad Plastic money...sheesh lol... Brings a whole new meaning to "Paper or Plastic" haha

Just a little update:
Our bills are made of polymer which is much more durable than the paper bills.
The bills last longer, thus hurting the environment less and costing less since we don't have to constantly re-print. There are also a bunch of way safer security features. It's way harder to counterfeit these new ones too.
The bills only stick in the beginning and the trick is to rub them where it's completely clear as they don't stick there.
As for the maple that's not an actual thing.
The friction against the polymer creates a sweet smell that yes, smells like maple, but it wasn't intentional.
