 Finny never turned down a challenge. The forest was dark and foreboding, the kind of place kalona might hide, and Finny didn't feel a lick of fear when she walked through the edges. She'd been raised on life and adventure, and the tiny female was hardier than she looked. Perhaps growing up among both soquili and two-legs combined helped, or maybe the fearless adventures her father brought them. Regardless, Finny saw every new placve as a challenge when she grew older, roaming from her mother to embark on her own adventures, and this was one such. But what would she find? A delicious mushroom, perhaps dandelions? One never knew, and Finny pressed on, head held high.

 Not too far off in the distance, another mare was cautiously making her way through the forest. She'd been chasing after her small bat familiar, who seemed to have gotten lost. Again. But Bix was no where to be found and now Dark Side felt her skin begin to crawl in her unease at being alone out here. The place was dark and grim and she highly expected to find a kalona lurking about. Which only made her that much more skittish. And irritated her at how fearful she had grown. Inhaling deeply, she huffed out a breath, wings folded tightly along her sides. Movement from the corner over her vision caught Dark Side's attention. She paused, sniffing at the air and frowning a little, before cautiously moving towards the area she'd seen movement.
And almost ran snout first into another mare, which made an embarrassing little squeal escape the winged mare. "I-I am so sorry!" She quickly tried to regain as much dignity as she could.

Finny was startled when another mare ran into her. She'd been looking around, a big grin on her long face, the mare excited and eager to explore when another body bumped into her. The winged mare stumbled in surprise, jewelry jangling and ,oving before she settled, blinking and turning to the source before the lighter, violet female beamed warmly. "Oh! Hello!" She grinned. "Are you lost?"

 Dark Side ducked her head bashfully, embarrassed she'd run into the other mare. At least she didn't seem very upset by this fact. "H-Hello!" She managed to get out, tossing her head and dislodging some of her long mane from her horn. "Ah... no." Dark Side paused, sighing. "Well, not exactly? I was looking for my familiar friend. But I lost him." And then she'd gotten turned around in the forest.
Extracting herself from the trees a little more, Dark Side came up beside the other mare with a smile. "I'm Dark Side! You aren't lost, are you?" Wouldn't that suck? They'd both be stuck in here!

"I'm Finny! I was simply exploring." The female shook herself, not minding the other, and simply letting her hair right itself. "What kind of friend?" She tilted her head. Missing friends was horrible, though searching? Adventure. totally. "Maybe I can help you look?"

She had been exploring? Dark Side glanced around, ears perking up from where they had been plastered to her head in unease and nerves. Really, she wasn't usually such a chicken! She just wasn't very found of dark and spooky places. "Pleasure to meet you, Finny. I really am sorry I ran into you. Wasn't watching what was in front of me."
Tail swishing a little, the darker mare gave Finny a sheepish smile. "Bix is a bat. A... unfortunately, not so bright one." She sighed. Where Finny might get an adventure out of this, Dark Side just saw yet another search and rescue trip beginning. "I'd appreciate any help I could get!"
