Katriona's father is a hound archon was seriously injured protecting the village where her human mother lived. Her mother tended to his wounds and as he recovered they had a number of passionate days. After he recovered he chose to remain there for a time to help make the village safer for those that live there. He married Katriona's mother and five years later their daughter was born. Over the first five years of his daughter's life, whom he named Katriona, he taught her everything he possibly could before being recalled forcibly to his birthplace. During the next ten years Katriona trained herself further, becoming an accomplished blacksmith and skilled rapier wielder.

When she turned fifteen a bounty hunter came through the village searching for a criminal in the area. Katriona learned how to track people from the bounty hunter and helped her capture the criminal. That was when she decided to go out and become a bounty hunter herself. She proved herself quickly as a bounty hunter over the next couple years. When she was about seventeen she was tracking a serial rapist in the abandoned sections of London's sewers. He wound up overpowering her in an ambush and... had his way with her. After he was done she took one of his daggers and plunged it into his heart. Once she did that she didn't bother bringing his corpse in for the reward, she just handed the bloody dagger over and told them not to worry about him anymore before leaving without payment. This event caused her to switch to the attire she now wears and learn how to wield a dagger in her off hand to provide extra protection and provide new methods she could use to fight.

Over the next few years until she was twenty one she avoided hunting down rapists. She made even more of a name for herself with the skill that she incapacitated her marks. Lately she has slowed down a little bit and begun picking her jobs deliberately to allow her free time to relax more.
