Gay Screeching
I'm not tryig to be rude, but oh my gosh I think neru is the only vocaloid character I hate. xD
Like she's just a spin off of rin/len and Hatsune Miku.
Plus she's really cocky and is always trying to text len
like no
@_@
Actually, not all of that is true. Neru is a derivative/fanmade based off of Miku, but her story is really interesting. She was created after Miku was released in 2007 when people in Japan started criticizing the people who used Miku. Shortly after, Miku's images became unavailable on Yahoo!Japan and Google search engines. The people running it said it was just an error so they can "put out the fire," which is where "BOUKALOID" came from, but some believe it was because of a Anti-Miku negative campaign. Then people on the search engines started posting comments such as "Got bored, going to bed," which is where her name came from. The people who did this where thought to be apart of the campaign, so they made a spoof character for them which Smith Hioka finalized! Thus, Neru was born!
She became popular really fast, and Crypton decided to adopted her, along with Hachune and Haku, as official VOCALOIDS. However, they are only used for commercial use. With the growth of Neru's popularity though, they are considering giving her a promotion!
As for the NeruxLen. That is just a head-canon some people like, for example the creator of Chibi-Miku. It's not official. Furthermore, texting Len all the time would not be a very good display of Neru's actual personality. She is head strong and a tsundere. Even though she does like to play with her phone, she probably wouldn't text someone she liked. She would probably want someone she liked to make the first move and make them really work to get her attention.
Not to be mean. Just to be informative.
Things like this make me mad though, when people judge a character without really knowing their back story or get the character completely wrong because they stereotype their personality. Most people don't realize it though, so I can't really judge them.
