Well this holiday was going to be a bit annoying. Red eyes peered down accusingly at the bundle of cloth and tape wrapped around her left wrist. The cast hadn't jumped over when she powered up, and after spending the time delicately getting her now un-dented metal bracer... well. Her brace was makeshift, but it'll do. The metal bracer was back in place, giving extra support as she slipped in and out of alleys.
Turkey day over and done with, the city had already shifted its colors into the white, red, and green of the holidays. Though really, it'd been like this for almost a month by this point. Just everything had officially switched over from harvest-Thanksgiving festivities into.... Santa's-coming-to-town.
Not even Danika could ignore the right for radios stations to blast holiday music. The speakers outside some of the stores she lurked behind played a particuarlly upbeat, modern rendition of, "Santa Baby." Themiscyra's sandal bared toes tapped to the beat. Which also doubled beautifully as a way for her to keep her body heat up. She was already kicking herself for not bringing a jacket along.
Seriously. Roman attire, while kickass, was not suitable for incoming winter weather. Momentarily, she sent curses towards some of the senshi and knights she'd seen with longer, thicker layers.
Rubbing her uninjured hand across her other upperarm, the Page ventured just a tad closer to the brightly light streets, peering at the crowds and peeking into windows when able. This was her perfered form of patrol. Making sure crowds were safe from youma or... whatever else was out there. No bad juju senses tonight, least not yet. Didn't make much sense to her to waste her energy running around places people didn't go much. Even if it did mean she had to duck down a lot more to keep from being seen.
A candy store that produced their own products on site was in full swing beside her. She could smell the chocolate and sugar. Made her mouth water. Mmmm... pepermint! "Guess it's a good thing I can't store my wallet in this thing... they probably wouldn't respond well to a 'terrorist' walking into their store," she mused softly aloud, ducked in the alley still as she watched a group of kids wander by with their sugary goods clutched to their chests. She never did get why senshi seemed to get so much bad press. Where knights bundled into that mess, too..?
Wasn't like she knew many to ask. Oops.
Ryuthulhu SO DELAYED STARTER. But hey it's up -shot-

Her head scarves, which she was sure had a more technical term of which she was not aware, got her strange looks from passers by, as much as her delicate, not winter appropriate slippers, but maybe none so odd as the young woman dressed like... well.... sort of a Gladiator sort of thing. She hugged her own coat closer, having layered it on after transforming, and, after a moment's thought, edged a little closer, offering out a small hand warmer from the pocket. "You can kind of... cheat... put the coat on after you get changed." She offered, recognizing the signature of another fighter for Order, if not the uniform. "I bought a used one at the thrift store." She suggested and then added. "Hara Berezaiti. Sorry."

It'd been one thing to sense another Order energy somewhere out there. It'd been a whole other to lose herself for a moment, only to be brought back by a voice. The Page straightened and pushed a slightly sheepish grin to her face. So much for trying to stay out of sight. Wasn't really her best route anyways.
The offered hand warmer caused her eyes to widen, and after a quick flick of her gaze back up to the other girl in a silent for me? she took it with glee. Happily rolling it between her hands, she bobbed her head a little to what the other was saying. "I'd eyed my jacket for a while before heading out, but just... opted out. For warmth, though, not a semi-disguise." Her eye turned critical as she leaned back to give the other girl a look over. Lips pursing, brows lifting slightly, she nodded her head after a moment. Girl made it work. "Think I'll have to swipe your idea. Thanks."
She offered a hand towards the other girl as she spoke, "Themiscyra. Martian." Because saying Themiscyra of Mars over and over again was getting a tad boring. Still rather new to how to tell each group apart, and with Hara Berezaiti mostly covered in her coat... "Senshi? Knight? None of the above~?"

"Oh! Sorry!" She wasn't used to meeting other knights, or senshi, but mostly knights and she hastily corrected her earlier omission as she shook Themiscyra's hand. "I'm a page... of Chronos." She added, not sure if it was clear who Chronos was, but Suroundingan or any other variation therof didn't really make much sense. Chronos at least gave a name that could be looked into, or explained. "I think you're the first Mars knight I've met!" She added, glancing into the window at the candy and adding with a soft sigh. "Ooh, they make the cutest stuff. I'd love to get a chance to work in their kitchen. I'm so jealous." Bit of a non sequitur, but she really was jealous. "Oh that reminds me... I... kind of keep walking around with treats. Sort of a 'hi nice to meet you' thing... um.... would you like a chocolate-mouse cup?" It was in the other pocket, without the hand warmer, the reason she'd only packed one, and switched them off occasionally. Easier to keep in it's tiny rubber-lidded container than it was to wander aimlessly with a thermos of cocoa. She was starting to consider streamlining her introduction offerings.

"Chronos? You mean... the god of time?" She openly stared, bewilderment obvious. If there was one thing being a comics fan was good for, it was knowing random bits of mythology. Of course, she hoped Hara's version of Chronos wasn't a time traveling villain. As the other girl kept speaking though, Themiscyra chuckled to hide a wince. "I'm the only Martian I've met, too. Though on another mutual level, you're the first Chronos knight I've met." Were they similar in that reguard? She'd seen a few Jovian knights, some bearing the marks of Venus.... but not either of their symbols.
Her smile lightened, turning more genuine, at the turn of the conversation. "You into making sweets?" She peered back into the window. It was quite a treat to see how the bits were made. Added that extra satisfaction knowing you were munching on something handmade that someone took care in producing.
Of course, had she just waited a few seconds her question would have been answered. Eyes wide with a whole new meaning, the dark-haired Page whipped her attention back to Hara. "You had me at 'walking around with treats.' Please, thank you! That's... incredibly kind of you," she added with a bit of awe. She gave another look to the coat she was wearing. "Smart, too. What better way to make friends than over good food?"

"Well, she does sort of control time, in a way... she has powers to change the season in her area... it helps her Seasonal court. I don't think it does much for the Zodiac Soldiers. Or for us." She brushed at one of the long strands of icy colored hair that hung from under her hoods as she tried to explain. "She's the princess of the Surrounding, it... helps keep... it helps keep..." Her face paled slightly as she looked for words. "...If the surrounding weren't there... there are... much much larger... things that could come here... come hunting people. It draws power from... from unity, from us, even from you I think." She trailed off, latched on to a much more comfortable topic. "I love making candy. My dad introduced me to it, kind of." She beamed. "Chocolates are my favorite. These I picked up the idea for from the net. They're chocolate teacups with a white chocolate mouse inside. Sort of like a fancy truffle."

For a moment, Themiscyra just blinked. Absorbed the information. Tried to apply it to what little she knew about senshi... and only gave a, "Huh. Cool power." Least at first. "She's got a court? And soldiers? Along with knights?" No one told her they were going medieval here. Ok she'd deal with it. But. Valhalla never mentioned this. Did he? Maybe she'd glossed over something.
How powerful were these senshi people?
More of an explanation was given, and though it answered an aspect of the darker girl's questions... it only raised that many more. The Surrounding..? Her brow furrowed. "You mean... it keeps bigger youma away..?" That was the only thing that made remote sense to her, though exactly what this Surrounding was, and how unity had anything to do with it was beyond her.
The subject switched though, and Themiscyra wasn't sure it was appropriate for her to keep asking on her confusion. Instead, her smile perked up, listening to the other girl. Family inspired, good-will treats. All the more reason to grin and appreciate the effort the other put into things. "Your dad must be loving reaping the rewards from your hobby," she snickered, voice and smile warm. It was a sweet--pun not intended--concept though. "Do you experiment with recipes and presentations? Sounds like you found a yummy one, though." Her mouth may or may not have started to water hearing the description of these fancy truffles.

"I think they are youma, I just don't know if they're Youma in the sense that we know youma... I mean, the ones I saw were... so... so huge..." She shivered again. "Her soldiers are her senshi, but they're called Soldiers instead of the titles most Senshi use, I guess it's because they don't technically have a planet, they have an outpost. But yeah, all of them together I guess it's...." She locked her fingers together as an example. "Like the different pieces of the outpost make a defensive barrier, like an big electric fence to keep bigger things away so we don't have to deal with them here. Otherwise we could have something like that giant... whale...monster thing from Avengers come swooping down the street eating people." An example far far too close to her own experiences for her taste, but an accurate one. "Let's talk about chocolate though, it's so much nicer than talking about work." She tried to joke, forcing a slight laugh. "I do. I mean... I do play with recipes and presentation. It's fun, even the messes most of the time. I kind of want to have my own store someday, but I think I have a lot more studying to do if I want to go toe to toe with existing stores in Destiny City."

Themiscyra listened as the other explained these... youma, eyes wide as she tried to imagine the creatures. "You saw them? Donno if I envy you or not." No, she did. But the way the other girl responded to speaking about it made her hesitant to jump on the whole subject. How big did these things get? Was it like the sea? The deeper, more open the area was, the bigger stuff got? For the sake of the clearly less enthusiastic knight in front of her, she resisted the urge to joke about spaceship youma. Instead, she focused on how on the interesting tidbits about these senshi soldiers, finding particular interest in this talk of outposts and barriers. Her lips pressed together in a low whistle. "That sounds like it'd be cool to see. And your wonder's there? Man. Now I'm jealous." Not that her city was lacking in her mind--the views from Mars were pretty kickass in her biased opinion--but this whole other area, not even a planet... intrigued her. Had to be an amazing sight in and of itself.
The mention of the whale youma got a few snickers out of Themiscyra, unable to help it. "Oh man. Can this happen? I need someone to shout that they're bringing the party to a main group as they lure the thing over." That was too much fun for her to not keep laughing at the very concept, not realizing how close to home the situation was for Hara.
Hara's redirection had Themiscyra nodding, settling down from her snickers to smile curiously at the other as she talked about her... oh, potential career. "Have you looked into culinary classes? I donno if they specialize in more confection work or not, but it's a start." She paused, head cocking to the side as she eyed the other knight. "'Less you're already there, in which case you can ignore me. But I think aiming for a store would be kickass." Her eyes trailed towards the streets bustling with people, lips pursing as she thought a bit more about it. "Can't stay in a bad mood if you visit a fun store like that. And working there, it's gotta be a blast to experiment and see what new stuff you can come up with."
There was a reason Danika herself was pursuing fashion for a career. Making clothing for people, seeing how different bodies wore different styles, seeing peoples' faces when they saw themselves in the mirror... Best feelings in the world.
