- Most often, when viewed through an external lens, Xemnas appears to be nothing less than a carefree soul bearing absolute ignorance towards the world; rarely ever serious and never ceasing to retain his flamboyant atmosphere, he displays a personality reminiscent of a child that has yet to realise that the world is not consistent only of fun and games. This initially resulted due to the fact that he most often acts without thought, and relies on human nature and instinct to guide himself. The detail could also be easily accompanied by his major lack of childhood [that bestowed a schizophrenic nature upon himself] and desire for freedom that was not granted during his lifetime within the World of the Living. As a result of these details, he mainly only seems to care about himself and similar others, as well as his views and opinions. This is accompanied by an extremely stubborn disposition when opposed, making his character seem to be nothing less than that of a child. While this is true, however- similarly to the young nature of any adolescent-, Xemnas' emotions and process of thought appear to be skewed and unstable, though with slightly more noticeable control, as a result of his age. This is all majorly caused by his belief of himself being the physical embodiment of Lewis Carroll's "The Mad Hatter", found in the novels Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, of whom he attempts to mould the majority of his life around.
