AKA: Z, Zeke
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Professions: Urchin, Newsprint Reader, Occasional thief
Affinity: Fire
Appearance: Zeke already bears the broad shoulders and long limbs of a man born for an active lifestyle. He has shaggy brown hair that constantly falls into his blue eyes. His skin is light brown under the dirt of the streets. When it's warm outside, Zeke does what he can to wash his face and hands in a rain barrel or clear stream outside of the city limits. It's hard to find any sort of work at all if you look like you've been sleeping in the dirt.
His usual attire is threadbare discarded clothing, either out of mode or damaged in some way. Some larger holes, especially in any trousers he manages to find, are roughly patched with small knots of twine forced through the fibers. He really does care about how he presents himself, he just works with what he's got. He carries himself with an earnest sense of dignity and doesn't cower away from those 'better' than him.
Personality: Zeke is fearless. Nothing intimidates this young man. You can't bully or threaten him into doing what you want. Instead kindness is the best route to take. Be kind to him and he'll return the favor, be cruel and watch out. Zeke doesn't tolerate bullies no matter how big. He has a noble heart and will always stand up for the little guy, the underdog, even if he himself is no match for his opponent. He believes the world should be fair to everyone despite the fact that it isn't.
In the end though, as long as you show remorse, Zeke is willing to forgive anyone of their past transgressions and offer up a quick apology of his own. He's the type of kid to offer an honest hand up to the kid he just knocked to the ground.
His code of honor can be a little ambiguous out of necessity. He will snitch food or coin purses after he's exhausted all of his usual resources. He won't steal jewelery or other personal effects. Losing a few coins is one thing, but that necklace your gran gave you? He'd eat his own shirt first.
Zeke learned to read young and uses his talent to read the local papers to the illiterate for tips. He enjoys anything related to science and discovery, having an insatiable thirst for learning. Ezio likes watching crafters at their work and helping if he's allowed. If not he'll ask questions for as long as he's tolerated.
Ezio has a troubling lack of patience. Things should happen Now, not Later. He'll get frustrated and even angry fairly quick when something doesn't happen fast enough for him. He will dive headlong into something recklessly rather than wait for a solid plan or more information. Sitting still and quiet is hard if he's not being entertained by something.
He's not afraid to talk to anyone be they commoner, hound, or Nobility. Some might find it annoying or other's amusing, but he's very earnest and serious when doing so.
He wants to trust others, to believe that everyone's a good person but he's coming to accept that sometimes it's just not possible. For his safety and for that of those he loves, he can't just blindly put his faith in strangers hands. It hasn't stopped him from getting into trouble, finding at times that someone has taken advantage of him yet again.
Pros: Intelligent, Honorable, Driven,
Cons: Naive, Gullible, Impatient
