        xxxxLorde is one of the shortest Captains of the Fourteen ranging in at about five feet five inches even. Her primary feature is her snowy-white hair that flows just below her breast line which is usually kept braided or pinned up. Having worked in a factory for 400+ years has taught her to always keep her hair pinned back. Her skin is a marble with slight flairs of red on her cheeks and lips (thereby giving her the youthful appearance of a young teen). She has a slender body frame and toned arms from her various years of engineer work in Soul Society. Her roughness really plays a part in her being viewed by other people. She's not very "girly" to say the least. She may appear to be young, but she handles herself as an older woman in her thirties. Her bust is of averager size, and she's toned. Her beauty is that of which isn't caught easy. She doesn't want to be known for her looks, instead for her skills.
        User ImagexxxxLorde does have a scars on her person. From her youth days as a Soul, she has several burn marks on her wrists and calves from experimenting with hot medals. Also on her back, she has two vertical slash-like scars. Lorde prefers to keep her scars hidden, not out of shame, but instead out of respect. Her scars show her experience and she wants to establish a unity among her men and women of Squadron Thirteen. Very few have seen her burns and very few ever will for Lorde prefers to be clothed around people and not show her private areas.
        xxxxLorde can usually be found smudged with grease or soot from the factory when on her Squadron's grounds. She's not afraid to get dirty and mocks girls who complain about it. Lorde does prefer to keep her hair clean and unscathed by the factory. Lorde's eyes are also another defining feature. They are stark emerald and quite beautiful to look into. Often, her officers describe them as "piercing to the soul" because of her notorious glares she has been known to give.

        xxxxLorde prefers to not wear the garments provided by Squadron Eleven. She thinks of them as "bulky and too drab" for her taste. Instead, Lorde enjoys lighter tones of clothing (esp. purples, crimson, yellows, and oranges) over the traditional black Shinigami always wear. Usually, Lorde can be seen wearing revealing clothing that fits loosely and accentuates her womanly figure. She keeps herself in shape (primarily because of the factory work) and she enjoys flaunting it.
        xxxxLorde only wears her haori when she's not on the factory floor or walking about her Squad grounds. She will wear her haori off grounds, during meetings, and when other Squads come to visit her factory. Lorde doesn't like wearing shoes, so it's very common to find the Captain shoeless. In terms of jewelry, Lorde does indeed love wearing golden accessories that she makes herself. She usually wears her hair up in a loose bun with golden ornaments holding it up.

        Quirks
        xxxxLorde's personality sets her far apart from the other thirteen Captains. She prefers the company of her Squadron members over her ranking counterparts. Usually, she doesn't even appear at the monthly Captain's meetings. Lorde is quite sarcastic and enjoys poking fun at anyone she comes across.
        xxxxLorde is very lazy when it comes to anything other than engineering work. Her interests lie solely in her factory and gambling in the Market District. Often, Lorde can be found napping in her office or recovering from her notorious sake trips.
        xxxxWhen on the battlefield, Lorde is quite terrifying. Being an Advent Captain, her skills are legendary. She's sadistic, manipulative with her foes, and intense. Stemming from her rogue era, she often slays anything that gets in her way. Lorde doesn't quite favor Squadron Twelve one bit. She believes their work to be "an abomination" and cheap labor. Her philosophy lies in the grit of creating things from blood, sweat, and flames not lab work. Because of this, she very, very, very rarely visits Research and Development unless her higher authorities issue it. She does not like the Captain of Twelve either, instead preferring the company of the more combat-affiliated Captains. Lorde considers her Vice-Captain to be her closest friend and ally among all the souls in Soul Society.
        xxxxIn terms of leadership, Lorde leads by the motto: "Create something someone will remember one-thousand years from now." She's very encouraging to the workers in her factory and expects nothing from the best from every member no matter their rank. If someone within her factory cannot perform a task, she will not hesitate to aid them. Teamwork equals a better business.
        xxxxLorde also prefers the company of very few outside her Squadron. Her "circle" consists of Kaede Akamori, Katsuo Imai, Montiago V. Mangler, Iori Yaguiiro, and Kenpachi Hakua. She doesn't quite care for the company of Squadron Eight or Two. On the other hand, she views Squadron Four in high esteems. "Without them, we'd all be dead for sure." Lorde respects the Captain-Commander highly but is secretly terrified of the woman who stays in the High Tower.

        xxxxSabi no Joō is a massive steampunk train-hybrid robot who seldom speaks. He emits a thick smog from his mouth when he does speak. The spirit of Lorde's blade towers over her and usually appears on a desolate track in the ashen spirit world. Sabi no Joō does not wield a blade whatsoever, instead preferring a more peaceful tactic.

        xxxxThe tachi of Lorde's becomes two steampunk-style pistols. These pistols are made of reishi-infused wood, intricate golden trimmings, and three separate barrels. Her sheath also vanishes and becomes two separate holsters on each side of her hips. [See image for a clear visual] Lorde has also equipped a looped-cartridge with a pullable cord that allows Lorde to willingly throw the pistols at an enemy.
        xxxxSabi no Joō, in this form, has three levels of abilities associated with the three cartridges. In the top level, is a vile filled with maroon liquid. The liquid is a liquidmetal that very hard to maneuver with an requires an extensive amount of prior planning before using. Because of this, Lorde rarely uses this vile in battle unless vitally necessary or in times of a tactful situation of wits. The second cartridge is the main revolver of the pistol itself. It's opening is slightly angles as opposed to the other two.
        xxxxThere are two golden knobs on this one that are used a spark plugs to accelerate her bullets in Shikai. The third cartridge is completely straight and is connected to the bottom level of the pistol that has two small orbs. These smaller orbs are used to connect the other abilities from the upper cartridges.

        Shikai Abilities
      • Sabi Danmaku | さび弾幕 | 'rust barrage'
        xxxxSabi no Joō's first ability is the most basic level in her arsenal. Sabi Danmaku works by Lorde channeling a controlled amount of reiryoku into her pistol. By doing so, and simply pulling the trigger, Lorde can fire a concentrated blast at her opponent like a normal bullet. The bullet, when fired, is surrounded by a large collection of reishi. Lorde can easily fire these blasts in battle and there isn't a real limit to how many she can emit.
        xxxxAlthough, Lorde can increase and decrease the amount of reiryoku applied into her shots. This can put a strain on Lorde is she lets off a drastic shot on her opponent. This is usually used in close-range combat or to deal a final blow to an opponent. Lorde can also use the third cartridge of her pistol with Sabi Danmaku to target in on an opponent with several blast from her pistols.
        xxxxThis is called Sabi no dansu. By channeling reiryoku flow into the small golden orbs and firing off several blasts, Lorde can emit very thin lines of reishi that are connected to the bullets and target them at a foe all at once.
      • Waiyā no Sabi no Dansu | ワイヤーのサビのダンス | 'rust dance of wire'
        xxxxCoined "the black sheep skill", Waiyā no Sabi no Dansu is the least used ability Lorde possesses in Shikai form of Sabi no Joō. This ability requires an intense amount of pre-meditation and a thorough plan on how to use it on Lorde's part. Waiyā no Sabi no Dansu is accessed via the topmost barrel of each pistol and is based off of water/oxidation properties. By concentrating a specifically concentrated amount of reiryoku into the pistol(s), Lorde can fire a double shot blast at her opponent. Upon contact (be it with the enemy or a surrounding surface) the bullet will implode upon itself and release a liquid-maroon substance on the radius of ten feet. The liquid (which appears like water) will stain the surface of what it touches and remain there for four posts before completely evaporating. Lorde refers to this liquid as "rust".
        xxxxThe goal, ultimately, is to cover as many surfaces as possible. By doing so, Lorde can initiate the true ability of Waiyā no Sabi no Dansu. This coincides directly with Sabi Danmaku and the firing capabilities. Once the area has been strategically coated in the "rust", Lorde will initiate Sabi no hōyō and let off a barrage of blasts in the direction of each of the "rust" spots. The trick behind the "rust" is, just as Sabi Danmaku, there are thin lines of reishi connecting each of the spots together. With letting off her blasts, she can send them each onto the lines of reishi and send them wherever she has pinpointed for them to hit. The result would be a highly-concentrated super bullet if you will.
        xxxxThis ability has several drawbacks and is almost like a gambling match. Lorde must strategically place each "rust" spot and plan to where her opponent might be when she releases the barrage of blasts. These lines of reishi cannot hold an enemy captive, nor be felt by them since they are custom to Lorde's own reiryoku reserve. If Lorde does not left of her barrage, the lines of reishi will vanish in five posts and she must repeat the process over again.
      • Sabi Korison | さびコリソン | 'rust collision'
        xxxxSabi Korison is a completely offensive-type ability. This ability is used with the second and lowest barrel of the pistols. By focusing a large amount of reiryoku into her pistols, Lorde slams the two pistols together where the two golden knobs are and a spark ignites between them. That spark triggers a gathering of electricity into the golden orbs on the bottom of each pistol. Next, Lorde will shoot her pistols at the enemy but a bullet will not emit, instead an arrow shaped gathering of reishi will appear. The bullets are still inside of the arrow, but instead of being just a streak of energy, it's now an arrow.
        xxxxThe arrow itself acts as a super-charged bullet. Once contact is made with the target, it will explode. This ability is basically a combination of the other two abilities except with more power. This energy usually requires a lot more reiryoku flow on Lorde's part and requires a five post break between use. Lorde can shoot up to four arrow-bullets at once.

        Zanpakutō Name | Kami no Sabi no Joō | 神のさびの女王

        xxxxKami no Sabi no Joō is completely absent of a wielded weapon. Instead, when Lorde initiates Bankai, the pistols dissolve and explode. From the explosion, two large junkyard-built golems rise from the Earth emitting high temperatures of steam from their openings. Being made from junkyard metal parts, they pose a greater threat of inflicting damage to Lorde's opponents. Lorde controls them by the same invisible reishi lines she used in her Shikai form like a puppeteer. By doing this, Lorde can remain safely away from the combat unless she herself wishes to enter or is attacked surprisingly.
        xxxxLorde has the ability to break apart the golems and manipulate the individual pieces that make the golem. Usually, this can be used defensively or offensively. It is, on the other hand quite difficult to move the large golems at fast rates so speed is not on her side when the golem is fully assembled. When the equipment is separated, Lorde can propel and manipulate various pieces at much faster rates depending on their size.

      • Weights of different items when separated.
      • Ice and water based abilities pose a problem to Lorde's Bankai because of the rust water creates. Oxidation reduces the density of the medals as opposed to oxidation in her Shikai form.

        Bankai Abilities
      • Kurai Sabi no Arashi | 暗いさびの嵐 | 'dark rust storm'
        User ImagexxxxKurai Sabi no Arashi is considered the first dance of Lorde's Bankai. When activated, Lorde will close her hands into fists and the golems will break apart into hundreds of pieces of sharp medals. In doing this, Lorde will then motion her fists in the direction of the enemy and the wave of medals will follow suit. They act as a tidal wave of scraps charging in at an alarming rate. The smaller items will travel faster of course, while the larger items will remain towards the middle or back of the hoard. It can be noted that the sheer weight of this medal is over a ton and when charging at an opponent will be quite difficult to simply block.
        xxxxLorde cannot move the heavier objects as fast, so usually she will bombard the enemy with smaller items as a distraction and then bring in the heavier items in a sudden strike. The hoard can be manipulated into various types (ex: tornado form, wave, or even a barrier). The breakdown of the golems can only occur every five posts and lasts or three. The strain of lifting heavy items is exhausting on Lorde if prolonged. She can rest the items on the ground if the strain becomes to much, but this usually requires more energy and reiryoku flow to pick them back up. Once the ability is done, the items will reassemble into golem form or simply fall onto the ground depending on Lorde's state of reiryoku levels.
      • Jōki Dansu | 蒸気ダンス | 'steam dance'
        xxxxJōki Dansu is the second dance of Lorde's Bankai form. Lorde will announce the activation statement and clap her hands together, When this happens, the golems will begin to heighten their temperatures at their cores. By doing this, they start to emit a massive collection of hot steam. The goal of the steam is to burn or cloak Lorde and her golems. The closer the distance between the golem and the opponent the more extreme the burn trauma. The burning technique is usually used as an escape tactic when the golems or Lorde is in a sticky situation, or when the enemy is pinned down to the last instant.
        xxxxWhen used defensively, Lorde will use the steam to fill the battlefield and cloak herself. The steam itself is fairly thick with reishi compromised from the golem itself. By doing this, Lorde can either surprise her enemy or take a precocious move against her opponent. The steam can also be directed in a straight pathway depending on where Lorde wills it to be released. A steady shot of steam from a smaller, thinner pipe will be quite deadly to any foe in close parameter of the golem.
      • Sabi Marionetto | さびマリオネット | 'rust marionette'
        xxxxProbably one of Lorde's most powerful abilities is the third dance, Sabi Marionetto. Lorde completely disassembles the golems and spreads about the pieces all along the battlefield. Her thin lines of reishi vanish now since the metals are all strewn about. Lorde now has the ability to completely summon any item on the battlefield to her whim as a weapon or shield. Being an expert on engineering and blacksmith, Lorde can easily manipulate any piece she finds into a weapon by merely concentrating her reiryoku flow into the pieces. This is the true ability of Sabi Marionetto; the ability to meld medals together into a weapon.
        xxxxThis ability requires a lofty amount of reiryoku from Lorde. That being said, smaller items can be fashioned easily while larger ones take a lot more to meld. Once this ability is activated, Lorde must either transition into her final ability or completely end her Bankai. If she overuses this ability, Lorde will succumb to an unconscious state until her reiryoku levels are replenished naturally or by medical treatment. With the entire battlefield being coated in medal, it is easy for Lorde to transition into her final dance.
      • Saishū-Tekina Sabi no Dansu | 最終的なサビのダンス | 'final rust dance'
        User ImagexxxxThis ability is the last and most powerful ability Lorde possesses with her Zanpakuto. Saishū-Tekina Sabi no Dansu is the final dance of her Bankai state. Lorde may only enter this ability once she has activated Sabi Marionetto. Lorde will gather all of the medals she has upon the battlefield and break it down into pure reishi. Then, she will meld the pure energy into a large portal structure made of pure medal. The structure itself towers above Lorde and flows with pure reaitsu. In this form, Lorde's full reatisu can be felt as this is her most "pure" state of release. She coins this structure as "The Queen's Gate".
        xxxxLorde musters all of her energy into the structure and it begins to glow a bright jade-color. With declaring "Kiyomeru" Lorde will release the full extent of her Bankai power onto the enemy. The blast, a magnified by 100 times, is not only damaging to the enemy and area around, but also to Lorde for this drastic amount of release it severely dangerous on any Shinigami's reiryoku system. This ability is only to be used as a last stand maneuver and nothing else. Lorde has only used this ability once in her entire lifetime.

        Kido Background Knowledge |
        xxxxLorde has had a lot of time to practice the Arcane Arts of Kido. Being one of the oldest Captains to hold position, Lorde has learned quite a bit about Kido altogether. She considers the Kido Master to be one of her closest friends (outside of her Squad mates) and because of this, she has been able to sit in and observe how Kido works. Being the Principle Engineer of Soul Society and more importantly Seireitei, Lorde has learned to fuse Kido and Welding into a harmonious unison. Lorde's personal preference is Hadō because of its destructive nature.
        xxxxShe thoroughly enjoys using the various spells against her enemy and fusing them in with her pistol-style of combat. Although she has studied the art for an extended amount of time, Lorde is till a bit shaky on the higher level 90's range Kido's. She can preform these spells, but the full incantation is required as well as more energy than that of Squadron Six's Captain.

        Description: The practitioner generates an orb of light blue energy, which not only blocks attacks, but repels whatever strikes it.

        Incantation: "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!"
        Description: The practitioner, drawing the symbols of the spell in the air, causes his/her entire body to permeate a red energy. The same red energy, engulfing the body of the target, causes complete paralysis.

        Incantation: "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat!"
        Description: The practitioner, using the index and middle fingers, generates an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns which, ensnaring the opponent as the tendril wraps around their body, immobilizes them. The end of it remains in the hands of the user, allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō can connect with another one of itself, if both have captured a target, and bind them together.

        Description: Crackling yellow energy gathers in the user's hand, who draws in triangle mid-air. The symbol creates solidified energy on the shape of smaller triangles from its three points and fires them at the intended target, pinning them to a nearby surface, slamming into his/her body in three places in the shape of a perfect triangle and immobilizing them.

        Description: Tsuriboshi is primarily used to catch. The spell creates a ball of blue energy that fires out six "ropes" from its center. The "ropes" attach themselves to any sturdy nearby object and the energy in the center solidifies into a flat elastic-like cushion. The spell can stop falling objects similar to a safety net.

As their vision begins to blur and become unfocused, their consciousness becomes muddled, disoriented, and confused. Shortly thereafter, the target blacks out altogether, losing consciousness, only to awaken with an unclear memory of what occurred.



        Spell Name: Tōyochi (凍輿地, Frozen World)

        Incantation: "Tundra and glacier spread forth into the air, in the realm of white night!"
        Description: This Kidō causes all moisture near the earth's surface to instantly freeze, causing jagged pillars of ice to jut up from the ground. The slightest touch by any spike or even the ground itself will result in the target being frozen to it, binding them to the ice until they can tear themselves free.



        Spell Name: Kakushitsuijaku (摑趾追雀, Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows)
        Number: 58
        Incantation: "Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain."
        Description: Kakushitsuijaku heightens the user's senses and awareness to seize a target. The practitioner draws a circle, with the appropriate symbols set apart in four quadrants upon the ground, using a black powder. When they place their hands palms down just under the circle to activate the spell, the circle glows with a blue light as the symbols within the circle are animated, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.



        Spell Name: Rikujōkōrō (六杖光牢, Six Rods Prison of Light

        Incantation: "Carriage of thunder, bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!"
        Description: The practitioner points his/her index finger at the target, generating a spark of yellow energy, which summons six thin, wide beams of light, which, slamming into a target's midsection, hold them in place. The target is unable to move any part of their body, including the parts which were not struck by the beams.



        Spell Name: Hyapporankan (百歩欄干, Hundred Steps Fence)

        Incantation: Unknown
        Description: The practitioner, generating a blue-white glowing rod of energy in his/her hand, throws it at the intended target. It multiplies into a hundred more rods, which, raining down on the target, pin him or her against a solid surface and completely immobilize them. It is hard to dodge in a small area.



        Spell Name: Sajō Sabaku (鎖条鎖縛, Locking Bondage Stripes)

        Description: The practitioner, raising his/her palm up to the target, closes his/her hand into a fist. The user calls forth yellow energy, taking a form of very thick rope, which ensnares the opponent, similar to Bakudō No. 4, but much stronger, instead binding the upper body of the target.



        Spell Name: Flowering Whirlwind, Barrier of Wind

        Incantation: "Surging storm of spring, give us the protection of the westwind."
        Description: he user creates and surrounds themselves in a small tornado (cloud to ground), which uses intense air currents as protection against outside threats, while also physically attacking the user's surroundings with intense wind. The tornado will pull in anything that has insufficient power to penetrate it or break it, and whatever it pulls in is quickly driven straight into the ground on the outer edge of the funnel, with the force of the tornado's power behind it, following the direction of the funnel's winds. Lightweight materials will hit the ground and spread outwards, similar to exhaust coming from a space shuttle during launch. If an opponent lacks the physical strength to resist the power of the winds, they will be picked up and pulled into the funnel, and will be unable to escape the hold; physical strength becomes irrelevant when the opponent isn't in a position to resist, for instance, if they are in mid-air and cannot fly. The eye of the tornado is 15 feet in diameter, granting the user the room she needs to move about, if necessary.

        Description: A relatively simple Hadō that covers the caster's fist in Reiryoku, allowing for added force behind a punch. Relatively speaking, it can allow a Shinigami with human-level strength to dent iron and makes their fist feel like an iron mass. Like other Hadō, it does not last long, only hardening the fist to give enough time to punch.

        Description: The user flings their hand, summoning forth a surge of fire that splits into a dozen wasp-like projectiles that detonate, causing explosions large enough to engulf a person.

        Incantation: "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"
        Description: The user, generating high-temperature flames, discharges it from both hands or the finger, in the form of an orb (small, medium, or large depending on the power used. The destructive power released by the blast can vary between a simple explosion to a pillar of energy. In both instances, the spell causes concussive as well as burn damage.



        Spell Name: Ōkasen (黄火閃, Yellow Fire Flash)

        Incantation: Unknown
        Description: The practitioner, raising their Zanpakutō horizontally in front of them, generates a yellow orb which widens itself along the length of their sword. Once it is fully charged, it fires outward as a horizontal blast, in a wide arc of yellow energy, at the target. This technique can be launched from the hand instead of a Zanpakutō, albeit producing a shorter arc.

        Description: The practitioner generates a orb of yellow lighting above the palm of his/her hand. The practitioner can then release the built up energy at his/her target with a massive concentration of energy that appears as a high level lightning strike. The effect has devastatingly destructive results.

        xxxxBeing a master maker of weaponry, Lorde is quite versed in the arts of Zanjutsu. She possesses a tachi sword, so her most comfortable style is Kendo. She prefers to strike when the time is right with her blade. She can be seen holdings the blade with two hands instead of one due to her blade being longer than the average katana.
        xxxxLorde has also been known to toss her blade about while combining aerobics into her battles. Lorde has added a few modifications to her blade in order to do this, so she can switch up her style any time. This aerobic-like style in her personally coined art. Also, since her Shikai is that of a pistol, Lorde has become an expert on the arts of hand gun operation. Her skill is to the level where she can shoot backwards without looking and hitting a target nearly every time. Because she is an Advent Captain, her skills are unmatched. Her pistol style can also be seen being combined with her aerobics.
        Hakuda |
        xxxxLorde usually does not engage in battle without her blade, but when she does she relies more on her legs and feet in Hakuda. She is a master of Tai Chi and is very quick on her feet. Her kicks are quite forceful, while her hand-to-hand is less powerful. Lorde is flexible, so she will and has been known to throw herself around the battlefield with ease. Her light body size is a huge factor in this. Though she is not the most skilled user in Hakuda, Lorde is powerful enough to rival most of Seireitei. Lorde doesn't prefer to engage hand-to-hand because she doesn't have time to create a strategy.
        Hohō |
        xxxxLorde, being a Captain, is proficient in this field but not that fastest amongst her peers. On the other hand, Lorde is very agile and flexible. Lorde prefers not to Shunpo frequently in battle feeling it's an easy way out of direct swordplay.
        Durability |
        xxxxBeing a Shinigami, Lorde has shown to be quite durable. Lorde can be propelled through various buildings and remain in condition to battle. Lorde can also lift structures almost twice her size (considering her Bankai imporperates lifting heavy metal structures). She can also hold her own against larger foes. Lorde can withstand vital wounds in battle for limited durations as well.
        Reiryoku |
        xxxxPerhaps one of Lorde's most skilled fields as a Shinigami is her control over her Reiryoku channels. Because both her Shikai and Bankai both center around control over reiryoku. Lorde is considered to have immense spiritual ability, this means enormous amount of spiritual power can be finely controlled.
        Engineering Skills |
        xxxxBeing the Captain of Squadron Thirteen, and a student of the Divine Engineer of the King's Realm, Lorde is considered the most skilled engineer in Seireitei. She solves all engineering problems, design systems etc. through creative and innovative thinking. She can easily look at new data and apply creative and new ways to finding more knowledge about this data. Lorde can use a wide range of tools and technologies. Her attention to detail is unmatched by anyone is Seireitei. Lorde is very skilled in mathematics, this comes from having to run intricate and complex calculations all the time. Lorde is always learning new information on how to make her inventions better.

        Chapter One Conception.
        Time Frame Nearly 1,000 years ago
        Rukongai is quite the dangerous place.

        xxxxNearly one thousand years ago, Lorde Saikyou was born again into the Spirit Realm known as Soul Society. Lorde was bore into the slum district of Rukongai. At this time, far before the social democracy spread over Soul Society, The Slums were quite the dangerous place. Lorde, at this time a very young girl, had no family and no friends. She resided deep up in the mountainous regions of The Slums where the abandoned factories were built into the rock so carefully. Up here, Lorde was opened to a world of medal and ancient industrialization the souls had developed from observing the humans in the World of the Living. This place, this lonely place, was home to Lorde. Surrounded by junk pieces of scrap medal, Lorde's young imagination began to wonder. Soon, she began to build mock models of people creating a "family" for herself. These people listened when she spoke and didn't ever bother to talk back (Lorde thought to herself). Eventually, Lorde's junk "family" grew to massive numbers.
        xxxxAs time progressed, Lorde began to grow lonesome. Her "family didn't speak to her and she craved just to hear a voice answer her's. Lorde had a deep fear of leaving her mountain-residence; the world below frightened her to cold sweats at the mere thought. Soon enough, Lorde's desperation grew to knew heights. Feeling herself slowly slipping into madness, she began to experiment more on the robotics of bringing her "family" to life. Lorde repeatedly and repeatedly attempted to give the metal dolls a voice with no avail. It wasn't until one day she finally got it right. By rewiring an old radio system she found, and ciphering energy from the village below, Lorde finally brought her dolls to life. Finally, after an eternity of silence, Lorde finally found a voice to answer her's. But, just as her greatest triumph began, her biggest downfall also was born.

        Chapter Two Drifting Into Madness.
        Time Frame 975 years ago
        "I know you'll never leave me, we're family, right?"

        xxxxAfter almost one hundred years of isolation, Lorde drifted into madness. The young soul became obsessed with creating more and more "family" members from parts she would find around the massive factory. Lorde had developed signs of schizophrenia; the metals dolls she made would talk to her and she'd answer them. She began to hear voices whispering about intruders coming to steal her family from her. Motivated by these whispers inside her mind, Lorde began to build more deadly inventions to protect the factory and her family. As she created more, her whispers got louder and louder telling her of the evil that was to come and how she must defend herself and her family. Madness had officially overcome the young girl.
        xxxxThis strange activity began to attract the attention of the lower-city dwellers. As Lorde created more the amount of energy being used nearly tripled. The villagers experienced regular power outs, and sometimes went without lights for days. All signs pointed to the old factory as the black smoke began to fill the air (something that hadn't been seen for years). One night, the villagers organized a massive, weapon-wielding hoard and marched up the mountainous terrain to confront whomever was stealing their energy. Bombarding in, the horde found a ash-ridden Lorde amid-st a pile of metal-robots babbling mindlessly to herself and welding various things together. Lorde, sensing their presence now, went completely berserk. She activated all of her creations simultaneously and sent them after the hoard of villagers. They were instantly murdered by the automated creations. Only one villager escaped; he fled to the village and told of the horrors that occurred up in the factory.
        xxxxLorde's schizophrenia was now chronic. The surprise hoard only inspired Lorde to eliminate all things that stood in the way of her protecting her metal family. Something strange was happening to Lorde at this time. In her sleep, Lorde would envision a world filled with steam where was stood on a lonely track. Every time in the dream she'd hear a soft voice calling her name telling her to "release her true nature". She brushed it off, instead focusing on making more robotic drones to eliminate the foe below.
